Beim 2.Song von Waylon Jennings lausche ich gebannt dieser Stimme. Als es plötzlich endet bin ich ganz enttäuscht. Dieses Tremolo kann nicht jeder, ist was besonderes.

I got to Nashville in 1991, when the wave of 'neotraditional' country was just at it's end. Just before the change happened and country music mostly turned into pop trash. I don't like much of anything that's come out of Nashville since 1991. Thankfully got to see some of the real Nashville back then. The Opry show especially.

I still enjoyed the music.

Mundo was a friend of mine (and golfing buddy) which for Mundo included a Boombox and Ice chest full of beer if we could swing it. I remember one night after a concert / dance in Fort Clark Springs Texas ... we sat on Las Morris Creek listening to music ... doing a little picking and then he had the idea to show how good he was at making Lasagna ... we went over to his grandmother's place and there he was drunk and making Lasagna at 4:30am ... RIP old friend.

The country music event of the year is definitely all these vintage Porter Wagoner Shows being uncovered. I don't think even RFD-TV had the complete first season available. Should have had Norma Jean sing that Cardui tablet jingle.

I met Billy Walker at a concert at Johnny Russell Day at Moorhead, MS. I TOLD HIM I WATCHED HIM WHEN HE DID THE COUNTRY CARNIVAL AND HE SAID HE MUST’VE BEEN A LITTLE BOY. HE WAS ONE OF THE NICEST GENTLEMAN I’VE EVER MET AND IT WAS A SAD DAY FOR US AND COUNTRY MUSIC WHEN HE WAS TRAGICALLY KILLED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT. I feel he should be in the country music Hall of Fame.
