I'm giving out a cupcake emote for the first person to find when I let the f-bomb slip in this edit! The emotions were high this episode as we see the final showdown between Jinx and Powder. This whole season was a rollercoaster, but this episode was an amazing endcap to all of it. We can all suffer together, waiting for S2, but for now I'm enjoying our League lore dive!
Definitely check out League's champion Ekko teaser animation "Seconds". Definitely ties into Arcane, as one of the animations that predate it, and can give a teaser of who Ekko is and what he'll become.
I didn't take it as Jinx defending Vi or choosing. I thought it was just a reaction and she fired towards the sound of shot instinctively. Could be wrong, there so many ways you can take things in this show.
You are 100% right, when Silco was yelling, “don’t listen to her”, he wasn’t trying to manipulate Jinx or anything nefarious, but rather he understood that in Vi’s attempt to get Powder to snap out of being Jinx all Vi was doing was triggering Jinx’s trauma. Most people don’t clock that.
fr. I think that´s the main reason Jinx herself says she thought she and Vi could make it work. Because the reality of it is that Vi telling Jinx to remember the exact same people that as been causing her traumas and haunting her for a long time meant they just couldnt get along anymore even if they wanted
@ Mylo and Clagger represent very different things the Vi and Jinx. To Vi, Mylo and Clagger were little brothers she loved. Mylo was a bit bratty and she didn’t like how he treated Powder but she could tell he had a good heart and she believed in him. To Jinx, Mylo was her biggest detractor, her bully, her voice of doubt. To Jinx, Clagger seemed like a decent brotherly figure (from what little we saw) which means he is another symbol of her guilt for causing his death.
@@templeofdoom8629 i was hyped before it even came out since animation from riot was always fire, but then i had to spend obsessed 3 years, just waiting
This line is so much more than just being a bad ass line. In the earlier episode when Silco is "baptising" Jinx, he says that 'Jinx is perfect'. Now in this episodes he says, 'You are perfect.' It says so much with only 3 words.
@@MeeshDeeReactsSilco and Vander are the some paralera to Powder and Vi. One was mind and Second was strength. They have a confrict. The power one attack/nearly killed the weaker one. And then the weacker one have mental breakdowm and use his mind to be better and powerfull.

The fact that I actually thought that Jinx decapitated Caitlin....... That was the writers flexing. They could deadass make me fall in love with a rock, for all I know.
@@Dark__Thoughts Yeah, glad someone pointed this out. I think it was Schnee that made a video about that scene and brought this up. It wasn't just Jinx messing around; she was testing Vi. (She's also still pretty crazy)
@@adowens0004 No idea who that is. To me, Jinx is Powder's way of coping. After looking sad she says that line, and has this goofy stare into the distance, followed by making fun of herself. Jinx is her way to disassociate herself from all the negative feelings, since Powder cannot handle them. It's sad because Jinx is also causing a lot of those feelings by all the gruesome shit that she does, which buries Powder deeper and deeper under this heavy burden of her sins. It's a vicious cycle. Her whole story is just really tragic and sad, but also what makes her my favorite character of the show.
I think Silco was partly right in the final scene. Vi doesn't love Jinx, she loves Powder. She would be horrified to know the things Jinx has done, and in the scene she showed she's not able to control Jinx's outbursts. Vi starts to remind Jinx of her past trauma thinking it would help, because she remembers her family in a good way. This only increments Jinx's anxiety. Silco sees this clearly. "Shut up! (To Vi) Don't listen to her! (to Jinx)". He's been living with Jinx for years and he clearly knows what triggers her attacks. When calling out doesn't work, he tries to force his way out of the rope. Only then does he grab the gun and points at Vi. Silco would've killed Vi, obviously, and that's clearly not the right answer. But he's shown what kind of person he is throughout the series, and killing someone to protect Jinx would be nothing new to him. As the editor pointed out, Jinx didn't shoot AT Silco. She sprayed the entire left side of the room because she heard the clicking of the gun and instinctively fired. She didn't know it was Silco, and she wasn't trying to protect Vi either. In the end, it all went down the worst way possible for all of them.
Yeah, even tho Silco is a bad person clearly, he is still a real one, and even in his death he was still loyal to Jinx, which cant be said about Vi. Characters in this shows are amazing and not one dementional (most of them), "bad" guys have redeeming qualities while good ones have some dirt on them as well.
Yes, many people misinterpret this. If it was Violet who was holding the gun while Jinx was shut down and overwhelmed, she would have clearly been the one who was shot. Jinx is just experiencing another tragedy.
Right? Vi doesn't know Jinx, so she ends up triggering Jinx's trauma all over again, but it's the way she doesn't really seem interested in getting to know her that pisses me off. Her whole goal is to get Powder back, but not once does she try to understand Jinx's agency in the way her life went, and just blames everything on Silco. I'm sure she loves her someway, but she doesn't know who she's trying to love, she only loves who she thinks she knows. Obviously excited for the sequel, but get me a prequel series with Jinx growing up with Silco!
As someone with a terminal disease, Viktor resonates with me so much. I adore him. I hardly cared about him in League or knew much about him. But Arcane made him my favorite character.
Love how you pointed out the slow-burn development with Caitlyn and Vi. Too often in media, same-sex relationships are either unnaturally shoved in as token representation or remain eternally buried in subtext, which does not seem to be where Arcane is taking it
@@nikkimiddlekillsday5161Way better 💀 Nick was scared to really put it out there so it was way worse Arcane on the other hand isn’t scared of LGBTQ relationships, and make them feel as organic as any other relationship
I really love it when reactors actually get Silco and don't just write him off as ONLY manipulating Jinx, like if the characters were that 1 dimensional this show would've sucked it feels so clear that there's depth to all of these characters and it's both shown AND expressed but some people refuse to see it 😅😅 great reaction guys
It's typical for people to do that with anyone you're "not supposed to" root for. It happens frequently with Marcus, too, but enough people have come around to understand his position enough to do him the justice his character was written to deserve.
