‘Children Liable To Suicide If They Don’t Take The Drugs’ Cass Review Unveils ‘Shaky’ Gender Care

  • A major review has revealed that there is 'remarkably weak evidence' to support gender treatments for children.
Dr Hilary Cass, who chaired the Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for children and young people, said the pillars of gender medicine are “built on shaky foundations,” as evidence was found to be severely lacking on the impacts of puberty blockers and hormone treatments.
Dr Cass also urged that healthcare for people questioning their gender “needs to be improved across the board,” stating that there is a distinction between having a trans identity and medically transitioning.
Dr Cass added: “Many people with gender-diverse identities don’t want to go down a medical pathway” but will still be in need of support.
The review lays out 32 recommendations on how to ensure youngsters who are confused about their gender get a standard of care that is “safe, holistic and effective”.
TalkTV’s Kevin O’Sullivan and Alex Phillips are joined by NHS GP Dr Louise Irvine and LGB Alliance chair Kate Barker to discuss the findings.

The whistle blowers should be compensated for the stress they went through. Never mind the compensation due to the young peoples whose lives have been destroyed and their families who were pressurised by propaganda from various organisations, medical "professionals" and social workers.
And the BBC's part in this should be investigated. They should ashamed!!!

When I was a young girl and teenager I didn’t want to be a girl. I didn’t want period, kids, breasts and the idea of sex was terrifying to me. I thought I was ugly and to have more things would make me uglier. I know I would have been a good target. On top I wasn’t interested in boys until I was 17 and this was definitely considered unusual (when a school friend was pregnant at 16). It wasn’t until I turned 19 that I accepted myself for who I was and tried to love being a woman. I have 2 kids and I adore them. I’d always say to them “it takes time to find who you are and to accept yourself”. Mutilating children is not the way and is barbaric. If I had someone to talk to (not my parents because they didn’t feel comfortable about this topic) I don’t think I would have hated myself so much and struggled as a kid. I am so sorry for these children not getting help and just being told it will all get better with drugs and mutilation.

💯 Feel I've seen similar stories to this countless times, it seems quite a common experience that we adults may have had as youngsters. It is a sad state of affairs that instead o explaining better to the adolescents, that this is indeed normal, and though they may find it hard now, it will get better and you will find yourself, its straight to the drugs cabinet. 4 out of 5 young people who are struggling in this way get past it by going through the natural process of puberty; basically it is the "cure" for this state of being and mind. For the 1 out of 5 I am sure that there must be a way to help them as well, to continue with counselling and exploring all options but to treat all in the same way is illogical and as has been known for a while but is now public thanks to Cass, is causing great harms to an entire generation. Very sad but hopefully now it is in the open it will cease.

Wait a second, just because a girl wants to be masculine doesn’t mean she is lesbian, same with a boy being feminine not absolutely being gay. I was a tomboy, grew up in rural USA and enjoyed being outside, climbing trees, etc. I am and always have been heterosexual. The boys just seemed to do more fun things and I wanted to do those things. I only mention this because telling a kid that they aren’t trans is needed, but don’t reinforce a sexual preference upon them while doing that.

    • @hotdog1214
      @hotdog1214 5 месяцев назад

That's true. However one of the whistle-blowers at the Tavistock clinic revealed that up to 90% of the teens that were referred had indicated they were struggling with their sexuality, that they were experiencing same sex attraction and they either were confused (as is normal) or because of family / social environments had been taught that is was dirty or wrong to be gay. Some parents were quoted as having said they took their child to the clinic because they "didn't want a gay son and would prefer a straight daughter" - in their minds they saw it as some sort of correction for gayness. The staff even had a dark joke "at the rate we are going, there will be no gay people left".
In general, absolutely, a tomboy or femboy, or having likes that are stereotypically associated with the opposite sex, doesn't necessarily correlate to being gay in adult life, but in this clinic it overwhelmingly was - the rest was down to underlying mental health conditions.
I agree with your sentiment, don't tell them they are trans, don't tell them they are anything but just help them if they are struggling or confused to explain that what they feel is normal and whether they grow up to be gay, straight or whatever, they will come to it own their own as every human being before them has done.

Who is funding them to the point where they could pay for their campaign to infiltrate every school in the country. Who were there henchmen that bullied and threatened any proffessional who raised concerns. And the biggest question of all, why were they so desperate and rampant to push this reckless treatment on children. Their hatred for children is of the scale.

My mother used the expression, ‘little piggies have big ears’. If she had something private to say , she said it privately to my father, or whichever adult was in the conversation. Children now are exposed to tv shows, early soaps reference the situation. TV are on so much of the time. Internet, gossip, bullying. Not that these haven’t been going on for many years. If a conversation was to be had with a child it was said in language we could understand. All this puberty blockers, surgery and hormone treatment seems to have run before it could walk. Where is ‘evidence based practice’, which is what 47 years of NHS nursing had drummed into me.where’s are the studies, the evidence, the consequences published. This needs proper exposure. Confronting properly. Thankfully now we have Dr. Cass’s report we should look at it and listen to her. During my career, I managed care of 2 adults, in there 60’s who had sex change management years ago. One drank himself to death, wanting to go ‘back’ within a few years of having change done. The other lived a miserable isolated life. Very difficult to see ‘used’ people.

Totally agree with remarks by Kate Barker. Gender expression is a wide spectrum. You can be a masculine female or an effeminate male. There's no need to take life-changing drugs or undergo permanent bodily mutilation in response to that. For a population so concerned about binary and non-binary, it's ironic how they funnel kids into a gender binary based on the wide spectrum of gender expression.

Sex on the other hand is a biological reality and its determination is the same as for any other mammal.

A person who secretly stops eating or purges and loses weight, and receives all kinds of praise for how good they look, their minds can be easily tricked into continuing the process to the detriment of their health.
The same seems to be true with people, children and young adults, who receive all kinds of support for questioning, and/or are told by a friends that "I've always felt that about you" can easily be convinced to transition and then they start the process, and receive even more praise. And more praise from professionals.
    We all want praise!
Children learn through positive reinforcement. On the job, a worker receiving praise can spur great work and advancement, BUT, praise, though we'll intentioned, that leads toward self destruction is what we are fighting, and IMO, is the biggest roadblock that gender affirmation supporters cannot or will not see or accept.
This is NOT a single diagnosis. This is also a spectrum of disorders. Is she a tomboy or a boy; Is he effeminate or a girl. Dies he like lace? Is he gay? Maybe she... and so it goes. Now we have a Hollywood bandwagon - and parents are scared.

Mama Cass made this John Hopkins a thousand times over with disregard for the patients who do actually benefit. Why the broad brush (all bad, all good)? That method is not responsible without a recommendation of what to do with the people who are already in the pipeline. When John Hopkins closed in 1979 there was politics, religion, and a change of personnel in management that made that shift. We unfortunately need maintenance meds and now will be pushed to the black market and hustlers. Women are still socialized to be "nice" and accepting and mothering. And once they accept the message that affirmation is the only acceptable way to respond to claims of self-ID transgenderism, they take on the mama bear role to "protect their cubs". That's why it seems like women are playing into the whole scheme. The only way to get back to common sense is to show these women that there are many ways to be kind while also not advocating for harmful bodily mutilation for children. As for adults who decide to transition, let them do what they want, but they should also pay for it.
