It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
A company not having their prices listed on their website is the quickest way for me to write off ever considering buying one of their products. If I can't configure and price it out online to compare it to my other options then I'll just move on. It also implies that their prices are so high they know you'd instantly be turned off without some rep selling you on why you want to take a second mortgage out on your home to afford their product.
Yep. It's 2019 and most people including me just want to click and buy. People complain about Rouge being expensive at least they list prices and you can configure it to your liking.
100% agree. I immediately leave sites I cant price compare on, and I'm a potential customer who has spent thousands on his garage gym and not afraid to spend more. It's very offputting.

We purchased this rack. The rack is phenomenal and meets all of our needs; the footprint is excellent and the cabling allows us to do virtually any movement that we can conceive. The sales team and the company’s customer, however, are pretty terrible. The team told us that rack would ship 95% assembled, but then they contacted us literally 2 days before the rack arrived and informed us that the rack was shipped only 70% percent assembled. We guess that they saved some money on shipping by changing things up; The problem is that we had already paid them for a product that was 95% assembled. When we informed the sales that we felt Prime’s change was an effective upcharge (similar to airlines putting more seats on a plane and charging the same price), the sales manager didn’t listen to us at all. In fact, the sales manager tried to tell us how to we should feel about what their company had done! Completely infuriating! We had to fight to get a 200 dollar rebate to cover the additional costs associated with the additional assembly. Dealing with them was as bad as dealing with a shady used car salesperson. SUMMARY: Great Machine, Terrible Sales Staff and Horrific Customer Service. Go with Rouge or Sorinex that have a more standardized customer pipeline. It may be worthwhile to purchase the attachments (their rotate “RO-T8” line and their KAZ handles are unique and very nice) and then use those attachments on some other rack of your choice.
Pretty cool idea with the quick weight change for the lat/pull down. Takes the best quality from weight stacks (The quick weight change) and combines it with plates 👍
Awesome Review Coop but Id have to add that the machine itself can do many more things than you showed in your video (depending on how creative you are and what muscles you need to isolate) Considering the amount of versatility and attachments etc. I would say 5-6k for a piece that will do what more than 4 pieces of equipment can do in a space saving version with prime quality id likely invest in the selectorized version for a garage or pt studio. Thanks for the honest review, definitely helps those of us on the fence.
Of course it can. There wouldn't be enough time in a video to show everything a functional trainer, lat pulldown, or squat rack could do. I'm constantly coming up with new things to do on it, pretty fun!
This rack is awesome. If you have alot of $$$ and want an all-in-one rack/lat pulldown, seated row, functional trainer and dont want to take up a ton of space in your house this is a good option.

I am thinking to go with this Prime rack selectorised or plate loaded with most attachments or just get a normal rack and a Keiser pneumatic cable machine as it doesn’t take too much room up in my garage. Nicely done for covering various kinds of racks. Have you ever consider to do a contrasting review between those racks from famous cross-fit equipment brands and those from more traditional fitness brands, say rogue rack V.S hammer strength rack?
Okay, so this is definitely a unique solution to the square footage issue many of us face... but at that price point? From what your review it is obviously a premium product, but like you said, they seem to have missed a few pretty standard features of the 'premium' product market place ie. laser cut numbers, j-cups that protect your bar, 4-hole posts, westside hole spacing etc. So my question is, if someone was going to go to rogue or sorinex for their rack... because they seem to be the 'gold standard' for this sort of thing, whose functional trainer is best paired with that level of quality?

