Lyrics:
Now I see you standing with brown leaves all around and snow in your hair
Now we're smiling out the window of the crummy hotel over Washington Square
Our breath comes in white clouds, mingles and hangs in the air
Speaking strictly for me we both could've died then and there
Now you're telling me you're not nostalgic
Then give me another word for it
You were so good with words
And at keeping things vague

the best singer in the history of metal rock for me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is why Judas Priest will always be metal gods. Always impressed with Halfords voice.
By far the best voice ever to this day for his age especially!!
Priest and Maiden for life!!!
i approuved
@@steveleveck5113 ever ?
how about singers like bruce dickinson, ivan l moody , david draiman, jeff gut, Johnny Gioeli , serj tankjan just to mention a few ?
they are not at robs age, but they are good !
but for his age, he is pretty unmatched.. bruce dickinson comes close tho !
He is an anomaly. Another that comes to mind is Paul Rogers. He is also in his 70's and sings so on key with so much versatility. Dolly Parton is up there also and she is older than these guys.
Halford and Dio are the two best singers in the entire history of heavy metal.
and DICKINSON
Absolutely 100% fact. 🤘
total agree
Coverdales better
Rob Halford, David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes, they all wipe the floor with Dio who's overrated.
Hats off to these icons. I'm 58 and loved them since the age of 14. Old school rules.
I’m in my 60s & loved them since I heard Ripper on my car stereo. When Hell Bent for Leather hit, i was in ecstasy! Saw that show in ST Louis in an opera house. Exquisite!!! They first wore leather on that tour. I saw them last year & seeing them again this year! LONG LIVE JUDAS PRIEST! My friend has seen them 15 times, soon to be 16 times!
I'm feeling ya brother 👍
48 here and I'm with ya. Old school metal lives on
@@ritarucker8320 we stand with you and your friends. Metal lives forever
I'm 57 and was hooked on them as soon as they came out with British Steel. I've always thought their stage performances were stellar, but what's going on with the winter coats on Rob Halford? Why do I keep seeing these concerts with him wearing these long sleeved heavy coats?
Holy Sh*t, what a kickassversion!, goodbye DJ's, Goodbye Influencers, goodbye fake modern world, these old men rule the world now! >
Now? For some they've been ruling it since the 70's.
Before Now and Always. New snowflakes are just bunch of pussies! 99% plus, just like COVID survival!
Now? They never quit to rule the world❣🤟😁
Always have , you just woke to the power of PRIEST !
@@Mrbignutzful the power of PRIEST compells you
OMG Judas Priest. Your music brings happiness to this rotten world.
@Spectrum of Eternity Official why would you link that piece of garbage.
Oh yes !!! Thats right ! 🤘
Nosferatu drinks Joan Baez.
Amen. When this came on, my eyes welled up. Menopause is AWESOME 😂😢🤪
We are not alone in this shit society...we have priest maiden Metallica nirvana nevermore voivod overkill manowar....................,.
Damn I love this band. My fav band since I was 13 and I’m 54 now. I know one day they will perform their last concert. They are truly LEGENDS!
i am 53
+1
If you will leave that long to see them play the last show 😂
Same bro. 13 to 54. 🤘
Me too.
I want to cry. This performance is pure magic.
I agree... crying now!🤘
Same!
I'm with ya men, we all cryin'...
It caught be by surprise too. Crying tears of Metal
And I wanna chock the idiot who commented that the world does not like UK any longer
This version allows Rob to show off every part of his voice while improvising so much emotion. From his breath singing, to his head voice and vibrato to everything else in his repertoire. It's a truly masterful performance. \w/
Magistral.
Es el rey del heavy metal. Su voz y sonido no es comparable con nadie.
come on bro, this version stinks ass.
I still believe that Tokyo was there best performance especially for this song
It's always a pleasure to see Richie having so much fun on stage.
Every clip I see of him, he seems to be having the time of his life playing with Judas Priest. And who could blame him?
He's really been a great replacement for K.K.
He's got a lot of passion.....
KK was awesome but this kid has injected lots of energy and great vibes to Judas Priest.
Just imagine being In a band uve watched all.your life and all of a sudden your up there with them..that's what I like about richie..he honors it and does it justice...lots of us would kill to be in that spot
Gives me chills every time.. There are no words to describe the feelings!
no other band can go for a nostalgic to a bad ass tune!!!
Judas Til I Die!!!🤟
The original is also very good
Goose bumps and tears in my eyes
Rob is a monster on this show. It is astonishing really.
Jesus, Halford's still got it!!
The only metal god
I think he is like wine....
Halford is GOD
@@rdtli thought that was Lemmy?
@@HachimanMVP both!!! like in ancient Egypt ...there were a lot of Gods!!! lol !!!!! cheers!!!!

