90% of animators attempt to make the character looks like the actor or actress doing the voice. If you need a more obvious comparison, look at Robert De Niro in Shark Tale
Animators drew Patrick as inspiration for the animation to be exaggerated in their style.

It's really funny, the first time I saw this guy was his relatively small role in MIB 2. And then I discover that the guy is a really good voice actor. Kinda the same as how I saw Greg Ellis in Pirates of the Caribbean and then I found out that he voices multiple characters in the videogames I play
He's so nice, even when the impressions are terrible.
None of the impressions were terrible though...
Well he focuses on what they're doing right, giving them validation rather thsn disparaging them.

@@galaxiegoddess Most of them were atrocious actually. I personally can and have done better, and i'm not a voice actor. The first several were surprisingly good, granted, but the last 3 or 4 were absolutely awful. I do appreciate his positivity in reviewing them, but c'mon, let's not sugar coat it and act like most of them were accurate representations. There were at least 3 that didn't even attempt to copy the voice, they only tried to copy the cadence of speech, and that, by default, is a bad impression.

I love how the voice actors are so nice and encouraging about people doing impressions of themselves when the impressionists are basically using their normal voice and sound nothing alike.
Encouragement helps people learn and help the impressionist makes his impressions better
I don't see it as nice and encouraging. I see it as policing one's thoughts. With certain things he says in certain orders... You can tell what his true feelings are... Lying is not encouraging.
Some of them were good, like Brock Baker (The first one) but a lot of them just talk normally
