Excellent. I bought a couple of Lumia 81 phones as backup, but they only had Internet Explorer. The 'universal updater' let me upgrade to version 10 and I got Edge. Excatly waht I needed

Heyy there! I tried it with my Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE but this method wasn't really successful... first I couldn't#t select the folder with the packages manually, the second option just leaded to errors on my computer and the first option came through to the phone but as it tried to install it I got the error that the update was downloaded but cannot be installed on the phone(error code: 800b010a). Any suggestions what i could do now?

Hello, my phone is nokia lumia 925 windows phone 8.1 When I open the program, I get the following error: Command failed. (HRESULT = 0x802a0006) How do I fix this error? I've been wanting this phone for almost a year. I was wondering because I have always loved Nokia phones. Can you please help me?
EDİT: I noticed something. In the video, I saw that in the first update, the application copied 140 files to the phone, but in mine it copies 119 files. so the files are lost? the first time i did it the sad face appeared, i managed to get it back to windows 8.1 but still i can't update to windows 10

I updated my Lumia 1520 Windows 8.1 phone to Windows 10 by using Windows On The Go Updater. However, you may need to update the registry keys(this registry key edit requires when the updater doesn't recognize the device and return an error message). The updater installs the very first Windows 10 version. So you may need to run the updater several times.

Lumia 520 I tried doing what you did twice - it gets sad face mid update and I had to use recovery tools twice to recover the phone than upgrade to gdr2 than to Universal update do you know how to fix this?

Congrats on 1k! Does this even work on a 800 as it is definitely capable. Also is that a 430! They are so hard to find!

@WindOS Fone Is there any possibility that we can get Windows Mobile or WOA on a 800 as I do not think they use UEFI. As they are based off the CE kernel it probably uses hardcoded firmware to boot instead.

You have to download the offline update packages yourself from the video description

Only Version 2.3.2 works, other versions have zip-files with an executable, which closes right after starting... lumia 930 fails updating

Hello dear, I have downloaded the offline packages. I have also installed the vcredit files as illustrated in the video. But I have one problem, when I open the updater it does not bring in the dialog box where I can select the folder containing my offline packages. Please help me. You need to update your Lumia 1020 to GDR1 (not just any 8.1) then you can use this guide. It worked on mine. Should work on yours too.

@@WindOSFone10 same thing happened to me. My newly bought refurbished Nokia 1020 has been put to death because of the Universal Updater. Now it won't function well. Just the Nokia logo and the sad face. I've also tried the WDRT but didn't work. PLease help. I literally have not even used the phone for hours and now it's useless.

Hi Fadil, the video is great and very helpful. I have a problem updating my Lumia 920. In the middle of the first update being done, I got a sad face emoji ":-(" on my screen. Rebooting it shows the gears turning and then sad face again. Are you able to help or is this bricked now?

Well it means your Lumia is bricked
So use windows device recovery tool to get the os back
Same thing happened to me trying to update Lumia 925 which i updated first to Win 8.1.14 so i can go to Win 10 v10586.107
Updated first to Win 8.1.14 when as expected. but going to Win 10 v10586.107 copied every thing and started to update bar in the settings. but after it restarts i see :-( and it then shuts down. i guess i will revert to Win 8.1.14. or GUD2. unless someone can help.

If you have Windows Phone 8.0, it will not work. Having Windows Phone 8.1 will allow this, but if you are updating from Windows Phone 8.0 to 8.1, this will also not work. Hope that helps.

Is there any problem with universal updater, when trying to download file it only downloads read me file, and nothing else.. it's only 0.9kb file.. no exe or so...
