Driving to White Pocket Arizona in Vermilion Cliffs National Monument
COME DRIVE WITH US to White Pocket!
The beautiful destination of White Pocket is located in Arizona, really close to the Utah border. It is one of the most unique places to see in Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.
You can travel to White Pocket on your own but it is difficult to get to. There is not much cell service throughout the route to White Pocket so make sure you have a map and know where you are headed. It requires some pre-planning to visit White Pocket because access involves at least 2 hours of driving on bumpy dirt roads that need 4-wheel drive and a high clearance to drive through all the sand.

I have been wanting to get to Arizona for a while now, and this solidifies it!
It's really close to the Utah border, so you can add it to a Zion National Park itinerary too!
Gorgeous...I never knew this existed in AZ despite several visits and living there a few months! Oh and having been to Kanab and hiked The Wave in AZ!

Did you have your own 4 x 4 or did you do a tour?
We rented a 4x4 that was specifically for this tour (and other similar off-road adventuring). They have some companies that expect you to take them on this drive. They were able to give us tips and maps. They even had a gps tracker on their vehicle so in case we got stuck somewhere with no service they could still send help. It was Jeep BNB in Page Arizona. Highly recommend!
@@moyermemoirs Oh that GPS tracker sounds reassuring! Getting stuck somewhere, in the middle of nowhere, doesn't sound fun so that definitely provides peace of mind

I think Amish and Mennonite culture and lifestyle is so fascinating! Love supporting their shops. We have a few communities in Missouri. Been to one so far.

Me too!! Being from Ohio and spending my college years in Ohio's Amish country, it was so much fun getting out and touring the 3rd largest Amish population in Shipshewana Indiana and interacting with them.
Two other Amish communities in northern Indiana are near the towns of Grabill in Allen County and Berne in Adams County.

They wouldn't let us drive a rental up there when we visited unfortunately

They have 4 different rotating scenes set up. It is indoors, but they have a beautiful rooftop view through their windows. Did you see the shot of us on the carpets with the seagulls???? That is my favorite!

oh yes I was initially!!! But we had already spent a few days walking around the jungle and he was the resident pig pet of the main campsite, so we were both familiar to each other by then :)
