It’s cause his vocal chords are so used to being stretched like all of them which makes his vocal chords try to stretch in all those ways but don’t which creates his voice

I absolutely adore watching voice actors bounce around their iconic voices. I can just imagine how much fun it would be to blow kids minds by walking around talking like these characters
I had the pleasure of working with Tom over the course of several months when he voiced promos for the TV network where I worked. He is just as sweet and nice a person as you'd imagine and hope him to be -- super positive, very funny, took direction like a pro but also had terrific feedback on some ways to make the copy better, etc., etc. I also remember that a couple of the guys I worked with asked if he'd do a recording as Spongebob for their nephew or kid, and he was always happy to do so. I think he's one of those people who genuinely just loves what they do for a living and embraces it fully.

Thank you for giving us SpongeBob. I remember when the books 1st came out I think my kid was still in his first year. Your voice really brought him to life and SpongeBob is a joy. I even have a Lego set of the krusty crab Restaurant and SpongeBob riding in a hamburger, It’s one set. It was given to my son but for some reason he doesn’t love lego like I do. He was too little to read the books but he was definitely old enough to watch the show and we both started to know the song completely. Your voice makes SpongeBob magical, lovable and endlessly optimistic and happy❤