I like how they combine a functional trainer with a squat rack. Space saving area for doing all exercises. Expensive but consider one piece of equipment that does it all and made in USA is a winner. Hammer Strength need to compete and do this too.
Interesting product, but it's not for me. It's a step in the right direction for the home gym community, but I'll stick with a nicer, separate rack and a stand alone functional trainer. So far, when the two pieces are combined, neither performs that well.
BigGary79 Exactly what I was thinking. Get a Rogue power rack, barbell, weights, and a Bodycraft HFT (functional trainer) with two 200 pound stacks and you are still under $4,000. And if you ever need to sell, it’ll be easier.
I don't know. I am rethinking my RM-6 order. But then again, I like the idea of having something I know will last forever without all the moving parts. The only thing I like from this rack that is missing from the RM-6, is the cables. But I also like the idea of having that separate in case it ever needs maintenance. I think I just answered my own question lol.
The garage gym community needs a way to retrofit a functional trainer style cable system onto a standard power rack. There are pulley+cable systems from Spud and others but they just don’t cut it for the application this rack is addressing.
Emory Redd I’ve been saying this for a while as well. If someone can come up with a flexible attachment to convert a power rack into a functional trainer seamlessly they could be very successful. My brother is a mechanical engineer and we’ve actually been entertaining coming up and building the concept .
Coop, please please answer this one! I’ve really been trying to find a foot plate for the Rep Ares since it’s low row option feels awkward. Trying to do rows on the front uprights but am debating whether the primefitnessusa’s low row foot plate attachment would fit on the pr-5000 uprights since it’s got 2’ hole spacing.
Basically needs to be black, have 4-side holes on the upright, longer lower feet for banded pulls, uhmw j-cups. Laser cut numbering, and taller. There’s a lot you missed out on mentioning too like width and how you need 2x more plates for even weight distribution on the plate loaded version

Clint Helget Hey, so I’ve since taken the chance on the low row and lat seat attachments and I can tell you they fit. The low row attachment has a more loose tolerance than the seat, so it’s pretty tight; but they both work.
Do the pulleys feel unsmooth to any other owners? Compared to the pulley systems at my local commercial gym, this pulley system feels really rough in comparison