Geoff tate
What a drummer. Bloody brilliant 🤘🤘
Yes! Scott Trevis the best drummer
Scott grew up in Norfolk. So did I. He used to jam in a friend's garage around the corner from my house. Kick-ass drummer and a cool dude.
@@terrydean2400 it's Travis not Trevis. Just a typo I'm sure. Keep bangin' that head brother.
aivan mahtava loistavasti revitelty dikannu judaspriestiä jo 90 luvun alusta loistava ja hino ja yks minun suosikki pändi
Honestly the best version of a beautifully written song
J Baez much meaningful
Me, personally, I have never heard a better cover song than this. I've listened to the original, it's a great song, mellow, classic rock, folky feel, a great song. Then Priest made it heavy metal with the original. Then made it into a "breather" of a song during live shows with slower version. Then added two and two, thank god, and made this masterpiece of a version.
I listened to this numerous times with my eyes closed completely focused on every note, every lyrics and every hit of the drum. When that drum fill kicks in continuous goosebumps commence and when the crowd takes over you're simply on another level of existence.
There is one better cover. Done by the same band - Judas Priest. From the tour with Tim Owens on the vocals.
They cut a few of the verses out from the original Joan BAez song.
Love the drummer occupying himself with the drums sticks during the first half, what an entertainer. This is a superb cover.
I wouldnt call the original mellow classic rock with a folky feel. It' s a folk song
Damn, Rob really sung his heart out here. Brilliant performance.
I shall NEVER tire of this.
Pure energy, long life to the Priest.
3:48 A masterful change of rhythm never listened to in other past versions.
Horns Up, Metal Gods!
Seriously kicks ass 🤘
\m/
I think it is their best interpretation as it contains both the slow, aqustic balladic part and that ass-kicking metal one :) Can't wait to hear them in 2021 :)
this shit kills me! listened to this part at least 30 times. :-) it has so much drive....love it!
Eargasm i swear
Judas Priest forever🤘
Music like this is never gonna be made again 😔 Thx for being a part of this 🤘
Travis is a legendary drummer!
He saved Judas Priest back in 1990.
His drumming appears simple, but he grooves like hell! That‘s real mastery 👍🏻
Check him out with RacerX
@@raygonzalez8254 How so? I guess I don't know the story. That was right around Painkiller, right?
@@endtimeimages3284 Yes, some people don't get it. Travis has the natural reflexes and syncopation to drive the Priest sound along with Ian Hill the Bassist. Great stuff
how after all this time he still can sing like that. god damn legend
Man Halford sings with so much emotion I love it.
Rob's vocal control and range on full display! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
If Judas Priest played out in the rain 🌧 they might rust because they are the greatest metal band ever. Rob Halford is the king of metal vocals.
Amen!
Damm he's the only one left from the 80's still doing gigs who still has his voice.
Dickinson?
Really? GLENN HUGHES, 71 years old and sounding better than ever... give the Dead Daisies latest album a listen. Glenn is also a fellow YAM YAM like Rob Halford and myself
@@lebreton9505 Comparing Glenn Hughs to " Metal God Halford" ?
Did you seriously just do that?
@@12StringHWY IMHO hughes is the better all round singer
@@lebreton9505 Maybe in Sanfrancisco. In metal world he is nothing.
excellent vocal performance from Rob.
His voice hasn't changed in all these years and it's just a joy to listen to him.
Thank you Judas Priest🎸🎸🎸
Oh, God! Metal Gods! Thank you for such a powerful performance!
That bass line when Ian Hill comes in is just gorgeous.
Thanks. The bass player just doesn't get any credit.
He's the most underrated bass player in metal
And his tone is pure eargasm.
Ian "Mountain" not Hill...
Love Ian Hill! Warrior bass line forever!
This live version is excellent. The clean intro sounds a bit more like the original, which is absolutely beautiful. Imagine Rob and Joan singing as a duet. How incredible that would be!
I just keep coming back to this every day. That transformation at 3:50 is mind-blowing.
There are like 5 or 6 or even more versions of this song and I always wondered how Judas Priest was able to create so many great versions of the same song??? Every one is just great. This is the coolest thing you could ever listen to /,, /
What a performance! Goose bumps all over my body.
This is my favorite live version of this song....
This is their best version ever!! The slow melodic build to the metal fury!!!
One of the best shows of my life. Priest absolute metal Gods. Rob has to be one of the best metal voices ever, what a frontman. Still killing it today! 😎🤘🤘
Always amazed how robs vocals are still awesome after all these years.
On songs like these without the high notes he's awesome.
Yea, it´s unbelievable
Man the torture his vocals have gone thru in 40 plus years, It’s amazing he can talk. Blown away he sings now at this level
The one and only…
I always thought nothing beats those years when all these great songs of great bands came out! This nails it once more! Incredible!!!
This performance when I'm not at my best kills me and the last part that changes, fills my soul with beautiful feelings. Thank you Judas, Thank you Rob!
God you just have to love the life that Richie has breathed into this band. Stepping into KK's shoes would send most wannabe's packing, but he not only has done it with consumate ease, he's added so much to the live shows. I'm 53, sitting in my home office writing with the sun shining in, and just had to turn this right up and bang my head. Fucking timeless. British steel was what we used to wake up to at boarding school back in 83...never figured I'd be still be listening to them 40 years later. That's the thing you have to love about metal: styles and trends are fleeting.... todays 'music' is more about the video than the talent and whats hot today is forgotten tomorrow, as are their fans....yet metal and metal fans stay the course. At 13 I was told it was a 'phase' I was going through. Thank you metal...best 40 year phase ever.
I cannot believe these guys are not in the Rock and Roll hall of fame,,,,, could not be better,, best of the best
I've listened to multiple versions of this song by Priest, for me, this one is by far the best. Simply incredible performance.
I've been a huge fan of Priest over 40 yrs. Now Trail by fire is just Awesome !
No words in the world can say how good this is stunning
Don’t let this music die!!!! It’s to beautiful.
WHAT A PERFORMANCE!!
He nails down this song greatly!!! Finally, who doesn't have diamonds and rust in memories...
By far the best version of the priest versions!
Que voz Halford! Eternamente agradecido por llegar a mis oídos
Igual ahora ya no le da tanto, pero si, tuvo (diría yo) una muy buena voz
Vida eterna para estos monstruos del heavy .
Long live Russia - Ukraine must submit to its elder brother! America and Europe - get out!
The metall gods performing a great folksong amazing
@@PRETICH-2005 Simó n...!

