so far I'm very happy with it, pipe its very well built, it looks good under the hood, and it sounds great, when i first changed the pipe first impression was "damn this thing is loud" with a huge smile on my face, that was me driving pretty aggressive with the windows down, then under normal driving around town(around 45mph) i wasn't to sure if i liked to be that loud, I guess i was just used to the car being so quiet, after a few weeks I've gotten used to it doesn't sound that loud at all but it does sound more aggressive which i like. now at highway speeds in 6th gear it sounds close to stock on sport mode. I did turn off the soundaktor with an obdeleven, with the new pipe the speaker would make a lot of crakling noises when driving it hard, now sounds much better. What would i recommend? I guess it depends on what kind of driver you are, if you drive on sport mode 90% of the time the none resonated would be totally fine, but if you drive mostly on normal mode or you ride with your family a lot I would just get the resonated one, either way the design of this pipe makes it real easy to change that section of the pipe, that's one of the reasons i got it if i ever get tired of the noise I can just add a resonator. Here is a clip of a guy that has the resonated version ruclips.net/video/cdYkU0rlV4Y/видео.html . Hope this helps
thebeastmedina Thanks for all info. It will really help me make a decision on the downpipe that I buy. This is my first GTI so I have a lot to learn still. It really helps having helpful guys like you posting videos and answering questions.
Looking to essentially do this setup on my 19 GLI. Not many people realize how good they sound with the stock cat back!
it'll drone
@@c0Ld music to my ears
You should get a stage 2 tune .. and a DSG tune if you’re running a downpipe for your GTi . It’ll run better and last longer
I went stage 2(eurodyne) when I changed the down pipe, then I later changed my clutch to a stage 2 endurance by South Bend.
thebeastmedina south bend clutch ftw👍🏼👌🏼
Do you still have your muffler?
would you know if this downpipes fits the new 2018 mk7.5,?

Is this the resonated downpipe?
John Mark its not resonated.its just the single cat version.
