I love that retro 80s box art look. Excellent build. That engine bay turned out really slick. Thank you as always for sharing your hard work with us. I learn something new from every video.

I was really impressed with the engine bay part of this kit as well. It came with a lot of great parts and was super detailed.

Thanks! This one was pretty unique with how the chassis intergrated with the body and I am grateful for the experience.

I'm a fan of Corvettes, always good build, so will have to build a Monogram Barbie Silver Vette, it's a Barbie movie now.

Great video and build!, i built the same kit last year except in blue and for something different i separated the windshield from the roof for a targa look and for the front lights i used the ribbed top off a busted CD case, painted with a little clear orange and it looked much more realistic.

I was considering the Targa look but opted for the full roof in the end. I like your idea on the front lenses, that is pretty brilliant actually. I will have to keep that in mind for future. Appreciate the tip!!!

@@ScaleAutoGarage if you do build one with the targa roof use the convertible windshield and visor. The visor is to small to fit on the zr1 windshield.

So...did you clear coat all the parts after painting and before assembly????

Only the red body parts were done in a gloss clear.

Very cool! What paint did you use for the red?

I used Tamiya TS8 Italian Red for the paint on this one.
