i've watched this at least 20 times, her stage presence is so powerful, from her interactions with the band, her little facial expressions, and those live vocals- my god. this is one of my favorite performances ever, jenny is a blessing to the music world
She's incredible. She was a child actor so I expected some playing to the camera, but she blew it out of the water. She was pretty much directing the cameramen, I loved when she pointed out the drummer. Rabbit Fur Coat is my fav, anything besides Under the Blacklight with Rilo Kiley and solo albums are ace.

What weird times we live in. If a woman had tried to hit on a guy outside a bar, and the guy hit her, the guy would be in jail. And rightfully so. So when did it become OK for women to hit guys who come on to them? What sort of world do we live in where guys coming on to girls is a crime?
Violence is always wrong. You shouldn't hit a woman, yes, but you shouldn't hit a man either. That whole 'you never hit a woman' thing has been taught to boys for a long time though. That double standard is nothing new.

And if you like singers with rough voices like Janis Joplin you should surely check out Lucinda Williams. She isn't mainstream though. But I doubt if Janis Joplin would have maintained the mainstream succes she had in the sixties if she had lived today!
