I just bought the Nama2 Juicer. I previously owned a Breville. The Breville made me not want to juice. It was loud. It didn’t completely chopped the veggies and fruits and it was a nightmare to clean! A nightmare. Today I used the Nama for the first time. Once I figured out how to work it properly (I didn’t have it assembled correctly) it was a dream! A DREAM!!! It was quiet! It cleaned easily and all of the ingredients were used. This was pricey, but well worth it!!!!!
I’m coming from a Breville as well and I also share a lot of the pain points you shared. So much of my produce was wasted in the form of pulp which pained me every time. I didn’t mind the noise, and as much as the juice quality and consistency weren’t terrible, when comparing it to what I see the Nama is able to produce, it’s night and day. I am so impressed with this juicer. It took me 15 mins to juice and clean, love it. I panicked at first as the Juicer won't turn on out of the box, later I noticed that the parts were not aligned properly to function.
Thanx for this. Mine isn’t starting and I am so frustrated. It’s 11pm here and I’ve got all my fruits and veggies ready and have spent the last :30 on checking videos and the 3 different outlets! Im going to disassemble again and, hopefully, I will get it right so I can move this food prep along!
I got my Nama J2 this weekend and it's been great since. I was worried cleaning would be an issue, but found it didn't take long at all. I have used both pineapples and Celery and didn't find it hard to clean. Carrots required maybe an additional 2-3 minutes to clean out but was easy using the included brush with its various ends to use. It is also a very sturdy workhorse of a machine. The videos made it seem a bit plastic but it's solid. It will not run unless the parts are assembled correctly, which is a great safety feature. And it stops when the top is opened so little fingers are safe. I can't wait to find/try more types of juices!
@@slickwilly6868 Hello, the foam that occurs is due to the reaction of insoluble fiber with the oxygen and is very normal. Feel free to give it a stir and it should get rid of some of the foam. You can also strain the juice once to remove some of the foam. 🙂
I'm curious...when you juice citrus (orange, pineapple, grapefruit), does the pulp eventually backup from the auger back up into the hopper? Mine does, and when it does the pulp stops being ejected from the chamber and the juice flow slows down to just drops. I've heard soft fruits can be problematic in this way.
I just got mine and I love it. I have the omega j843 and it juices circles around it. I finished so fast I was standing there thinking what can I juice next..
This juicer is definitely the best one I've had, and I've had several different types of juicers (both masticating and centrifugal) over the years. With that said, I've had mine for about a month and a half now, and the only problem I'm having (this just started in the last week) is fitting the auger into the strainer. It can take me a good 5 minutes (or longer) just trying to get it to fit right. Sometimes I think it fits, only to assemble the rest of the juicer, and when I go to turn the juicer on, it won't start, indicating something is not assembled properly (the auger). I don't know what the problem is...nothing is broken, it just doesn't fit into the strainer easily anymore. I've only seen one other video on youtube where someone has this problem, but no solutions are offered. As much as I love this juicer, I will have to echo the sentiments of the other youtuber who has had a problem with this...this should not be occurring with a juicer that costs this much. Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought about getting new parts, but I just got this juicer not even 2 months ago; plus, the parts I'm having trouble with aren't even broken, so it seems like that would be a waste of money.

Joy, thank you! I'm having exactly the same problem. Have to jiggle and turn the auger, sometimes for a couple of minutes to get it to drop all the way down. Didn't do this at first, now it does and its aggravating. Eventually it drops all the way down, but I can't figure out why it'll drop and sometimes doesn't. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

The blade is what makes this thing superior to competitors. Actually slices large produce and drags it down into the chamber. It means you are rarely babysitting this thing....just fill it , and walk away.

Do these clog at all with celery and fiberless stuff? I have the Breville one similar to this. But I have to nonstop pull it apart and clean the thing to get it to spit out the juiced stuff??