@@transmatized Oh so I guess he's a bad character then? It's a bad show then? Not sure what your point is here. Are you saying he IS a 1 dimensional simplistic boring villain?
Now imagine hitting that credit roll and waiting since end of 2021. I didn't even know reaction channels where a thing until my Arcane withdrawal kicked in.
Wait i just realized something. In the show vi says powders good with her gadgets which are technology. And vi gift is fighting which is her physical strength. Vi is pink and jinx is blue. When vi gets hextech golves which are technology jinx gets shemer which inhances you're physical skills. Hextech is blue shemer is pink. A little bit of powder exist in vi and little bit of vi exists in power. Like yin and yang. Also vi wearing the hextech can remind vi how powder used to be and shemer can mean powder finally became strong like her hero.😊
Also another good bit of symbolism is both of their tattoos Vi has gear tattoos despite not being an engineer powder is the engineer, Jinx has blue smoke tattoos that resemble the flare that would unite the two :)
I love the irony here of Silco being mad at Vander for abandoning the dream of Zaun's independance for the sake of his kids, when he himself eventually does the same thing for jinx. "Is there anything so undoing as a daughter" is a quote that really shines through.
The best part about Caitlin and Vi is that their relationship is REAL, it's about their individual and shared experiences, about their complimentary strengths and weaknesses, about coming to a mutual understanding and connecting powerfully, intimately with what they see in each other. It's NOT about being GAY!(tm). It's not a token relationship to inject 'representation', it's not a commentary on society's injustices towards people who are gay, not an in your face challenge to 'accept and embrace our gayness or be proven a bigot!'... it's just two girls - two people, two souls - finding one another in the chaos of life. It's not about gay, it's about love, and THAT is what the Earth moves for.
I don't think I've ever wanted to hug two characters more than Vi and Jinx watching this show, even when I know Jinx would most likely throw a grenade at my face.
Another small but important point that many miss is when Jinx finally sits in her chair and says she thought Vi could still love her even though she's "different." Then she says that Vi has changed. At that precise moment, the shot switches to Caitlyn waking up from being knocked out. In Jinx's mind, Vi has made a choice, and she's chosen Caitlyn over Jinx. A big part of Jinx's motivation in the final three episodes is jealousy of Caitlyn, and now she finally gives up. "Here's to the new us" refers to this new dynamic. Incredibly well done!
Also she gave up her name to council when Cait wouldn’t which led to the current events. Of course jinx wasn’t aware of that but we are and she leaves Echo to deal with her on the bridge when he has voiced his intentions to kill her.
He’s one of my favorite written characters ever. He’s so complex - he’s a bad guy, but he has good intentions. His arc is so complex, and he also reminds me of (spoilers for the 15+ year old Serenity movie) the “bad guy” in that. He knows he’s doing terrible things to build a world that he can’t be a part of.
6:51 Mom's spaghetti. 22:53 Episode 3, before Powder hugged him. He literally had the knife behind his back when he kneeled down. He only changed his mind when he was able to relate to her through Vander. 23:26 Look at Powder's face, right before she says "I made her a snack". She was actually disappointed in Vi thinking what we all thought as well. 24:06 Powder asking Vi to get rid of the monsters... 25:48 Didn't pull the trigger... 26:36 All monsters... Vi was definitely making it worse because everyone become like a ghost of the past that haunted her. 28:00 "What makes you different, makes you strong." - Vi, episode 2. Love the parallels and callbacks. In episode 3 they were just about to free Vander, but then... Jinxed. Here the council was literally about to give Silco what he wanted, but then... Jinxed. And yeah, in both cases she ends up murdering her father figure. It's also interesting that Powder did not kill Caitlyn, even though she had several opportunities to do so. It's like she still has so much love and respect for Vi that she still trusts her, despite of her psychotic views of Caitlyn. I suspect Jayce and Viktor will survive. Jayce because he's the one making the hex tech stuff, and Viktor because of the transformation and the hex core. It wouldn't make sense to have them go through this narrative development to then just die. I am very worried about Mel though, because I feel her death or mortal wounds could be a good plot device for Jayce to turn dark and invest into weapons - and not destroy the hex core. I think she's also an original character for the show, which would make her more expendable than a champion from the game. My favorite character is Powder for sure, followed by Silco. After that it gets hard for me to decide. There's a lot of very good characters in this show. Maybe Caitlyn, but Mel is very high for me too - even before the last couple episodes. Ella Purnell's voice acting in this show though, especially during the tea party, was so freaking good. All the emotions, the little voice cracks, it's hard to believe that this was her first voice acting job. I'm loving her in Fallout too.
A few other call backs and parallels to old episodes. In episode one Ekko tells Mylo and Claggor how Jayce came to the shop and didn't even haggle and how he really screwed him. In episode 9 you once again hear Silco saying how Jayce didn't even haggle and just gave everything he asked for. In episode 5 when Silco baptizes Jinx he says to her, 'Jinx is perfect.' At the end of episode 9, Silco no longer has to say Jinx is perfect and instead says, 'You are perfect.'
Was looking to see if anyone in the comments made the connection to the Vi chasing off monsters story and how she was accidentally creating them in that moment and it was actually Silco who tried to chase them away. Glad to know someone else caught it!
@@FushigiNoRoxas Vi unfortunately is very out of touch in regards to what's going on within Powder. With her psychosis even the bed story with Cait shines a different light on those moments. Vi said Powder would get scared and then Vi had to chase those made up monsters away, but from Powder's perspective those monsters probably manifested for her in form of hallucinations, making them very real.
