yeah masstuning did the same thing to me. I got a pompous middle aged dude micromanaging how I drive when I first started. It's really them trying to teach you about being safe and "optimal lines" to teach you. But driving fast is not something that can be taught to some people. It's mostly a feeling with trial and error. I got 1 instructor who said "ok let's go" and I said "you aren't going to tell me what to do?" He said no just go do your thing and that will tell me what type of driver you are. spun out made mistakes but It was fast. Ignore them and do what you want. I certainly wasn't there to go slow