To offset any potential clogging with fibrous produce such as celery, we find that cutting the celery into smaller pieces (2-3 inches) and then alternating it with other produce yields the best results. Denser fiber from the other produce helps nudge the stringy fibers out of the pulp exit and helps minimize potential clogging. We also offer a layering guide on our website! Hi there, this can occasionally occur due to the powerful strength of the motor. We recommend putting the juicer in reverse every time you disassemble. In this case, we’d suggest running some warm water through and alternating between forward and reverse. The torque can cause a pressure build up which can make parts stick. Reversing & warm water usually breaks the suction seal. Also, ensure all components are properly cleaned and assembled correctly or else it may cause the chamber to get stuck on the base. @@Namawell Thanks. Tried all of this but even when all cleaned and done correctly as you suggest the auger is an interference fit and is just plain stuck before it even goes together in the juicer. It wasn’t like this when first used just a few months ago. It dropped in and was removed effortlessly. It’s almost as if the auger has swollen. Right now the unit is unusable. In operation there is heavy squeaking. Not good for such an expensive item.

The fine-mesh strainer has smaller holes, while the smoothie strainer has larger holes to allow more pulp into your juice. See, everything looks good, but I think you guys aren't being 100% realistic w/ cleaning (which is basically everybody's nightmare). Nobody talks about the turmeric stains that are extremely difficult to clean once it has spent time circulating around the auger. I really do hope the clogging issues have been rectified. Clogged wheatgrass, cucumber, celery and pineapple sorta made me stop juicing all together. Now, I like this brand, but it's the "everything is just a walk in the park" marketing that concerns me. I'm no stranger to juicing and I know all of the pros & cons. I think y'all need to be a bit more honest and realistic. I'm just gon bite the bullet and purchase this new model. Fingers crossed...
The people complaining about how difficult this unit is to clean must have some type of disability because it truly looks to be no more difficult to clean then any other juice I've owned. Seems you really can't make all the people happy all the time.

so the brush and scraper I saw comes with the Nama J2 as well? Sponge too or just for display? I know some models update certain tools as well meaning the first release may NOT have listed tools then a second model WILL have the tools for SOME products. Just asking.
Hello! The white sponge and cream colored brush that you see on the counter near the sink are just for display, but both of our models do come with the gray brush to use to clean. I got mine today and no juice container, no pulp container and part of the reason I got it was because they looked so handy. It’s not as though this is cheap. Plus a nightmare to clean and reassemble - which is why I’m here to try and figure out how to put it all back together because it is not intuitive and the guide is short on detail.

What about sorbets? I just ordered mine. But I feel a bit sad that there is no sorbet option. Don't want to have to keep 2 juices since I have the vitality as well.

@@cindywarhurst8984 You can make sorbets in the J1 but not currently for the J2. We do not suggest putting frozen fruit into the J2 with the juice or smoothie strainer as it can damage the juicer. However, you can fully defrost the frozen fruit and then use it.

The rocking is normal as the base is not secured to the chamber. The stronger torque on our machine will cause minor rocking, and that is perfectly normal. The stronger torque in our machine allows you to juice hard and fibrous produce.
Harder to clean than my faithful Omega J8006. Also, the Nama website shows 19 positive reviews for the Nama J2 juicer (at the time of this writing), but they are comments that have been added twice to bulk up the positive reviews. Shady. If it's such a good juicer, why do this?
Trust me it'd a great machine and very easy to clean. Much easier than my Omega. Adding all ingredients in hopper at once is genius and faster juicing process. I can't keep up with machine when I try batch processing. This machine eliminated the constant clean up process when batch juicing. When batch juicing with omega, nama vitality, and breville, I constantly had to clean machine.

I ordered for the ease of opening the top and juicing. There is no thing as perfection for anything...so I'm willing to give this a try

As much as I love this juicer, I will have to echo the sentiments of the other youtuber who has had a problem with this...this should not be occurring with a juicer that costs this much. Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought about getting new parts, but I just got this juicer not even 2 months ago; plus, the parts I'm having trouble with aren't even broken, so it seems like that would be a waste of money.