@@Dark__Thoughts Have you played through Jinx's Path of the Champions in Legends of Runeterra? I love their dynamic there and can't wait to see it get there in Arcane.
also if vou notice in the past episode jinx is always on high alert trying to avoid death. But in the scene in episode 7 when ekkos is on top of her, her face relaxes and smiles. She doesn't move away from the bom she stays right under ekko, like she wanted to die. Jinx has been dealing with trama for years and by her self. Most people think about actually committing suicide. The fight between ekko and inx was the same play fight they did when they were kids so it must have been a nostalgic moment for her. So why not die in the arms of her childhood best friend? Plus in the game it was mentioned that ekko had a crush on powder when they were kids. And the arcane enemy music video shows there were a lot of scenes of ekko and powder together as kids.
I don't usually leave comments but girls did an amazing job reacting to this series (shout-out to you editor as well, you rock). So excited to see you advance in this lore and also for the new season!
27:59 the heartbreaking thing about this is the fact that Vi doesn't love Jinx, she loves Powder. It's heartbreaking becuase Vi doesn't understand how to even begin to love Jinx because she's only known Powder
The gemstone isn't in the rocket. Its in the launcher. The gemstone is just a power source. The runes direct the function. You can see the tubes of different colored liquids when the rocket opens. The same basic design as Jinxs grenade we see when Victor opens it. Just orders of magnitude more. Sort of fitting that the topside technology of hextech is used to launch a massive bomb of underground chem tech at the council.
The problem w Himerdinger is he is to head in the clouds, he understands the past and doesn’t want to repeat it and he wants to protect the future with safeguards, but he doesn’t give a shit about the present, and I think episode 8 made him realize that. Seeing the suffering and hate in the undercity while he was just having a great life without a care the day before. It goes back to the opera, he was mesmerized by the pretty thing happening in front of him, while all the work was happening behind him while his eyes were closed.
adding to that point. Himerdinger oversaw the government that allowed the exploitation and suffering that occurred in the undercity. The suffering that Silco was at first rebelling against and in the end the administrator of. The evil of top side almost always looks pretty. Exploitation, segregation, the implementation of a super harsh class system all took place under his reign as the leader of the council. The exploited class lives in such harsh conditions that topsiders wear masks when breathing their air.
they showcase that Heimer essentially has a distorted perspective of time due to how long he’s been alive when he mentions 10 years is nothing to Jayce and Viktor
Jinx saying "I'm sorry" after killing Silco is the first time in the show that she apologizes for anything. It shows just how much he mattered to her and how she truly regrets what she has just done.
His final thoughts and words, despite what she did is only about her well being. He even says You and not Jinx for the first time which would imply that he is saying that it does not matter who she chooses to be. She is perfect either way. Yes sometimes Silco does manipulate her but every time it is when he is afraid he's about to loose her. The only thing he's ever loved. Which is selfish yes but his love for her is still so incredibly strong. I really love this character. He is a really really bad person but there's so much more than just that. I watched this for the first time a couple weeks ago and it's not often you can say "well that was the best series or movie i have ever watched".
A wild detail, among the many in this show, is that at 16:46 you can see Jinx in the picture behind the statue. It's just that there's so much going on and you're so enthralled by Silco conversing with the memory of Vander and the realizations that he's coming to--that you can easily overlook it. One of my favorites from the show is the first post-time jump argument between Marcus & Silco. Silco actually frames Marcus in a square during one of the scene's shots, giving a subtle visual aid to just how "trapped inside a box" he really was and how those willing to take any measures can hold your greatest strengths against you. EDIT: Even the small details, like the "force field" at 19:34 is in reference to--in any lesser show--a throwaway line about how those Atlas gauntlets were made for miners down in the fissures. So naturally, crossing your hands in front of your face to block activates the force field that would keep floating debris from landing on you and anyone nearby. The show is just so meticulous and treats nothing like filler.
I think the shield is more of a backwards thing, because that's one of Vi's abilities in game. So they just had to figure out what would explain a fighting gauntlet Would have a shield and went "Mining equipment made by a guy who never worked at a mine"
Started watching yall for Arcane, specifically. It's potentially my favorite show of all time, and I love watching peoples reactions and perspectives, so I've seen MANY channels react. You both have had such thoughtful and engaging commentary on this series. I came for Arcane, but I'm definitely staying and subscribing for you two. You both have very calming auras and unique perspectives, and I can't wait to see more of yall. Great editing and setup, too! 11/10 will watch again ❤
Hey guys, I just binged all your Arcane reactions. I've been obsessed with the show since it dropped and watched so many reactors do the show. But as it's been so long, I thought I had exhausted all the reactions to Arcane. Then I found your channel. Loved the reactions, love how hyped you guys are for the show, which is basically me. I subbed and cant wait for Season 2. Your channel was the last reaction channel I watched to season 1 but it's gonna be the first one I watch for season 2. LFG. 🤣
“Are we STILL sisters” “NOTHING is ever going to change that” Vi openly lied to Jinx there Jinx was asking if Vi accepted her even in her messed up state, but Vi only wanted the old her back It’s crazy but Vi was lying to Jinx the entire time in that last scene while Silco was FULLY telling the truth to her
Vi would have, but she's only known Jinx for all of 5 minutes, and most of which spent at the opposite end of a gun. You can't expect her to immediately know who Jinx is and decide to accept or not.
Vi would have. But Im wondering If Vi accepts her current state, would she need to accept that Jinx could kill people and blow up buildings at any given time? You can accept the person and still expect them to change from being a terrorist.

Thanks so much for all your work to entertain us! Your reactions and comments are always excellent, and the editing is on point, too (thanks editor!)! Very happy to see an end of this season of Arcane with y'all, but looking forward to checking out your other stuff!
