The lead singer sings her heart and soul out here. I think these kids would have loved to have lived in the 1970s when this music was an everyday thing.
@@groverrambo1498 I always keep my eye out for them doing another song or songs that I know (those later than 2000 I'm not familiar with) Most covers of old classics are often poorly done but these kids are always spot on.
The 3-part back harmonies are absolutely killer, the three guitar players were seamless, the rhythm section was rock solid, the piano player has great touch (while leading the whole thing) and the lead singer brought it all home - beautifully. I’ve been playing for over 40 years, so I’m qualified to say: this is next-level awesome. Great job everyone!
Covering Freddie Mercury and Queen doing anything, let alone this masterpiece, is next to impossible. But again SOR gets it done! Respect to everyone on this wonderful performance.
As a woman learning bass who is obsessed with Queen, I’m loving seeing a fellow chick rocking the Deacon bass lines! Lots of talent from this group. A great tribute to a great classic, the lead vocalist did a wonderful job putting some of her own twists on it. The lead killed it on that guitar solo! Lots of energy from the drummer!! Really seriously great performance!
Preach! I too am a woman who learnt the bass because of Queen and John Deacon! Bass girls unite! :D Whats your favourite Deaky bass line? Mine is The Millionaires Waltz! Utter perfection! :)
I hope all the members of Queen have seen this! A fitting tribute if ever, I’ve seen one! These young people took on a big challenge and pulled it off 100%!
I'm a huge Queen fan and I came into this thinking it was going to be a mistake, that they wouldn't have anyone able to sing Freddie. But in fact, I was the one who was mistaken. This girl crushed it! Great job!
This is what I love about the SOR program, many people will cover a classic song and strive to be note for note perfect (and there is nothing wrong with that). But SOR is encouraging these kids to learn the songs and then make them their own! And to be honest I think some of these songs are even better then the original! 😀

way better than I expected! Lead singer was super and gorgeous too! Would love to hear her sing more. Bass player very good and all did very well. Great job students!!
I'm not quite sure what to say, I was blown away on so many levels. I guess the only right thing to say is, that was tremendous!!! That is an unbelievably hard song to get right, but you all did it. All the vocals were spot on. The harmonies that sound so easy when someone else is doing them, are infinitely harder when it is you that has to carry off the 3rd and 4th harmonies in live time. Queen did it using massive amounts of layering and never attempted it live. The guitar players were all outstanding and I especially enjoyed the Lefty in the bunch. I loved hearing the contrasts between all your guitars in sound and style. The bass player, was awesome!!! She added so much in terms of style and sound, I was blown away. Keyboard guy excellent, the melody line hung on you and you nailed it spot on. Drums were awesome, you played and kept everyone going in the same direction, all while doing the little things that flavored your style, without drawing attention to yourself. Finally, the lead singer, I felt every bit of your performance. Your voice was beautiful and full of conviction, you made this your version. Tough to do with an iconic song like this where the temptation to sound like Freddie is always trying to assert itself. I will be making trips back to this version in the future 'cause it restores my faith in the fact that this generation is giving music it's due. Thank you all of you!!!

I don't know who the instructors are teaching these kids, but they need a raise. Both the vocals and musicianship skills of these kids are way beyond their years, some people twice their age are not half as good as they are.
Words are simply not enough to fully express just how brilliant this is! Every element, the vocals, instrumentals, acoustic environment, arrangement, direction, mixing, camera, editing . . . . just WOW!
These kids did a good job of covering this classic. Bohemian Rhapsody is probably one of the hardest songs to cover, not due to the difficulty but rather because everyone will automatically compare it to the iconic original by Queen. Also, get them some drive pedals for the guitars, it was a bit lacking there.
That was a first-class performance of an extremely difficult composition! I really enjoyed this -- every part of the complex construction of the song was there. Especial praise for the lead singer, who just rocked this performance. What a confident, stylish and emotional take on this -- it was a worthy tribute to Freddie Mercury. only thing i don't like is that many-a-original-male-song-lead is sung by girls because they don't think they can get a male with that high of a voice or whatever. I have heard there are plenty of male singers to choose from and the collection of male artists at School of Rock is vast.
