The Beatles knew Buck and the Buckeroos were major competition for the American market having honed familiar and tight compositions as they had, though the public were generally unaware of that aspect of the music industry. These episodes are quite the treasure among television programs of its time.
Beatles were all big fans of buck & buckaroos.. Ken Nelson Buck's producer said in a interview that they sent the Beatles buck's recording sessions ... Buck and Don especially loved the Beatles... Cool stuff
For sure he did, but I haven't seen it yet on RUclips and don't know if that episode survived. I remember it clearly because I liked that song and when they featured it on the show, it was the recording (although possibly they played it live)...backing a film depicting a stylized story of the song. Buck was doing MTV stuff in the 1960's!
I’ve been watching Buck a long time. This is the first time I’ve ever seen him really showcase his guitar skills other than cowboy chords. I like it.
He taught Don Rich to play the Telecaster.

Lots of people don’t know that Buck was a studio session player.
I am delighted to see an Asian on a country themed sixties era show.
These are incredible. Did Buck ever do ‘Tall dark stranger’ on the show?

He did it on He Haw years later