One of the best reactions on this show that I watched! Thank you for reminding me how great this show is and how strong emotions it’s hiding under that spectacular visuals. I’m here for all the future LoL content of yours. If I can recommend some; of course the “Crossing the Rift” documentary of how was Arcane made. But then there is a video from my fellow Czech citizen; Necrit, about the world of Arcane (Runneterra). It’s made because if hype of new MMO game that is Riot making (I can’t wait to play it after we all will be in retirement house 😂), but I think it’s the best way how to get bigger picture of the world for the lore-masters beginners 😊 Once again, thanks you for the ride!!❤
@26:11 and also very noticeable at the end of her fight w Ekko when he pauses, the artists actually designed two different faces for Teen Jinx. She has a Powder face and a Jinx face which do have distinct features so you're not wrong in saying that. It's intentionally part of the artistry.

Vi in the first 3 episodes hated topside and the enforcers as much if not more than Jinx does. THAT version of Vi might have been convinced to side with Jinx in her war against Piltover and love her without expecting her to become a better person, but she's changed too much by the finale to ever do that now, thanks to people like Vander and Cait And Jinx realizes this before Vi does, who is still living a little in denial because of how deep both her love and her guilt go. I think, if anything, the biggest change the Shimmer did to Jinx was forcing her to grow up. Until then, she was still a little bit trapped at the same age she was in episode 3, but in the finale all that childishness is burned out of her, and she starts to see the world more clearly
Okay, here we go... I believe part of Vi's pushing Caitlyn away is her realization that if Caitlyn stayed with her while she went after Powder, at some point she'd have to choose between the two or one would likely end up killing the other and it would be impossible for her to deal with either reality. Mel appears to have some sort of armor (that golden frame that she wears even when sleeping that gleams and seems to warn her of the incoming attack), so I am certain that she will be able to use that to protect herself and likely Jase and Victor as well, there's no way those two aren't alive next season. The shark cannon Jinx uses at the end if the 'weapon' Silco had mentioned earlier and is named 'Fishbones' in the game as her ultimate attack. It's meant to represent Silco (remember all those giant monster fish swimming around down around his lair?) and even has a scar carved into one eye, which is a wonderful Easter egg for LOL fans. If you pay attention, after she defeats Sevika, Vi gives the exact same sort of primal scream she gave after Vander's death. It's sub-textual, but Sevika is basically the person that Vi grew up wanting to be, a childhood hero of hers, and destroying her was essentially destroying who she had once wanted to grow up and become, and surrendering the entire world view that went with it. @29:09 - Almost everybody misses the significance of what they're seeing in that frame... that's Vander hanging there, certain to become the LOL Champion named Warwick. I have a whole dissertation on this subject, but Silco didn't love Jinx. He might have believed he did, but he is a consummate narcissist and the only thing he loves about her is how much of him he sees in her. Even at the end when he tells her that she's perfect, that's him using his dying breath to make sure she never goes back to who she was and stays what he thinks he made her, even if that would have made her happy or given her peace. Silco's question 'is there anything so undoing as a daughter' is actually a major theme throughout the entire season. Both Vander and Silco die because of Powder, that much is obvious, but think about it... Caitlyn's mother doesn't die in the council chamber if Caitlyn hadn't gotten involved. Ambessa (Mel's mother) exiled her because she was weakening her as a ruler. Marcus is forced to keep working for Silco due to the threat against his daughter and ultimately dies for it himself. I'm even fairly certain that Singed is looking at a picture of his daughter in the locket he's holding at the end. What I'm wondering is if that equation doesn't have a second, redeeming half to it, one that we will see in the next season. I'm so glad to have discovered you ladies - yet another gift from the creator's of Arcane. :)
The fact that Vi triggers jinx's PTSD without realizing shows how she doesn't understand her anymore. While Silco accepts her even if it kills him. She is perfect.
There's a special magic when the climax of a story has you mourning for all sides in a conflict. I feel so much for Vi, Jinx, and Silco because they were all going to lose a part of themselves in that scenario. I've been waiting for so long to see the aftermath of the attack on the council. With Mel in the direct path of the missile, I'm assuming that she won't make it and that might ignite a change in Jayce and Mel's mom.
❤ man what a ride with you guys! I am so happy you guys loved it too. This is absolutely one of my favorite animations ever! I can’t wait to watch season 2 with you all.
Be prepared for your schedule next week, FORTICHE is highly probably about to anonce S2 with a trailer at Annecy Awards in France the 11/06 or 12/06. I m hyped to the max. And now let's watch the episode :)
For more League videos i recommend Necrit´s video called (The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done) While its made for the mmo game, in this specific video he goes over every major region and explains the background and lore of each region. Its a near perfect video to get a baseline understanding of the world or Runterra. U nailed it to what i belive is a major part of why she choose the Jinx chair and "abandones" VI at the end. Through out every episode after the 3rd when Jinx se memorys of her old life with Milo, Clagger and Vander she dosent see happy memorys but instead she sees them almost exclusivly as distorted nightmares and in the last few scenes VI not knowing what those old memorys does to Jinx VI forces those memorys onto Jinx and shes begging for them to stop. All she sees are haunting monsters but VI dosent know this and keeps on pushing. Silco knows exactly what this does to Jinx and the moment VI does this he goes absolutly berserk screaming at Jinx not to listen to her. Silco does anything he can to break free and the moment he gets the gun he tries to shoot VI and stop her from causing this pain to Jinx. At this point Jinx is out of control due to those haunting visions and just reacts to the gun which result in her killing Silco. Jinx is not all crazy and the show shows it with the cupcake when she says "I´m not that crazy" VI never learned what there past memorys does to Jinx and becouse of that she causes Jinx to directly kill her 2nd father figuer and the only person in her life that trully understands her. "I thought u could love me like u used to, but u changed to" In the end VI tried to get sweet young Powder back but that was never gonna be possable and in trying to do so she made her kill the only other person that cared for her.
