- California has the strongest abortion protections in the country, and now it is positioning itself to be the nation's abortion provider. The state could soon be home to nearly 30% of the country's abortion clinics in the wake of SCOTUS overturning Roe v Wade. Paola Ramos went to see how the state is preparing for an influx from out of state abortion seekers.

I can only picture a young teenage girl with no transportation who wants too keep this procedure to her self, how impossible a journey like this might be. There is a huge range of underprivileged females who will suffer because of this and my heart breaks for them.

Making the decision to have an abortion is likely painful enough, but you might feel like it's the right choice for you. And to have to deal with the shame on top of that, insinuating that fetuses are children is just cruel and spiteful. If you are against abortion, don't get one. Anti abortion people have to understand that not everyone shares your opinion and women shouldn't have to succumb to the will of an electorate that will never know or care about them and their stories.
And if you're "pro life" do you support gun control, or providing everyone health care and education? If not, why are you against abortion to save the potential life but not for health care and gun control to save lives of people who are already here?

People are born because of abortion ban. Poor families in 1990-2000s used to have none or one kid to be able to study and have career. A lot of Europeans are obsessed with good career so willing to even kill kids. Rich women can travel to other countries and pay for private service. But it costs multiple minimum wages. But rich don’t need abortions, they are proud of having many kids. Specially men.

I marched with my daughter on June 24th. My daughter is 13 months old. When I was 30 weeks pregnant l was offered termination because she has a genetic disorder that can cause catastrophic brain malformations. She is legally disabled and may be dependent on other people for help for the rest of her life. The state has been very hard to work with in getting her the assistance she’s legally entitled to. There are also laws in place that have been barriers to receiving help that we need as a family. If I didn’t have help raising her from her father and my family I’d have to put her in foster care or she would not get the therapy and medical care she needs.
Our country is not set up to help parents of disabled children. So many more disabled children are going to be institutionalized. Millions of dollars are going to be needed just to pay for their NICU, PICU and medical needs. Or we could just let mothers and families decide what is right for them. Pro choice is pro birthing person. Abortion is healthcare.
Many babies are aborted for many different reasons. To have the right to abort a child for any reason is wrong. Chinese are buying aborted US babies for bio lab experiments.

My aunt was also told she could abort her baby because he had a genetic disorder. She is an immigrant but still did not choose to abort the baby. She was actually offended. Its not like these kids dont deserve to live.

Having lived in California my entire life, I can say that I am proud that whenever I was a teen and needed birth control or regular appointments, I was able to get it. No questions asked. I did not even have health insurance and I was seen. Although there are things that I do not like here, I'm proud of my state

I got pregnant using a condom, and getting the morning after pill was not available in my town.
No women 'wants' an abortion. But it's better than having an unwanted pregnancy.
I have to live with the consequences, after 30 years I still have dreams, it's not an easy choice. Believe me.
You can get the morning after pill online, hell its not like it only works the morning after only. Uk has stricter laws on abortion than most us states, in colorado you can abort up to day of birth, sick.
@@ScoopDogg the UK is NOT strict on abortion at all! I live in England, there aren’t any restrictions here. Abortion was illegal in Northern Ireland until 2019 though. The morning after pill is more effective in the first 48 hours.

Hey Vice, I have some really important advice. Some states are passing laws allowing them to prosecute women for abortions they had out of state and that could mean a murder charge. So don't identify the women. If you think you didn't identify them, you may have forgotten that the police have voice recognition technology and you identified their cities, therefore you gave the police all they need to find these women who will now be considered criminals. Tell the abortion clinic in this video to encrypt their list and store it on a computer that isn't connected to the internet. If someone gets their hands on that list in a state that's banned leaving to get an abortion, all of those women on that list will be at risk. This is important, I hope vice reads their comments.

Not according to the Supreme Court. They ruled that personhood doesn’t apply to a fetus and all rights of mankind do not apply to the fetus.
Then she has option of not having s3x. Less than 1% of abortions are connected to crime. 99.9 % is pure selfishness and search of enjoyment .
You should probably read a bit more on abortion.
Past 13 weeks the fetus starts to feel pain (this is when most European countries ban abortion). When abortions are performed past this point, the doctors have to perform a dilate and extraction procedure. Since the fetus is relatively large at this point, the fetus needs to be broken up into smaller pieces to be removed from the uterus. That means this tiny human, who can feel pain, is being torn into pieces by forceps and being ripped out one piece at a time.
Multiple babies have been born at 21 weeks and survived. Roe v Wade, and still most states, was / are allowing women who are completely healthy with a completely healthy fetus to have this procedure performed up to 24 weeks. It is completely insane and I feel like if everyone knew all of the facts, most sane people would agree.
Outside of health issues, abortions should be limited to the first trimester, like most of the developed world.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for your body your choice..however, I can't smoke Menthol cigarettes.

Thank goodness there is some sense out there! In Scotland, we are implementing safe zones round abortion clinics. What people don’t understand is than women don’t take the decision to terminate a pregnancy lightly, it’s a heartbreaking decision to make and every woman should be supported in making the decisions that a right for them by an informed and educated professional.

We have so many issues going on in the United States and people are protesting about different but really important things And the people that have the ability to make good change aren’t doing anything and but when it comes to the decision to ban abortion happens so quickly, taking every chance control women, the world is run by men and we have been fighting for our rights for decades, it’s just horrible. And considering I’m a mixed black women. So many of us die from complications and there’s more of a risk then white or Mexican or any other race. racism is still an issue for us. There’s so many problems with the abortion ban, doing it before they have the funding to help people who are to poor to afford to have a baby, to help young mothers like my mom was 14 and she had no help when she chose to keep her baby. The hypocrisy is easily noticeable in some pro life protesters, I can go on and on I’m very disappointed and the situation will only get worse after this and it will be noticeable and deadly unless they do something about it.

This has been part of life in Ireland for decades. If a couple you knew were getting the "ferry to Liverpool for the weekend" you knew most likely they are having an abortion. Putting women through this extra barrier only causes extra trauma.

They don’t know how to feel and it is a very huge concept to try to wrap your mind around which can make everything very confusing. That’s why there are pro life clinics that the mother can go to, calm down, see the baby, and get counselling without being persuaded to either side. It’s a calm space they sit in and talk if they like. The reason they have these places is to clear the women’s mind and take time to figure things out. Sometimes we need to figure things out before we choose what to do... abortion clinics only give you a few minutes after taking one of their pregnancy tests to decide, use a fear tactic like you aren’t ready or can’t afford the baby, and then you make a fast choice that you will regret because you didn’t have time to choose. I’ve heard of women changing their mind on the table but have to go through with it anyway because they came that far, and now have to go through counselling for ptsd. That barrier also helps protect women from a toxic relationship when in most cases, the women doesn’t what to go through with it but the boyfriend forces her to.

Unfortunately we don’t have that, you can walk into a clinic and get an abortion in America without much thought.
