Before watching this video i was thinking that the cost of gold chain is so expensive only because its made of gold but it takes so much of effort to make an irregular tiny piece of gold into such a beautiful chain.

I remember doing this WAY back in the day.. nowadays machines makes chains flawless at almost the price of the gold itself!. TO ME the added value of a handmade chain will ALWAYS be worth much more to me than the price of the gold.. I wish more costumers felt the same way...

The amount of labor to create a single chain is no joke. I'm wearing a 21k gold necklace for years, biting the pendent if I'm bored and rarely take care of it. I change my mind after watching this.

Lol that's no small amount. A chain is basically just a twisted wire & gold is very "stretchable".
He showed himself making one coil but then 3 appeared on the bench.
It's fair to assume more than 3 times the amount you first saw him with, is roughly the correct amount needed for this project, plus a little extra for the S shaped Clasp.

How much grams of gold did you start with and is it 10k or 14k? And can you buy chunks like that anywhere?
It’s 24k gold. Started with around 20g, finished product about 12g
