One of the first country videos: “Tall, Dark Stranger” 1969. Excellent!

Thanks for posting these. Buck Owens Crystal Palace should be ashamed for not releasing these. A horrid disgrace. Soon they will be lost to time if not posted.

Would you happen to have the episode that aired on Mar 25 i cant remember if it was 1972 my 5th Birthday or 1973 my 6th.
Anyway I wrote Buck a letter and asked if he would sing 3 songs on his show. Wrote it in February with my Moms help. Explained that it was my birthday coming up.
Anyway he sang all 3 songs I had asked. A few months earlier we had tickets to see him live but he canceled the show due to getting robbed the previous show in Dayton Ohio.
Sadly Buck years later passed on my birthday Mar 25.
The only song that I can remember requesting of the 3 was Rolling in my sweet babies arms. I was young and didn’t know I requested a song he didn’t write. As a kid I thought if they sung it they wrote it.
He never did come back to my area so I never got to see him play live.
