- Street Outlaws star Jeff Lutz brought his Pro Mod Camaro "Mad Max" in to figure out which issues may have been going on after Sick Week came to an early conclusion for him. We got him set up on the Hub Dyno, and after a few passes we were able to help diagnose the issue with guidance from Anderson Dick, Luis De Leon, and team. Talk about impressive... These people at fuel tech are absolutely the type of people you want to be paying for this shit!! Worth every penny!! As a software engineer and gear head, I find this absolutely intriguing watching their troubleshooting skills and working together as a team to find a solution.
No yelling, no finger pointing, no crying. Just a group of highly intelligent people putting solving the problem above themselves and their ego's...

One of the things about Lutz that I appreciate is the fact that he is willing to admit when he needs help.
Jeff is always takin’ in all the knowledge he can, and knows to delegate to the experts. Sets him apart from the shit talkers.

Yes he knew there was a problem he did not understand and where to go to get help to get it sorted. These Brazilians are impressive!
More men need to take notes from Jeff. So many of us could/would do better in life if we humble ourselves&admit we NEED help from other’s. There’s never any shame in asking/seeking help in life! Weather it be for a race car or a marriage...we’d all do better if we just seek the help we need🙏🏽🤙🏽

I can say this,, it is ALWAYS FUN to listen to Luis verbalize what's going on in his head,, he walks us thru it - step by step - how his mind works to solve the issue and then direct what is needed to achieve resolution.
Hub dyno is the only way to go. Very professional shop.

Urked? @selPerformance What I saw was Luis simply going about his regular routine (on a mission) to diagnose, find and eliminating the issue(s), one step at a time...
He narrowed in on the problem with a good faulty finding strategy and a complete understanding of the system.
WHAT A REAL TREAT, watching Lutz Jr. learning some tech tips from other tuners. He always works hard for the family team. His good work allows his Father to SHINE like a diamond 💎. Great job Team Lutz! Anyway, thanks for the video 📸.

Fuel tech makes me think theyre the next Holley. Just dominating the market with the product and the quality of that product.
As much as I love Holley (I have tuned 50+ Holley EFI on Motorcycles so far), I am *thankfully* confident that FuelTech won't try to become a huge corporation (trying to dominate the "PARTS supply market") like Holley is doing...
Congrats to Jeff and FuelTech for getting it all sorted out... Very impressive... Since I'm NOT Jeff Lutz, I'm wondering what that many days cost... Jeff is gonna be tough if he can get it to hook up.. Such a Top Notch build...

Ive never seen a car pull the front tires while on a dyno. If there were no straps on the front end at all we would be watching mad max turned upside down and on its lid in under a second.
That was just awesome but now have to wait to see him on a track at a drag and drive event I can hardly wait.

This was such a good watch. Love to see problems (not that I want Jeff Lutz to have problems, he's one of my favourite racers), and love to see them get solved! Fueltech are just an amazing bunch!
The behind the scenes talking is absolutely amazing! I love it. Listening to Jeff talk about how and what he had to do to convert the car to street trim and now how much easier it is. This is why FuelTech can charge whatever price they want for parts and tuning. Because they get shit done and done the right way! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 💪🏼

With the tire shake those big tire cars were having on those glued Radial prep tracks at sick week it’s not really surprising that they broke something, I’m glad that they were able to work together and fix it

Another thing just watch around your shop, when they're redoing the roads are on there. If they're milling up the asshole, grinding it up whatever a lot of times they look for places to dump at that are close. If you see any guys doing that close by you, go ask the Foreman to dump it at your place. And that stuff is great for making driveways and parking lots. And especially it's free , it's awesome

hey guys sorry for my ignorance, can you explain to me "sneezing at the intake"? is this a safety instance where the gates and bov's open with an ignition cut during safety parameters?
The engine was shutting off so all of the boost was coming back out the turbo inlets

I'm curious also. If you seen the PFI speed video with Lutz and the GTO, they also mentioned a primary/secondary injector issue.
Injector bank was cutting out

Trying to find enough power to beat the actual street car that embarrassed him.
Taking nothing away from Bret, his car is amazing and refinened to the fullest, but you can't say its embarrassing to get beat by a car that has 100's of laps when you built a car in a week and showed up untested...
I have always preferred underdogs (Ford vs Chevy, Kawasaki vs Suzuki) and I think what Bret accomplished is *awesome* but, pretty much
all of the "Large Slicks" cars had issues launching on the "Radial Prepped" tracks = if it was the other way around (tracks not radial prepped)
there would have been "more than one 5-second cars" and there's no way Brett would have gone as quick as he did...

Yup! 50 to 60 runs & you throw it all away! Lutz has been running those same engines for over 10yrs! He probably has less in the big blocks, then what your boy has tied up in one ford engine 🙄🙄🙄🙄! Lutz also still has small old 88s on it! It also makes way more power than what was shown!