Generally, I'm wary of jack of all trades setups. Not just in fitness equipment but in just about everything. Hypocritical since in my career I've basically been a jack of all trades-master of none in my field, but I digress. These kinds of setups concern me that they're not great at any part of it but rather decent to good at all off it. I agree, something like this is good for the home gym community. But, I'm more inclined to get a squat rack and a functional trainer separately and utilize what each does best. Not sure how much more or less expensive that approach would be compared to this though.
Granted this comment is 2 years old... but I'm dropping my two cents. When I started putting money in my garage gym setup - this prime fitness rack didn't exist. Since then I've spent about $5000 on a rogue rack + attachments and a HOIST fitness high-mid-low pulley machine/"home gym." Toss in the rogue monster bench w/fat pad and the HOIST adjustable bench with attachments+attachment stand.... probably like $6000-7000. Throw in the weight plates, barbells/ specialty bars, storage shelves, cable handle attachments, and adjustable dumbbells.... in the 3.5-4 years I've been lifting (again.... after a 9 year "bulk phase") I'd say I've probably spent $8-9,000 on my gym setup. Had this rack (I'd get the selectorized version.... despite how cool it is the plate loaded version can change the pulley ratio) existed late 2017/ early 2018...... I would've saved a little longer and drop the $5500 for the selectorized version of this rack and the extra $1250 on attachments I'd want that I've pretty much bought for my current rack. That's $6750 to pretty much replace everything I've bought to date (aside from barbells and Olympic weight plates for obvious reasons). Meaning you'd be spending the same amount if you buy individual pieces of equipment that can do all the things this ONE piece of equipment can do. I fail to see how this can be a "Jack of all trades master at none" piece of equipment. Let's start with a half rack. Power racks - full or half - aren't exactly complicated pieces of equipment. The same gauge steel is used on this rack as the other top brands. So the half rack capability of this thing will be on par with other top manufacturers half racks. It's literally just uprights with holes for j hooks and spotter arms - not that complicated. A 6 day a week lifter can likely easily get by with something bought at dicks sporting goods. I think they carry "ethos" racks.... used to carry fitness gear equipment. I mean when I started getting back into lifting consistently I built a more than suitable power rack out of wood and that suited me fine for a year+. Next machine replacement this thing does is a functional trainer. While more complicated than a rack..... they're really not that all complicated either. While coop keeps saying this rack is "short".... it's listed as 92" tall. That's taller than the 90" rogue monster light rack I currently own. It's plenty high. And compared to SOLELY only a functional trainer machine out there you'll be VERY hard pressed to find one listed at over 86". While the 92" on this thing is the very top of the fixed pulley the height the adjustable pulleys can go on this thing will most certainly be able to go higher than I'd say about 80-90% functional trainers - only - out there. I'd say the average height of a functional trainer sold today is maybe about 84".... 7 feet. Give or TAKE 2 inches. But the pulleys rarely go even close to that listed height. Usually almost a foot lower than the listed height. Like look at the rep fitnes functional trainer. Those pulleys max height look like they're at LEAST a foot lower than the listed height. Why does this matter? Higher the pulleys can go.... the taller the user can be and/ the better stretch and true full range if motion will be felt. Also.... may allow you to do more exercises. Certainly will allow you to truly do high pulley chest flys to torch your lower chest. Whereas a typical functional trainer will maybe go as high as.... 6'.... maybe 6.5' if you're lucky. Sure you can accomplish high pulley low chest fly movement on those.... but the higher the pulley the better the engagement will be. And if you can find a dedicated functional trainer that can get the adjustable pulley up to 7-7.5 feet..... you're likely going to be spending $3500-4000. Hell. The precor fts glide functional trainer retails for $4000+ and is only like 86" tall overall..... and with only like 200 lb stacks. Which brings me to another point. YOU WILL NOT FIND a functional trainer with weight stacks much more than 220 lbs. If you do you've found a unicorn of a functional trainer. The selectorized version of this rack..... dual THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY pound stacks. I can go on with how I think this functional trainer aspect of this rack is far superior than the average if not slightly above average dedicated functional trainers out there..... but I got to get to the THIRD piece if equipment this rack replaces. A high-low pulley machine. The fixed high pulley is at a 1:1 ratio. Nuff said right there. IMO that pretty much makes it better than most machines as they'll be 2:1. You'll be able to find dedicated high-low pulley machines with a 1:1 ratio..... but be prepared to spend $2000-2500. For a fucking fixed pulley and cable machine. Why they cost so friggin much I'll never understand. Even then..... to find one and at that steep price..... I bet it doesn't have a 350 lb weight stack to go with it. Rogue's high-low pulley machine I think costs over 3 grand..... and comes with a 300 lb stack. Yeah. $3200 for rogue's high-low pulley machine. Save another 2300 and you can get that and a half rack and (imo.... one of the best - at least looking and on paper) functional trainer. Sure, the low pulley capability of the selectorized version of this rack will be accomplished by the adjustable pulley and therefore at a 2:1 ratio meaning you'll only be maxing out at 175 lbs on low cable rows.... but that's pretty decent for most people. You can't win them all. Low rows is probably the only compromise you'll have to make with this rack imo. That and maybe using a half rack if you're used to only using a full rack. Can still do everything on a half rack you do on a full rack.... and I'd say maybe a full rack is better..... but a half rack is more than enough for most lifters, even insanely competitive/ obsessed lifters. I'd rather lift on a half rack than say a claustrophobic 30" spacing full rack. I feel like I never have enough room in those - even though I do. It's a mental thing. Bottom line, in appearance and on paper.... and in the limited review videos