Loved your reactions, and yeah, unfortunately some commentors can't seem to allow people to take in the show and experience it, thinking they need to 'correct' them on things, like the Mel thing. You two were perfect. There are some great breakdowns of the series, from the lore perspective, even the psychological. They did an amazing portrayal with Jinx and the difficulties she had, when she claims that it wasn't Silco but Vi that made her, we have to remember this was just her feelings on it, but if we go back, even to the very first opening scene of the series, we see that same scratchy art style over the enforcer's face for a moment, something we later come to learn is how they show us Powder/Jinx's trauma, most likely some sort of imbalance which she bore from birth.
Silco realizing he is going to make the same decision that he criticized Vander for is a top tier arc. This show was amazing. Throughout it, the show asked us several questions and by the end, it answered all of them. Can there be peace? Can Jinx come back? Can Vi accept Jinx? Will Hextech be used for violence? There’s clearly more story to tell, but season 1 told the full story it wanted to. What a show!
When Vi says "he knew what he signed for" about the kid Jayce killed, that's wild, you can truly see how hard the war with Silco has affected her, to the point she sometimes thinks as the enforcers she hates so much. My poor girl.
in my humble opinion. not only is this the greatest anime I've ever seen. but how they show the decent into madness and just how events in a person's life can permanently change someone is both breath taking and horrifying to watch as Jinx slips from powder to Jinx. truly the greatest show to show how madness is created in my opinion. i can't even begin to guess what the next season has instore for us. I've played league of legends since the first year and know just about all the lore. i hope for more of these characters but at the same time. i hope they go to a different set of characters for the next season. there is over 150 characters to build this anime world with.
So glad you guys enjoyed season 1~ Not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but regarding Vi x Cait, their adventure into Zaun only lasted a few days. The subtlety of their relationship is very realistic when you look at the timeframe of the season. There's yearning there, enhanced by their shared experiences, but they still barely know each other by Caitlin's abduction. I love the narrative decision to keep it subtle and more implied than directly stated. Even in the game, they have a long history as partners, but I don't think we've ever had any confirmation that they've been romantically involved. Yet.
28:58 I'm glad she is still alive tbh, her design is awesome and I really hope she becomes a champion (a playable character in League). Btw, Riot has confirmed that 2 characters from Arcane will become champions and they already revealed one of them, can you guys guess who it is? The current league champions featured in arcane are: Vi, Caitlyn, Jinx, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Viktor, Jayce and Singed (the shimmer doctor)
Now that you’ve watched the whole thing - go watch it again. If you pay close attention, the arcs of the 3 acts are almost identical. They start with a heist and a building/bridge blowing up and the gemstone being stolen, they and with vi and jinx being separated (acts 1-2 vi is taken from jinx, act 3 jinx walks away from vi), even down to the final fight being on a bridge/walkway in each act. It’s hard to see how closely they parallel each other until you know how they all go, but once you see it it is amazing how they pulled it off
There’s a 30 second teaser for season 2 out already and they put out the poster for it a few days ago 😁 I started this show a week after it released not thinking to much of it and I binged it all in one go and then rewatched it because my sister saw how much I loved it. Can’t wait for November 🫡
26:39 In this moment I want you to realize that Silco really cares about Jinx. He knew that what Vi reminded Jinx was very painful and torturing for her.
I'd like to appreciate you for acknowledging that Jinx has gone through so much shit and trauma enough to break anyone. I totally understand her and her actions, and I understand those who don't. Some things need experience to actually hit home. She's my favorite character ❤
Loved y'alls reactions!! Can't wait for season 2! To the editor: great job as well! You mentioned Teemo. Does he count as being in the season too? 🤣(episode 6 in the book)
Teemo can go away and just rot somewhere ;D I hope the writers include him again in some other humiliating way. He's been kicked and licked in media now, I wonder what they'll do to him next.
to be honest, you could also say that vander betrayed sevika. he lost sight of the cause in order to protect his interests, the children. this show is so complex like that
You know the council doesnt even know what jinx looks like , this show shows concicuences soo good like vi didnt want to tell the council about jinx , but she did and thats how the council found out abput her .
Now that the series is finally over you can do a reaction to Arcane Bridging the Rift to see what the team has gone through creating the series. I really hope you like this, to see the wonders and horrors of crafting a masterpiece😂
I love you both so much and thank you for all of your reactions! I cant wait to see if you watch the cinematics someday but I also love your Korra reactions! Love to both of you
35:08 "And Noxus is all war." Okay, if you don't want to be spoiled about Runeterra's lore, skip the rest, but... Yeah, Noxus is an expansionist Empire that wish to conquer the entire world, and they often (nearly always) rely on war. But as you learned in Arcane that nothing and nobody is fully good or bad in this world, remember that Noxus is also part of this world. Noxus is an empire founded after the Rune Wars, wich was massiv conflicts occuring between many civilizations centuries ago. At this time, some people were using extremely powerfull magical atrifacts to fight each other, wich resulted in ruining landscapes, erasing cities and civilizations, and having some places corrupted by residual magic (figure it as radioactivity after nuclear explosion, but magic). Note that Piltover and Demacia (you don't hear anything about the Demacian realm in Arcane) are also cities built by people who tried to escape and survive the Rune Wars, juste like Noxus. But during the Rune Wars, Noxians were harrased from every sides, and they had to fight to survive. They did both. Those people had to learn to constantly be ready to fight, and to stop at nothing. But the Rune War was still in everybody's mind, and to prevent their people (and the world) to face such a tragedy once again, they choose to conquer the world and reunite everybody under the Noxian banner. Their is no reason to fight another country if their is only one country. So no more war. Step by step, they turned into a pride civilization that value strength. Any kind of strength; intelligence, charisma, strategy, physical strength, magic, crafting ability... Noxians respect talents, and encourage people to cultivate it as much as possible. They don't give a shit about races, origins, wealth or social status; the only thing they value is what a person is capable of. Noxus has slaves, but even slaves can reach the highest sphere of the Noxian society if they proove they deserve it. Noxians are fierce, brutal, often mercyless, but they're clearly not as bad as many people portray them. Even Mel saying that "War is Noxus first and every recourse" is not entirely true. Noxus invade every region, but they always propose to the different countries to willingly join them first. If they refuse, Noxus will attack and take it by force, but if they accept, they'll become part of the Noxus empire, and will be treated like every other noxian citizen, all this without any kind of violence. Always go deeper than appearance, you might be surprised by what's hidding beneath.
