You can train BJJ two times per week and still get better. Although you may desire to do so (but can’t because of life’s obligations), you do not have to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 5-7 times per week to improve your game and skills. In this video I explain why training BJJ two to three times per week might actually be better for you than trying to train 5 to 7 times per week. In this video I give tips on how to maximize your training & development when you have only two to three days per week to make it into the academy.

As always, great advice - I trained twice a week for years because I was doing Hapkido simultaneously, but after a daughter and COVID I dropped Hapkido right before black belt (after a bunch of other arts) and focused just on Jiu Jitsu 3 x week - it’s almost 7 years in and so much more to learn / 56 next month - keeps me feeling really young at times and really old at other times 😂

Hey coach, I'm assuming you don't reply to comments since this vid is 2 years old but I'm training 2 times a week but I don't know how to fit weightlifting/calisthenics in my schedule... I feel too sore when I train twice a week and go lift weights on the weekend. I hope my body will be able to adapt to this training in the future but it's been like two months and I don't feel like getting anywhere.. I'd appreciate any remarks on this :) Cheers.