out there, these prodigy racks look fucking legit. Oh..... and then there's the thing that it replaces 3 machines/ structures that IMO are a MUST in any home gym in a footprint SMALLER than my rogue RML-690 rack. Bottom line..... I'm in the process of ordering the selectorized version of this rack as we speak. The lead time is 10 weeks so I got time to still use but eventually sell my current equipment but come labor day or so this year this rack will essentially replace everything I own and do a more than adequate job in doing so I think..... and open up a massive amount of floor space in my garage for activities. And by activities I mean more equipment that used to be deemed a luxury. Like a dedicated leg press machine or belt squat platform. Or maybe a hammer strength chest press machine. Or a seated calf raise machine. Or maybe I'll graduate to a full dumbbell set (10-125 lbs) and rack setup instead of using adjustable dumbbells..... or maybe not seeing as a functional trainer kind of makes dumbbells - pointless. This rack..... is what I've pictured in my head as the ideal rack way back when I was lifting regularly in my early 20s.... before my 9 year bulk phase, Haha. I'm just shocked it took until 2019 for someone to make it and apparently...... apparently perfect it like prime has. I want this (selectorized) rack....... I'm BUYING this rack. The space saving alone makes it worth it. Sticker price for a rogue monster lite half rack is $1200. Their fixed high low pulley machine is again a dumbfounding $3200. And as for a functional trainer..... you're going to spend at LEAST $2500 on one...... with maybe 200 lb stacks (likely 150 or 165 lb stacks.... which is pathetic). That's 6900 bucks right there.... with 0 attachments for the rack, 0 handles for the cable machines.... and not including shipping and tax. The prime selectorized version I'm going to buy will be in addition to buying the weight plate storage pegs, dip attachment, step up platform (I currently use a wooden box I made), the pulldown seat, the low row attachment, and prime's RO-T8 bar handle accessory bundle they have on sale for $325. All that will run me $7075 before shipping and tax. Still waiting on prime's estimate for shipping. Tax will be around $470. I'm thinking $530 for shipping adding an even $1000 to the sticker price. So...... just over $8000. Since rogue doesn't have a functional trainer, their single stack adjustable pulley column costs $2500.... typical cost of a low tier functional trainer. Half rack from them plus spotter arms will cost $1375. Their high- low pulley machine as mentioned is a dumbfounding $3200. Toss all this into the cart.... add tax and shipping and it'll cost me.......juuuuust under $7900. That's with no weight storage pegs, dip attachment, step up platform. Point being you'll be paying the same price through rogue to get everything this one machine costs...... and with the single stack imo being lesser than a functional trainer...... I'd say prime's setup is better. So loooong story short - prime has this thing priced on the money...... if not UNDERpriced by a few hundred dollars. I personally can't wait to get mine. I've been due for an upgrade and I see this rack as most definitely an upgrade. The fact I'll have shit to sell to make room for this I think I can make about $3000 off my HOIST machine and RML-690 with attachments. Meaning this selectorized prime rack will effectively "only" cost me $5000. Less than what Rogue's new MONSTER CAVE will cost you and imo looks far inferior to this prime fitness rack option.
I would like a 1 to 1 ratio. What turned me off these are that they come with 150 lb weight but you are only lifting 75 lb so you then have to get another set of weights . I went with the V03 impulse series lat pulldown/row machine for cable work 1 to 1 ratio, then free weights and Vo3 XFIT squat rack witch I also use for bench press. then a Iron Man for dips and pull ups all for much less money than I would have paid for 1 of those cable machines and I can go from one work to the other with out having to change every thing around. Plus I can fit it in a room and hall so I don not need a large room . I set up for upper body one day then legs and guts the next. and I have a extra bench for dumbbell work. On the V03 impulse you put 100 lb on and that is what your lifting not 50 lb. On a 1 to 1 ratio you pull 24 " and the weigh moves 24 " where as on the 1 to 2 you pull 24" and the weight only moves 12" It is one way to make you have to buy a second weight stack.
For $6000 I could buy a FULL Rogue Rack, a Hoist Functional Trainer, and an Elite FTS Lat Pulldown/Low Row. It'd all be nicer. I could have multiple people working out, but it'd take up more space...true
There is an extension you can buy to get the pull up bar higher. I think they keep the stouter frame so that more folks can fit it in their garage or home, but they have a number of useful accessories.
They’re the best. I’ve bought almost $1000 worth of just handles and attachments... 3 kinds of prime handles (kaz, regular prime handles and a 4n1 bar), 2 different sized adjustable bars( short and long bars) & 2 different size squat wedges (10 and 20 degree) and all of them are game changers for what they do.
I wish I got this instead of the force usa g6. Forceusa uses thin metal and the attachments are cheap aside from the legpress attachment which is absolutely well done.. Think marcy quality because I've done some digging and they have to come from the same Chinese manufacturer. I don't have anything against marcy because its priced what it should be and forceusa is not . I can see why you never reviewed force usa the quality for the price is not met. And the prime prodigy rack is not that much more expensive.
I was quoted $4,850.00 (base unit) with the plate loadable rack, I will look around for cheaper options without suffering too much on quality and flexibility. The footprint is also pretty big being 62” L x 75” W x 92 H. Nothing on rated weight capacity which would be nice to know for comparison to other machines, especially cheaper ones.
It really seems they are split of which market they are trying to go for. With the contact sales rep for price, you already know that for a home user, you would probably be better off with rouge rack and buying a plate loaded cable machine. So realistically, this is for commercial gym owners. As for a choice in that scenario, sure. This rack is a lot better than those trash half racks that they usually buy. But good luck getting to the clueless person who is spending the money in that scenario. Because I'm not so sure that a knowledgable gym owner would even buy it vs an elitefts and a duo cable machine.