So good! Band is tight as hell and Rob's voice is f'n unreal!
One if the greatest Judas Priest moments!
Por canciones como esta,me gusta el heavy metal.Long Live Judas Priest !!!!!!!
A favourite Priest song , but this version gives me the goosebumps... !
Awesome...!!!
Me too @goosebumps
The best live version in my opinion.. that change from melodic to heavy is so well executed.. and Rob Halford delivers his best, his face at 3:53 is priceless.. like he knows he is about to give the most powerful voice to a ballad
Totalmente de acuerdo con tigo los"PRIEST"son los mejores
His face is like “alright, let’s fuck this joint up”
Jesus…..when it kicks back to the original heavy version 😮
For sure, the best version of the song, in my opinion
I missed KK but loved how they combined the acoustic and metal version! Great voice as usual Roberto! And yes I'm nostalgic..
Unleashed version is better
I couldn't agree more my friend.
They have so many and I know of at least 3 amazing ones, this is one of those.
The Dad Joke Guy the Rising in the East is the best one imo
He’s got such a strong voice Bless him he’s pretty fantastic thank you guys for making our lives a little bit more enjoyable
Te BEST 1 minute of heavy metal of all time
I'm just listening to this song now and it seems to me like the first time... I really love Judas Priest!!!🤘
To anyone who's never heard Priest, you dont know what pure sonic pleasure their music brings to the worlds ears ....Priest Maiden,Saxon ,Triumph and Motorhead forever 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Look at the drummer! He is a real circus performer!
This Version is awesome. One of the best songs I've ever heard.
This video perfectly represents why I viscerally love Judas Priest. My love for them is as pure as a dog's love for its owner.
Judas is best heavy metal band
Sings a lot! What voice. Love love🔥🤘
Best band Ever.
Halford killing it!
The fact Rob can still sing like this, he is uncomparrable to most of the best singers ever, none have not just, his longevity, but absolute quality is unmatched.
The God of all voices
Golden times of raising of metal.
Words won't do justice to this version, wow!
The best singer ever
Unbelievable ..these guys go way back
Thank you for the awesome upload! So glad that JP is still going strong after all these years.
The best way to begin the day and the week! 🇧🇷
Best version I've ever seen. 😍
Travis just goin off back there!
This is a classy man. Even his speaking voice is beautiful. The Priest! I've heard other songs by Judas Priest, but not this one. When he sings "Now I see you standing with brown leaves all around and snow in your hair" the notes are just magnificent. I don't know how I missed it, it is gorgeous.
Judas Priest # 1 of all the history of Heavy Metal, Rob Halford # 1 of all the history of Heavy Metal.
Yes Yes Yes you are correct
Damn Rob really does sing this from the heart
Judas Priest is a masterpiece multiplier.
My favourite song from this concert.

Similar time span for me. im loving that galloping chorus.

This song makes me cry metal tears
A performance that when you are riding on your 40s, you are so proud while listening this with your children!!
A Judas Priest ballad turns in to metal magic that is why Judas Priest are Metal Gods🤘👍🎤🤘🥁
Probably the best interpretation of a song I have heard in 57 years, confirming why I love JP so much
What a voice
Rob is truly THE METAL GOD ! Still superb voice and interpretation .
Best ,,MetalCover,, ever done ! ! Evry version of JPs Diamonds absolutely ROCKS ! !
Been listening to this song for 52 years and had no idea it was a cover. Great tune. ✌️
This is the best version of the song. Mixing the acoustic ballad of Rising in the East with a modern interpretation of their original cover. It sounds amazing live too. I went to the Epitaph tour and they played it like this. Crowd went nuts.