I Love everyone’s reaction when Jinx brings in the cloche. Even people that know Caitlyn is a champion are wondering if she has enough plot armor to survive or if that really is her head. I have listened to the last song over and over again it’s amazing. While your waiting for season 2 I highly recommend Bridging the Rift the documentary about the making of. All the KDA music videos. A super funny fan made animation Arcane in a nutshell. the League of Legends Cinematics and Necrits breakdowns. ❤ Enjoy and cant wait for season 2 🎉
Really enjoyed your Arcane reactions! Dee’s facial expressions throughout the series were so funny and entertaining! Lol I laughed so hard at that quick pic of Vi missing a tooth! If you’re interested in Arcane analysis and S2 predictions, I suggest Schnee’s vids. If haven’t seen already for CaitVi, Tilda Owen. She really likes Caitlyn lol Im all for their slow burn romance! Looking forward to the BTR reactions!
If you guys look at the end while the Jinx rocket was flying to the council room in the corner while Singe was looking at a picture of his daughter you can see a form.....
The fact that Silco even met with Jayce proves that hes not just a violent psychopath. He uses violence cuz its the only thing he think they will listen to, he even says as much in episode 3. The fact that he meet with Jayce show that he is villing to come to terms without violence if possible. Arcane is one of the best shows Ive ever seen. This is the exact reason. No one is 100% good, no one is 100% bad. Everyone is on a scale of gray, everyone is human and everyone us acting *_exactly_* as they would, no one ever acts out of character Silcos methods is what makes him the villain, not his cause. He was once a brother in arms with Vander, they both came from the same side and with the same motivations. Trauma, corruption and betrayal made him paranoid, cynical and ruthless. The most beautiful thing is that in a sense, Jinx saved Silco. A the show progress he regains more and more of his humanity, caring more about her than the cause. As he told Vander, "It all makes sense now, brother... is there anything as undoing as a daughter?" Thats literally what Jinx did to him, she stripped him of everything he was, his conviction, ambition, made his dreams and sacrifices secondary. By giving him back a little bit of his humanity, he was able to die a man and a father instead of a monster. Not a good father, a broken person trying to raise and even more broken person cant be anything but disasterous. But definitely a loving father and i 100% he actually wanted what was best for her. He was just not in a position to provide it, being a very damaged individual himself. His very last concern was to assure Jinx he did not blame her, that it wasnt her fault, that he loved her and that she was perfect. The ultimate villain died with love in his heart, not hatered. How is that not saving him? Good god, the writing in this show is on such unbelievable levels. Silco (paired with Jinx) is the greatest villain of all time.
Awesome Reaction! Love how you all went in-depth too in the analysis after. Do you think you could react to Sting - What could have been? The video from Riot Games Music of that last song. It's so so good and beautifully emotional after you've just finished the series, and what you heard in that last scene was a very muted/shortened version of it. Also, the creator of the song at Riot said in a podcast that the song should be interpreted as Jinx singing to Vi, which I thought was really cool! (Bridge the Rift is the podcast if you're interested, and explains a lot of how they made Arcane) If not react, then definitely listen to it on your own time!
I've been hyped for S2 for so long. I'm excited to see if and how characters change towards their in-game selves. And also to see Warwick. Got my fingers crossed to see other P&Z characters like Dr. Mundo, Twitch, and Blitzcrank.
I actually know the artist behind Ekko both in game as well as in the series, he’s Ecuadorian… looking forward for season 2 in November. A fun fact about Arcane is that the story we see in the series wasn’t really game canon, but it was so good that Riot actually changed the entire game Lore and made Arcane canon
I like that Selvika is just Silko's henchman but she is shown to be her own character so in the scene even Silko did not know which way she was turning. In another show none would have bothered to create such a complex power dynamic between the villain and his primary henchman.
I'd recommend Necrit's video called "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done", it gives a nice broad showcase of the entire world that Arcane is set in.
I love your reaction! By the way, you guys have to check out Jinx and Vi's story on Path of Champions in Legend of Runeterra. It's a mini-game that came out after the Arcane show. I think you can find both story cutscenes without gameplay on RUclips. It's basically a little preview of season 2, and it's so heartwarming.
You guys did good at guessing the champions. This was a neat ride, watching you guys react to this epic series. League did a Watch party when Season 2 Dropped for Season 2 Ep 1. were you guys there? If not have you started season 2 ? Cant wait to see your reactions!
Savika’s defining trait is loyalty, not to any one person but to the nation of Zaun. So when Vander gave up on Zaun and was content with the way things were she found the best way to continue that. So she did betray him, but she was following her code so was it betrayal?

