I think I've actually commented this before... but this is by far the best I've ever heard these guys live. I watched them in Louisville when the play with Story of the Year back in '05 and wasn't very impressed. Stephen is incredible, but he overdubs a bit too much in the studio. Finally having more than one person to help him out with vocals on stage makes a huge difference.

anberlin is a band that thrives off of the live audience/concert feel. this must have been hard doing this song with energy for a bunch of people sitting in seats
every band i see on youtube live sounds so much different than when i actually get to see them live, dont get discouraged by youtube videos of performances or anything, when actually seeing them, they are pretty amazing
Theyre amazing live, saw them a few months ago. The person eq'ing this sucks at it. you dont get the ambience of the room also, just the direct line from the boxes. If you have the chance to see them live, take it
the producer made anberlin's sound in this song's recorded version sound amazing (along with the rest of the album). They do a good job of making it sound as best as it did on the album. Kudos to them. I saw them live at warped tour at the gorge in washington and they sounded great. It took me a while to get used to their recorded music (cuase its not typically my style) and they are now my current favorite band.
im so excited and proud for anberlin! their first headlining tour and television debut!! thats so awesome!! and glass house was amazing!!! look for the few videos i have of them from glass house!
Be sure to see them on the US Warp tour. They are as Mr Burns would say "an EXXX-Cellent" band that actually can play their instruments live and sing with some great harmonies. Great lyrics too.

I think both are good, and I just saw Anberlin live and i was blown away. I am a new listener though.. but i just appreciate their unique style and their message..so i feel for ya but....

They already are. Christian used to be pretty bad live (back in 04 and such) this video is from early last year, if not late '07 and they have gotten to be VERY good recently..
its live sound they soundcheck once, maybe, twice, and the soundguy has like maybe 10 mintes to make them sound good as opposed to the hours or even days they take do this in the studio so its mostly the lack of mixing that makes them sound a bit flat, or whatever

Agree that this vid isnt the best but I saw Anberlin live in Vegas last week and they were AMAZING. Very on par with the cd.