I like the idea of having everything up against one wall in a smaller footprint to free-up space in the rest of the garage) and wonder how the heck someone is supposed to load plates onto the barbell... if there is a bar in the j-cups, it looks as though you have to contort yourself around it to reach the wall mounted plate storage

I'm not loving it. Too much of a FrankenMachine for my taste. I would hate all the little parts and adjustments. I assume there are color options but that high gloss green looks cheap too. That clear coat Sorinex next to you would win out every time for me. Lets see a review on the Pooch!
"Its a short rack.... you won't get a full stretch..." it's a 92" rack.... the fixed pulley is literally at the very top of the machine so lets say where it attaches to a handle is like 89-90". How friggin tall are you to the point you couldn't get a full stretch on a lat pulldown? I have a "home gym" machine from hoist fitness. I got it 3 years ago used mainly for the high-mid- and low pulley attachments.... it also has a leg extension/ standing leg curl pad and bench press handles.... that thing fits under my garage door tracks and my garage door is your standard 7 foot door.... so it's not even 84". I'm 5'10".... but have comically short legs and long arms. I get a full stretch when I do pull downs on that thing. Adding another 10" I'd think would accommodate someone.... 10" taller than me. So.... someone 6'8". At the very least 6'6". CERTAINLY anyone under 6'. If you're talking pull ups.... bend your knees slightly. I'd rather have a pull up bar I don't have to jump up to to reach and grab anyways like is the case on my 90" RML-690 rack's pull up bar. To me it's the perfect height because I can grab it standing on my tip toes so after doing 10-12 pull ups I can "cheat" at the bottom by just pointing my toes down and taking mini rests as I hang. I'd also recommend to people if their pull up bar is a hair too low to actually NOT bend their knees putting their feet behind them but instead keep them locked out and just raise your feet forward by bending at the hip. Like the fist 1/16th of the range of motion when doing leg raises on a pull up bar. Flexing everything and keeping your legs straight makes pull ups a lot more doable. Just a tip for beginners. Flex every muscle in your body and hold it while doing pullups. You'll go from doing 0 to 5... to 10... to 10+ in no time. My biggest pain, literally, when doing them is my knurled socket pullup bar eating the shit out of my hands. I know coop loves his knurling but I'd say.... go for a smooth pull up bar. That is if you like having skin on your hands and don't like having your calluses ripped off. Hanging from a knurled bar for 30-45 seconds straight while doing a set of pullups is more murder on my hands than when I do sets of 2 rep deadlifts at 500 lbs. I can easily hold a 500 lb deadlift and just stand there for 10 seconds more easily than i can dangle my 205 lb ass off a knurled bar for 30-45 seconds. I don't get it either.

SUMMARY: Great Machine, Terrible Sales Staff and Horrific Customer Service. Go with Rouge or Sorinex that have a more standardized customer pipeline. It may be worthwhile to purchase the attachments (their rotate “RO-T8” line and their KAZ handles are unique and very nice) and then use those attachments on some other rack of your choice.
That lat pulldown seat looks amazing I haven't seen a company create anything like this Same with the seated row footplate.
I ended up buying the selectorized prodigy rack and honestly cannot wait to get it in my garage.

Awesome Review Coop but Id have to add that the machine itself can do many more things than you showed in your video (depending on how creative you are and what muscles you need to isolate) Considering the amount of versatility and attachments etc. I would say 5-6k for a piece that will do what more than 4 pieces of equipment can do in a space saving version with prime quality id likely invest in the selectorized version for a garage or pt studio. Thanks for the honest review, definitely helps those of us on the fence.

This rack is awesome. If you have alot of $$$ and want an all-in-one rack/lat pulldown, seated row, functional trainer and dont want to take up a ton of space in your house this is a good option.
I think this and the full racks are cool. Im hoping that the rogue monster 3 offers similar capabilities that I can use to expand my Monster 2.0.