@@hungryrabbiddawg @23:05 I think I found it! Fitting scene for it :P
Edit: from 06 to 05
You are 100% right, when Silco was yelling, “don’t listen to her”, he wasn’t trying to manipulate Jinx or anything nefarious, but rather he understood that in Vi’s attempt to get Powder to snap out of being Jinx all Vi was doing was triggering Jinx’s trauma.

The fact that I actually thought that Jinx decapitated Caitlin....... That was the writers flexing. They could deadass make me fall in love with a rock, for all I know.
Lmaaooo!! We felt exactly the same 😂😂
Look at her face at 23:26 before she says "I made her a snack". It's like she was testing Vi and was then sad by what she thought of her.
I've watched a lot of Arcane reactions. 100% everyone thinks it's Caitlin's head.
Yea he tried to stop Vi from re-traumatizing jinx, and jinx reacted to protect her sister. Very unfortunate scene

Love how you pointed out the slow-burn development with Caitlyn and Vi. Too often in media, same-sex relationships are either unnaturally shoved in as token representation or remain eternally buried in subtext, which does not seem to be where Arcane is taking it
On point here 🙏🏼

I really love it when reactors actually get Silco and don't just write him off as ONLY manipulating Jinx, like if the characters were that 1 dimensional this show would've sucked it feels so clear that there's depth to all of these characters and it's both shown AND expressed but some people refuse to see it 😅😅 great reaction guys
It's typical for people to do that with anyone you're "not supposed to" root for. It happens frequently with Marcus, too, but enough people have come around to understand his position enough to do him the justice his character was written to deserve.
it honestly doesn’t matter how silco feels about jinx because it all cancels out because he is manipulating her lmao
@@transmatized Oh so I guess he's a bad character then? It's a bad show then? Not sure what your point is here. Are you saying he IS a 1 dimensional simplistic boring villain?
Even in his manipulations come from his own trauma and fear of abandonment. Basically two BPD people who have bonded. Disaster waiting to happen.
ella pernell's jinx voice acting is insane. You can FEEL how broken she is palpably
Now imagine hitting that credit roll and waiting since end of 2021. I didn't even know reaction channels where a thing until my Arcane withdrawal kicked in.
Wow, now that you mention it I can't believe it's almost been 3 years.
🤯🤯 good point!
Also another good bit of symbolism is both of their tattoos Vi has gear tattoos despite not being an engineer powder is the engineer, Jinx has blue smoke tattoos that resemble the flare that would unite the two :)
Are you trying to say "shimmer"?
One other thing is eye colors. In their final versions, Jinx's eyes are pink and Vi's eyes are blue
The fact jinx say "send her go away" and not kill her. Show how far she is gone death is just something to make people "go away" for her
thats a reference to the game vi and powder played as kids, where vi made the monsters go away
Beautifully said! 🙂↕️❤️
I don't think I've ever wanted to hug two characters more than Vi and Jinx watching this show, even when I know Jinx would most likely throw a grenade at my face.
And Vi would probably shove me away and give me the finger XD But same, the need all the hugs
"What makes you different, makes you strong." Vi to Powder in episode 2.
Also she gave up her name to council when Cait wouldn’t which led to the current events. Of course jinx wasn’t aware of that but we are and she leaves Echo to deal with her on the bridge when he has voiced his intentions to kill her.
Also Vi chose an enforcer = "people who killed our parents" in Jinx's black/white thinking
@@JacobFors And both times she was protecting Cait.
Not that knowing that would make jinx feel any better about it.
@@j.f.fisher5318a new clip of S2 just dropped and it shows Vi as an enforcer
Silco is my favorite character, because I went from hating him, and loving him at the end. Such a complex character.
@@FushigiNoRoxas No, and I never will.
also if vou notice in the past episode jinx is always on high alert trying to avoid death.
Damn so true
Vi and Jinx are both born from trauma. The only difference is in how they handle it. Vi's trauma made her stronger, while Jinx's trauma broke her.
You can see her in the corner of Caitlyn's bathroom in the previous episode too.
This is the sweetest comment! Thank you for making our day and for following along and watching with us 🥹🫶🏼
Hey guys, I just binged all your Arcane reactions.
LFG. 🤣
This is literally the sweetest comment! Thank you for watching along with us and we’re so excited to dive into S2 with y’all 🥹🫶🏼
@@MeeshDeeReacts You're welcome! 🙂 5 months and counting!
I funny to me how you were counting by Months while im counting by Years when waiting for season 2, so relatively its somewhat sooner for me
Right! They're like oh no, 6 months, and I'm like, omg, just 6 months!
I luckily kinda forgot about the show after act 2 and act 3 still not being out, so I was able to just re-watch the whole season recently.
Now imagine having to wait 3 years for season 2
“Are we STILL sisters”
“NOTHING is ever going to change that”
Vi openly lied to Jinx there
Jinx was asking if Vi accepted her even in her messed up state, but Vi only wanted the old her back
It’s crazy but Vi was lying to Jinx the entire time in that last scene while Silco was FULLY telling the truth to her
Vi would have, but she's only known Jinx for all of 5 minutes, and most of which spent at the opposite end of a gun. You can't expect her to immediately know who Jinx is and decide to accept or not.
Vi would have. But Im wondering If Vi accepts her current state, would she need to accept that Jinx could kill people and blow up buildings at any given time? You can accept the person and still expect them to change from being a terrorist.
