    I think what you really want is sport-bike performance in a comfy lightweight package? Suzuki GSX-S1000 GX maybe? 🤔it looks stunning in pearl matt shadow green 🤩👍 BTW the Bros does sound sweet!

    I've had a lot of high-performance bikes. I ended up with a 22 mt09 after seeing the reviews. It's the most fun I've had in years. With the new SP out next year, you could wait for a test ride.

      Thanks for your comment! While I've no doubt you really are enjoying your MT09 and that it is one excellent bike, sadly I'm not a fan of the looks of it, or the Tracer 9 to be honest. But the XSR does ring my bell! 😍😁

    Hey Ricky. Nice vid 👍The XSR900 is a lovely looking machine. Nice power & options on them too - look forward to your test ride/review... 🤔 I like the RS660 as well - assume you have considered a Tuono 660 for the riding position? My left field suggestion for you would be the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce. I look forward to getting kick back for that 🙃

      Thank Darren for your comments 😊 I wasn't very impressed with the Tuono when I tested it - I liked the RS model better at the time. I have also tested the MV Turismo Veloce on this channel and I did like it as it happens! Much sportier than I was expecting. Pricey though! If I buy one I'll send you a free biscuit 😂

    Why not just take your time and wait for BMW to propose different versions of the 1300 boxer ? But then you mentioned sport trails. In that category I confess I really don’t see why looking for absurd amounts of power, especially when Suzuki just sorted out a very well packaged bike.
    Cheers ✌️

    My 2020 r1250r was a great bike but after two years I swapped it for a 2022 S1000xr which made me realise the excitement I’d been missing. Sounds like you’re looking in all directions for the right bike so you may have to compromise based on what you really want to use it for…….

      @RikkyTang  10 месяцев назад

      Very true Spiko, I know I'm going to have to compromise... not sure which attributes are going to win me over this time round! In the last few years I went from a Suzuki 1250S Bandit (a bit slow and ponderous but grunty) to an S1000R (very exciting but lacks in the low/midrange) to the R1250R (amazing low/midrange, but lacks something up top, like you have found!).
      I reckon the XSR900 GP might be the winner, but then it doesn't really take luggage which could be a hassle.

    Hi Rikky not sure a big bike is what you need. With speed limits being reduced and top speed still only 70mph why look for something with potential for you to lose your license. The days of speeding around is slowly fading away. But a good middle weight ie f900r/xr bmw. Tracer 9/MT 09 sp. XSR 900 GP. KAWASAKI Z900/RS SE. Or the brand new Suzuki GSXS 1000 GX All worthy bike and cheaper on your wallet. And to change the subject I’ve fitted my givvi screen on my 390 adventure if you would like to try it out let me know 👍🏿😮

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Des thanks once again for your offer to try out your bike with the screen 😊 I do think I will be buying a new one sooner or later... I might put it on my Christmas list so a family member buys it for me instead 😂
      And Yes your point is well taken, which is part of the reason I'm thinking of the RS660.. it's light, handles well and you can use more of the available performance before getting into licence-losing territory! I don't really like the looks of the Tracer 9 or MT09 but luckily the XSR is there to save the day 😁

      @@RikkyTang the offer was more about someone reviewing the screen as there is only one on RUclips that I found. I’m even willing to let you have it for a short period to try it on your bike if you want to try it out at your leisure 👍🏿

    🤣Rikky I really don't think you know what you want it kinda seems like your hopping from out and out sports to adventure and some in-between.I get it too ! since I have been thinking for the past six months what I might like to add to my garage between fours and twins it becomes very difficult as the choice these days are amazingly difficult ,and knowing what you don't want is the easy bit and of course their is always the ugly part being money too that financial ceiling can be very frustrating 😉 hope you get the right one for you at the right price .👌👍

    With your uncertainty best you get a nearly new second hand bike so you can swap it if it docent suit....... and now is the time to buy, dealers are dropping prices aggressively at the moment

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  10 месяцев назад +1

      Good call, and to be honest one thing I've thought about before is buying cheaper bikes, riding them for a while and then going to another one... mainly for generating interest in in this YT channel! I'm not sure if it would work and insurance money would be an expense I wouldn't get back, especially now that fewer companies seem willing to quote me since the accident (despite having protected no claims discount).

    Don't get me wrong but I think your main problem is that you have no inner vision of what bike would suit you. So the question is more: Which bike is you? Otherwise you'l keep buying new ones till kingdom come. Which suits the industry anyway. Furhtermore: Yes, the Eicma brought exciting news after quite a few years of rehashing old stuff. The fleet reduction consequemnces of Euro 5 have passed as did the economic consequences of Corona for the factories and the Japanese are waking up to the Chinese threat.Furhtermore: Cleaning the carbs of the Honda is a breeze! I did it some months ago. Lastly: Cleaning the carbs of the Honda is a breeze! I did it some months ago. But I am talking to a wall by now, I gues! 🙂

      You're not wrong Marc, I am not sure what bike I want next. The problem is that I really want a bike that does it all... on-road, green lanes, track days, long distance, takes luggage but is also lightweight... top end power but also torquey, decent fuel range etc etc. However I know I can't have it all and so I have to decide on what compromises to make. I'm sure I'll naturally focus my requirements as it gets closer to crunch time. The good news is that I enjoy this part 😊 I expect the Bros will go if someone offers the right money - I've had my fun and made my dream come true - I think it's time to move on now.
