  • What's it like to run an Amish retail shop?
We visited several Amish and Mennonite artisans around Shipshewana on our Backroad Tour.
They gave us a tour and gave us the ins and outs of their daily life.
Wondering how YOU can visit the Amish in Shipshewana in a close and personal interaction??
The Back Road Amish Tour in Shipshewana is the perfect tour to give you an introduction to the daily life of the Amish and Mennonite artisan retailers.
We traveled through the beautiful Shipshewana countryside to stop at the farms and shops for Hoosier Buggy Shop, Yoder's Rug Weaving, Teaberry Wood Products, Silver Star Leather Shop, and Carolyn's Kitchen.

I think Amish and Mennonite culture and lifestyle is so fascinating! Love supporting their shops. We have a few communities in Missouri. Been to one so far.

Ahhh, I usually think of PA & OH for Amish culture.

Me too!! Being from Ohio and spending my college years in Ohio's Amish country, it was so much fun getting out and touring the 3rd largest Amish population in Shipshewana Indiana and interacting with them.

Two other Amish communities in northern Indiana are near the towns of Grabill in Allen County and Berne in Adams County.
