    Hey mate-, I would like to know the material list for each section of the car. Could you let me know what products (paint) you used?

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  6 месяцев назад

      For paint I really only use two brands, Tamiya or Vallejo. For the Tamiya paints, I use their primer always, and then colors I use their Acrylic line. Easy to find, easy to clean, easy to use. Vallejo come in a lot of decent colors that Tamiya doesn't offer but they are a little more effort to clean up. I use their Air line including their metalics. I clear coat using Mr. Hobbies Mr. Super Clear. I buy all my supplies from Sunward hobbies in Ontario. They have free shipping to both Canada and the US and have a great selection of products to choose from.

    Great build! Excellent talent!
    I'm fairly new to the hobby. I think you used Tamiya cement to glue the steering wheel to the dashboard without scraping any paint?? How does it work??
    Sorry for the rookie question. Thanks for sharing!

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  Год назад +1

      No worried about the question, it is the only way we learn so all questions are good questions.
      I did use Tamiya cement. It is recommend that you scrape the paint to make a better bond, this is true. For me I tend to use fairly thin layers of paint when I airbrush and so the glue still dissolves the paint along with the plastic to create a bond. If you scrape the paint it will always make a better bond but even with the paint it does work somewhat. This does not work the same with chrome tho, you do need to scrape the chrome away or it will not create a bond. Hope that helps.

    Hey man love your work but I'm a new comer to the replica car building scene and have bought the exact same car as you and was wondering do I need to repaint everything and have to use those tools for lines and all as I don't have any equipment like that avaliable and the money to buy them?

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  10 месяцев назад

      Building models is about enjoying the hobby. Do what you can do with the tools and items you have on hand and explore other inexpensive options if you can find them. There is no right or wrong way of doing it, just ways you can imporove your own work with time, testing and experience. Aoshmia kits can be built with minimal paint applications but there are some basic colors you should get like black and silver so you can add some details.

    Great Build 😄 I like the color of the muffler. What paint have you used for that?

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  Год назад +1

      The exhaust came all chrome in the kit. There are actually several exhaust choices with this kit. I just use some of the Tamiya clear blue on the tip and a few other spots. I need to work on my exhaust work. 😅😅

      it is totally possible they are slightly tilted. Models sometimes don't go together quite as clean as we would like them to. haha.

    Can someone give me a list of the tools and shades of paint he used? I just bought this kit recently and im rewally new to this 😅 Thanks in advance!

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  Месяц назад

      No problem. I know starting out can be very intimidating and leave you just asking yourself where to even begin.
      Basic tools I have on hand are: Cutting blade (exacto knife) but you can use a scalpel or any other sharp blade that can be handled in one hand. Sprue cutters, similar to wire cutters but have one flat side so when you cut it leaves a sort of flat surface. Tweezers for handling the small parts. Various sandpapers to work the surfaces.
      For paint I would have used Tamiya acrylics. They are super easy to use and clean. I use an airbrush which can be a little more advanced and is a fairly big expense to start off with. Tamiya offer cans of hobby paint that are perfect for building model cars. I would have used mostly basic colors such as yellow, silver, black, semi-gloss black and clear red and orange.
      For more detail on how to do the actual work I would suggest checking out a channel like Scale Model Experiment that has plenty of in depth tutorials on how to do certain things from sanding and painting to decals to bare metal foil and so on. Building models can be very rewarding but like anything, it takes practice and repitition to get good at it! Good luck with your build!

      @@ScaleAutoGaragethank you so much bro! You really helped me a lot. You earned a subscriber
      Edit:
      ONE LAST QUESTION
      Do you think it would still look good without buying any paint other than black(excluding keisuke)? I just think that some of it is unnecessary and I only plan on maybe doing just this one so I feel like the paint would go to waste

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  Месяц назад +1

      @@b-barbosamarco829 this kit would not be bad if you didn’t paint the yellow. It can be built with just some black paint and doing some of the details but just know that the plastic body won’t look like a die cast version if it is not painted. The plastic does look pretty good and can even look better if you sanded it and glossed the bare plastic but straight from the box, it may not look quite just right. Either way, the point of the model is to have fun with it. Enjoy the process. If you just want to paint the black parts then you should just paint the black parts. It will look fine and you will have the pride of an accomplishment. Good luck with your build. Feel free to share photos when you are done on my FB page or on Instagram! Would love to see the finished piece.

    3:15 how did you put that part did you glue it or not

    • @ScaleAutoGarage
      @ScaleAutoGarage  Год назад

      Yes, I use glue, usually a Tamiya liquid cement but occassionally I will use a bob smith super gold plus superglue as needed.
      If you are asking about the wheel hub specificly, no, you don't glue this part in place so that when it is complete you can move the steering from side to side.