Okay, so this is definitely a unique solution to the square footage issue many of us face... but at that price point? From what your review it is obviously a premium product, but like you said, they seem to have missed a few pretty standard features of the 'premium' product market place ie. laser cut numbers, j-cups that protect your bar, 4-hole posts, westside hole spacing etc.
So my question is, if someone was going to go to rogue or sorinex for their rack... because they seem to be the 'gold standard' for this sort of thing, whose functional trainer is best paired with that level of quality?

I like how they combine a functional trainer with a squat rack. Space saving area for doing all exercises. Expensive but consider one piece of equipment that does it all and made in USA is a winner. Hammer Strength need to compete and do this too.

Interesting product, but it's not for me. It's a step in the right direction for the home gym community, but I'll stick with a nicer, separate rack and a stand alone functional trainer. So far, when the two pieces are combined, neither performs that well.
BigGary79 Exactly what I was thinking. Get a Rogue power rack, barbell, weights, and a Bodycraft HFT (functional trainer) with two 200 pound stacks and you are still under $4,000. And if you ever need to sell, it’ll be easier.

I don't know. I am rethinking my RM-6 order. But then again, I like the idea of having something I know will last forever without all the moving parts. The only thing I like from this rack that is missing from the RM-6, is the cables. But I also like the idea of having that separate in case it ever needs maintenance. I think I just answered my own question lol.

The garage gym community needs a way to retrofit a functional trainer style cable system onto a standard power rack. There are pulley+cable systems from Spud and others but they just don’t cut it for the application this rack is addressing.
Emory Redd I’ve been saying this for a while as well. If someone can come up with a flexible attachment to convert a power rack into a functional trainer seamlessly they could be very successful. My brother is a mechanical engineer and we’ve actually been entertaining coming up and building the concept .

Clint Helget Hey, so I’ve since taken the chance on the low row and lat seat attachments and I can tell you they fit. The low row attachment has a more loose tolerance than the seat, so it’s pretty tight; but they both work.
Need to know if this is 3x3 with 1” holes.. meaning will these attachments fit other racks.

