Why so many people are still idolizing a minor-messaging creeper is beyond me. Here's some facts that will not convince these people, but it's always worth pointing out. 1: Roiland has been extremely distant from the show for some time, possibly since season two. He was almost never actually in the studio and was evidently very hard to work with, as the producer alluded to in this video. All he contributed to was the voices, which had the rambly and stuttery nature toned down a lot as seasons four through six aired. Those manurisms didn't suddenly stop with season seven. 2: People seem to forget that Roiland wasn't let go from Adult Swim only because of the domestic violence charges, but also because he was inappropriately messaging minors. That act alone makes it no surprise he was fired from Adult Swim, and they, as his employer, are fully within their rights to do that. The only thing that changed from the fact he had his domestic violence charges dropped was that he wasn't convicted of a crime. It doesn't mean he's cleared of the predatory behavior he had with minors. 3: Season seven was fully animated and voice acted, and was undergoing final touchups when Roiland was outsed and promptly fired. This means the script and animation did not change at all after Roiland was fired. The new voice actors had to dub over Roland's existing voice acting, which had already influenced the animation. It must have been extremely difficult work that had to be done on a strict time crunch. This may also explain why the start of the season sounded a bit rough because they were likely still getting used to the process. When the new voice actors hit the ground rolling, they rarely slipped up. Personally, I'm really happy for these guys as well as their coworkers who have found real talent. I'm very excited for season eight, not just for Rick and Morty the show but also for the voice actors who will have their first full season to make the characters their own.
The new voice actors are ok. Didn't distract from watching. However, you can tell. Roiland just has more inflections in his voice and delivery. Here, the new voice actors sound more like they are just reading their lines and that's it.
JR wasn't perfect. If you watch back to the earlier seasons, he wasn't consistent. Rick would sound more gravelly in some episodes, and Morty went from a man doing a high pitched voice to him sounding more like a kid (JR got better at Morty). These new voice actors are better, because they sound more professional and like better actors. "YOU LIVED IN MY HOUSE" shook me to my core.

100% better than what they did with solar opposites. Anyone who is complaining should stop! As the voice actors continue to voice these characters it will get better you can already tell it’s getting better towards the end of the season.
Solar Opposites has a good retcon. Let's be real, Justin Roiland isn't exactly versatile as a voice actor. He tends to do the same 2-3 voices for different characters, which feels repetitive and lazy. Korvo sounding like Rick was a missed opportunity, as it leaned too much on a voice already familiar from Rick and Morty instead of bringing something fresh to the table. Variety in voice acting is key because it helps each character have their own identity. Dan Stevens’ portrayal of Korvo offers that distinctiveness, giving the character more depth and making Solar Opposites feel more dynamic, with characters that stand out.
The show should have ended with Roiland's firing, as should all of his shows. These studios trying to hold the moral high-ground by cancelling someone while continuing to juice that same person's creation for money and prestige is grossly hypocritical and disingenuous.
Know what they used to call it when you did something that upset your employer and lost your job before everyone started calling it "cancelling"? Getting fired.

Just because the charges against Justin Roiland were dropped doesn't automatically mean he's innocent. Legal decisions can be influenced by many factors, such as insufficient evidence or procedural issues, which don’t always reflect the actual events. In Roiland's situation, there is still relevant evidence, like screenshots of inappropriate messages allegedly sent to teens, which highlight troubling behavior. These messages are key indicators of misconduct, regardless of the case's legal outcome. The dismissal of charges does not eliminate the evidence or the damage caused by the behavior.

@@PlayStationHomeHHQ this is RUclips, not some forum. There is no issue with replying to old comments. That is what I’m talking about.
It's not the same it is missing something in the new season 7
Solid voice. If you're not the type to activly looking for problems then there was no issues except for some few subpar episodes
werent those allegations dropped? Why is he cancelled still?
because theres more proof that he harrased his co workers
Forever 💯 years.
Sad this happened, all charges dropped against him
Just cause the charges were dropped doesn't mean he's not guilty of shitty behavior.
Should have just kept the og voice actor
He was a pedophile
7/10 needs more "burp"
he hasnt been burping that much since season one
Yeah, him need make more funny bodily noises! Less wordy, more funny noises! 98 percent funny noises!
@@dishonoredundead commenter was just saying burping was completely gone from the character. Not that it should be everything he says, just for it to be present at all.
Great example of a strawman though, that was _very_ exaggerated
Yeah, it will only go downhill now
They brought up the DV but not him trying to hook up with minors
5:35 False
Honestly, do not even notice the difference now
I'm okay with ricks, but morties voice actor doesn't sound his age.
Rick is bad. I'm okay with Morty. Its close enough. But, Rick just sounds like a generic grumpy guy.
2:07 "it was super Rick-orous"
Was that life action beth
best season since maybe 4. the voices were pretty easy to get used to
I’ve never associated with people saying the show is inconsistent until this season. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows this season.
How are you going to drop Roland for allegations and not an actual conviction.
He’s a pedophile.
Having an actor act like the previous actor who was acting out a character they made…it feels weird
If the allegations weren’t proven, why was he replaced.
Image matters more then outcome
He was toxic with other workmates, to the point of harassing them.
well put
@@Enlightened0ne
@@MicaelAlighieri Then he would have been fired earlier with that reason given.
@@Enlightened0ne Jonny Depp comes to mind
It should’ve been Sean Kelly
Charges were dismissed.... -_- due to insufficient evidence.... Big shocker.