WHEN I TELL Y’ALL THAT WHEN I SAW THIS EP FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE ENDING😭….I literally threw my tv remote across my room and was yelling at the tv😭😭😭 bc why would they end it like that and then I’ve been waiting like 3 years I believe for s2😭(which so excited that it’s coming this November🙌🏽) also the scene with the platter, I really thought it was Caitlyn’s head, I was scared shit at that scene🤣
We can’t wait for Season 2 in November!!!! 😭😭
Wait 3 years for season 2, then binge the entire season in 1 day!😅
@@massacrestarts1673 exactly what imma do😭😭😭 hopefully they release it all in 1 week but they might do what they did last time and release 3 eps a week. In that case I’ll have to wait an extra 3 weeks for all eps to come out then watch it all within a day😭

It’s made because if hype of new MMO game that is Riot making (I can’t wait to play it after we all will be in retirement house 😂), but I think it’s the best way how to get bigger picture of the world for the lore-masters beginners 😊
Once again, thanks you for the ride!!❤
Whoever decided to add the "K.O." is awesome! I was not ready for that at all! Perfect, and I've not heard anything like that in any other reaction!
@26:11 and also very noticeable at the end of her fight w Ekko when he pauses, the artists actually designed two different faces for Teen Jinx. She has a Powder face and a Jinx face which do have distinct features so you're not wrong in saying that. It's intentionally part of the artistry.
Thank you editor
You guys made my day by posting this before I had to go to work. I enjoyed this journey and I can't wait to see you guys in Season 2 and to see what you guys react to before then regarding League. -M&D ❤️🔥
Vi in the first 3 episodes hated topside and the enforcers as much if not more than Jinx does. THAT version of Vi might have been convinced to side with Jinx in her war against Piltover and love her without expecting her to become a better person, but she's changed too much by the finale to ever do that now, thanks to people like Vander and Cait
And Jinx realizes this before Vi does, who is still living a little in denial because of how deep both her love and her guilt go. I think, if anything, the biggest change the Shimmer did to Jinx was forcing her to grow up. Until then, she was still a little bit trapped at the same age she was in episode 3, but in the finale all that childishness is burned out of her, and she starts to see the world more clearly
You can see last remnant of Powder to leave Jinx body while she shoots the rocket. Her blue tear is last bit of Powder
"...and she's so loving and optimistic; everyone she meets she doesn't judge them right away..."
Jericho: "say what now? wtf?"
😍😍🙏🏼 thank you!!
21:21, Fun fact: That is a "Valdani" which Powder finds in Jace's apartment in episode 1
We who watched this when it came out have been stuck on this bloody cliffhanger for so long, finally we're almost to season 2!
When Vi says "he knew what he signed for" about the kid Jayce killed, that's wild, you can truly see how hard the war with Silco has affected her, to the point she sometimes thinks as the enforcers she hates so much. My poor girl.
You talk about it so great! You know! Love ya

in my humble opinion. not only is this the greatest anime I've ever seen. but how they show the decent into madness and just how events in a person's life can permanently change someone is both breath taking and horrifying to watch as Jinx slips from powder to Jinx. truly the greatest show to show how madness is created in my opinion. i can't even begin to guess what the next season has instore for us. I've played league of legends since the first year and know just about all the lore. i hope for more of these characters but at the same time. i hope they go to a different set of characters for the next season. there is over 150 characters to build this anime world with.
So glad you guys enjoyed season 1~
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but regarding Vi x Cait, their adventure into Zaun only lasted a few days.
It’s hard to see how closely they parallel each other until you know how they all go, but once you see it it is amazing how they pulled it off
Thanks for the warning of spoilers editor, I don't watch trailers, or anything for shows I know I'm going to watch anyway. Cheers

"a big sad sister moment"
yup!
Silco is broken man, in the broken world, trying to take care of broken girl. Sad AF
I'd like to appreciate you for acknowledging that Jinx has gone through so much shit and trauma enough to break anyone. I totally understand her and her actions, and I understand those who don't. Some things need experience to actually hit home. She's my favorite character ❤

35:08 "And Noxus is all war."
Okay, if you don't want to be spoiled about Runeterra's lore, skip the rest, but...

I love how Viktor is so fucked up just showing his future League of Legends self is too much of a spoiler to even discuss LOL
Hehe, thanks for watching and keeping mum on Viktor. I'm sure his reveal later on, should he get one in S2, will be glorious.
@@hungryrabbiddawg I'm sure the next season of arcane will once again be called revolutionary!
They'll definitely have to crank things up if they want to outdo this season!
This episode makes me emotional every time, and I've probably watched 30 reactions to Arcane by this point.
Everyone is on a scale of gray, everyone is human and everyone us acting *_exactly_* as they would, no one ever acts out of character
Silcos methods is what makes him the villain, not his cause.
As he told Vander, "It all makes sense now, brother... is there anything as undoing as a daughter?"
Thats literally what Jinx did to him, she stripped him of everything he was, his conviction, ambition, made his dreams and sacrifices secondary.
Glad you ladies felt the same.... phenomenal show Riot and Fortiche put together. Excited for season 2!!
LFGG 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sevika is honestly one of favorite characters, shes badass.
You gotta watch league of legends cinematics to fill the void arcane gave us
We’re already on it! 😉
I'd recommend Necrit's video called "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done", it gives a nice broad showcase of the entire world that Arcane is set in.
Jinx pow-pow gun is from Powder name, also Cait`s traps are called cupcakes
11:24 I thought my headphones were threatening me. Sounded exactly like the voice my headphone uses.
My 3 favorites are echo, Caitlin, and vi then followed by Jinxs. If we had more time with Vander he would be high on my list as well
I love your reaction!
Jinx's VA is Ella Purnell who plays one of the main characters in Fallout. I highly recommend it.
Savika’s defining trait is loyalty, not to any one person but to the nation of Zaun. So when Vander gave up on Zaun and was content with the way things were she found the best way to continue that. So she did betray him, but she was following her code so was it betrayal?
This series messed me up and made me feel so good ... can't wait for round 2!!
Great reaction as always! Can't wait for season 2.