Joy, thank you! I'm having exactly the same problem. Have to jiggle and turn the auger, sometimes for a couple of minutes to get it to drop all the way down. Didn't do this at first, now it does and its aggravating. Eventually it drops all the way down, but I can't figure out why it'll drop and sometimes doesn't. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

Do these clog at all with celery and fiberless stuff? I have the Breville one similar to this. But I have to nonstop pull it apart and clean the thing to get it to spit out the juiced stuff??
Hi! Our juicers are great with all kinds of produce. To offset any potential clogging with fibrous produce such as celery, we find that cutting the celery into smaller pieces (2-3 inches) and then alternating it with other produce yields the best results. Denser fiber from the other produce helps nudge the stringy fibers out of the pulp exit and helps minimize potential clogging. We also offer a layering guide on our website! Should the auger be such a tight fit? Mine takes brute force and wiggling several times to remove from the strainer.
Hi there, this can occasionally occur due to the powerful strength of the motor. We recommend putting the juicer in reverse every time you disassemble. In this case, we’d suggest running some warm water through and alternating between forward and reverse. The torque can cause a pressure build up which can make parts stick. Reversing & warm water usually breaks the suction seal. Also, ensure all components are properly cleaned and assembled correctly or else it may cause the chamber to get stuck on the base. @@Namawell Thanks. Tried all of this but even when all cleaned and done correctly as you suggest the auger is an interference fit and is just plain stuck before it even goes together in the juicer. It wasn’t like this when first used just a few months ago. It dropped in and was removed effortlessly. It’s almost as if the auger has swollen.
Right now the unit is unusable. In operation there is heavy squeaking. Not good for such an expensive item.

The fine-mesh strainer has smaller holes, while the smoothie strainer has larger holes to allow more pulp into your juice. See, everything looks good, but I think you guys aren't being 100% realistic w/ cleaning (which is basically everybody's nightmare). Nobody talks about the turmeric stains that are extremely difficult to clean once it has spent time circulating around the auger. I really do hope the clogging issues have been rectified. Clogged wheatgrass, cucumber, celery and pineapple sorta made me stop juicing all together. Now, I like this brand, but it's the "everything is just a walk in the park" marketing that concerns me. I'm no stranger to juicing and I know all of the pros & cons. I think y'all need to be a bit more honest and realistic. I'm just gon bite the bullet and purchase this new model. Fingers crossed...

The people complaining about how difficult this unit is to clean must have some type of disability because it truly looks to be no more difficult to clean then any other juice I've owned. Seems you really can't make all the people happy all the time.

I can tell by looking at the video that it’s not easy to clean. Juicing soft items and a small amount is easy to clean up after.

1. Place the auger on the drive shaft of the chamber (without strainer or spinning brush) and rotate clockwise 2 or 3 times
2. Reassemble your juicer, put the pulp lever in the half-open position, and reverse your juicer for 20 seconds

so the brush and scraper I saw comes with the Nama J2 as well? Sponge too or just for display? I know some models update certain tools as well meaning the first release may NOT have listed tools then a second model WILL have the tools for SOME products. Just asking.
Hello! The white sponge and cream colored brush that you see on the counter near the sink are just for display, but both of our models do come with the gray brush to use to clean. The other side of that brush allows you to get into the smaller crevices of the juicer as well. Hope this helps, and let us know if you have any other questions!
I got mine today and no juice container, no pulp container and part of the reason I got it was because they looked so handy. It’s not as though this is cheap. Plus a nightmare to clean and reassemble - which is why I’m here to try and figure out how to put it all back together because it is not intuitive and the guide is short on detail.

What about sorbets? I just ordered mine. But I feel a bit sad that there is no sorbet option. Don't want to have to keep 2 juices since I have the vitality as well.

Just bought mine a week ago. Mine sways a little when on,and has a squeaky sound to it,just curious if that is normal?
The rocking is normal as the base is not secured to the chamber. The stronger torque on our machine will cause minor rocking, and that is perfectly normal. The stronger torque in our machine allows you to juice hard and fibrous produce.

Harder to clean than my faithful Omega J8006. Also, the Nama website shows 19 positive reviews for the Nama J2 juicer (at the time of this writing), but they are comments that have been added twice to bulk up the positive reviews. Shady. If it's such a good juicer, why do this?
Trust me it'd a great machine and very easy to clean. Much easier than my Omega. Adding all ingredients in hopper at once is genius and faster juicing process. I can't keep up with machine when I try batch processing. This machine eliminated the constant clean up process when batch juicing. When batch juicing with omega, nama vitality, and breville, I constantly had to clean machine.
I agree. I have an old Omega and was thinking of buying this one but after seeing this video i've changed my mind. Way too much effort to clean it.