What the height of the rack, I want to see if it would fit in my home setup
Generally, I'm wary of jack of all trades setups. Not just in fitness equipment but in just about everything. Hypocritical since in my career I've basically been a jack of all trades-master of none in my field, but I digress. These kinds of setups concern me that they're not great at any part of it but rather decent to good at all off it. I agree, something like this is good for the home gym community. But, I'm more inclined to get a squat rack and a functional trainer separately and utilize what each does best. Not sure how much more or less expensive that approach would be compared to this though.
Granted this comment is 2 years old... but I'm dropping my two cents.
When I started putting money in my garage gym setup - this prime fitness rack didn't exist. Since then I've spent about $5000 on a rogue rack + attachments and a HOIST fitness high-mid-low pulley machine/"home gym." Toss in the rogue monster bench w/fat pad and the HOIST adjustable bench with attachments+attachment stand.... probably like $6000-7000. Throw in the weight plates, barbells/ specialty bars, storage shelves, cable handle attachments, and adjustable dumbbells.... in the 3.5-4 years I've been lifting (again.... after a 9 year "bulk phase") I'd say I've probably spent $8-9,000 on my gym setup. Had this rack (I'd get the selectorized version.... despite how cool it is the plate loaded version can change the pulley ratio) existed late 2017/ early 2018...... I would've saved a little longer and drop the $5500 for the selectorized version of this rack and the extra $1250 on attachments I'd want that I've pretty much bought for my current rack. That's $6750 to pretty much replace everything I've bought to date (aside from barbells and Olympic weight plates for obvious reasons). Meaning you'd be spending the same amount if you buy individual pieces of equipment that can do all the things this ONE piece of equipment can do.
I fail to see how this can be a "Jack of all trades master at none" piece of equipment. Let's start with a half rack. Power racks - full or half - aren't exactly complicated pieces of equipment. The same gauge steel is used on this rack as the other top brands. So the half rack capability of this thing will be on par with other top manufacturers half racks. It's literally just uprights with holes for j hooks and spotter arms - not that complicated. A 6 day a week lifter can likely easily get by with something bought at dicks sporting goods. I think they carry "ethos" racks.... used to carry fitness gear equipment. I mean when I started getting back into lifting consistently I built a more than suitable power rack out of wood and that suited me fine for a year+.
Next machine replacement this thing does is a functional trainer. While more complicated than a rack..... they're really not that all complicated either. While coop keeps saying this rack is "short".... it's listed as 92" tall. That's taller than the 90" rogue monster light rack I currently own. It's plenty high. And compared to SOLELY only a functional trainer machine out there you'll be VERY hard pressed to find one listed at over 86". While the 92" on this thing is the very top of the fixed pulley the height the adjustable pulleys can go on this thing will most certainly be able to go higher than I'd say about 80-90% functional trainers - only - out there. I'd say the average height of a functional trainer sold today is maybe about 84".... 7 feet. Give or TAKE 2 inches. But the pulleys rarely go even close to that listed height. Usually almost a foot lower than the listed height. Like look at the rep fitnes functional trainer. Those pulleys max height look like they're at LEAST a foot lower than the listed height. Why does this matter? Higher the pulleys can go.... the taller the user can be and/ the better stretch and true full range if motion will be felt. Also.... may allow you to do more exercises. Certainly will allow you to truly do high pulley chest flys to torch your lower chest. Whereas a typical functional trainer will maybe go as high as.... 6'.... maybe 6.5' if you're lucky. Sure you can accomplish high pulley low chest fly movement on those.... but the higher the pulley the better the engagement will be. And if you can find a dedicated functional trainer that can get the adjustable pulley up to 7-7.5 feet..... you're likely going to be spending $3500-4000. Hell. The precor fts glide functional trainer retails for $4000+ and is only like 86" tall overall..... and with only like 200 lb stacks. Which brings me to another point. YOU WILL NOT FIND a functional trainer with weight stacks much more than 220 lbs. If you do you've found a unicorn of a functional trainer. The selectorized version of this rack..... dual THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY pound stacks.
I can go on with how I think this functional trainer aspect of this rack is far superior than the average if not slightly above average dedicated functional trainers out there..... but I got to get to the THIRD piece if equipment this rack replaces. A high-low pulley machine. The fixed high pulley is at a 1:1 ratio. Nuff said right there. IMO that pretty much makes it better than most machines as they'll be 2:1. You'll be able to find dedicated high-low pulley machines with a 1:1 ratio..... but be prepared to spend $2000-2500. For a fucking fixed pulley and cable machine. Why they cost so friggin much I'll never understand. Even then..... to find one and at that steep price..... I bet it doesn't have a 350 lb weight stack to go with it. Rogue's high-low pulley machine I think costs over 3 grand..... and comes with a 300 lb stack. Yeah. $3200 for rogue's high-low pulley machine. Save another 2300 and you can get that and a half rack and (imo.... one of the best - at least looking and on paper) functional trainer. Sure, the low pulley capability of the selectorized version of this rack will be accomplished by the adjustable pulley and therefore at a 2:1 ratio meaning you'll only be maxing out at 175 lbs on low cable rows.... but that's pretty decent for most people. You can't win them all. Low rows is probably the only compromise you'll have to make with this rack imo. That and maybe using a half rack if you're used to only using a full rack. Can still do everything on a half rack you do on a full rack.... and I'd say maybe a full rack is better..... but a half rack is more than enough for most lifters, even insanely competitive/ obsessed lifters. I'd rather lift on a half rack than say a claustrophobic 30" spacing full rack. I feel like I never have enough room in those - even though I do. It's a mental thing.
Bottom line, in appearance and on paper.... and in the limited review videos out there, these prodigy racks look fucking legit. Oh..... and then there's the thing that it replaces 3 machines/ structures that IMO are a MUST in any home gym in a footprint SMALLER than my rogue RML-690 rack. Bottom line..... I'm in the process of ordering the selectorized version of this rack as we speak. The lead time is 10 weeks so I got time to still use but eventually sell my current equipment but come labor day or so this year this rack will essentially replace everything I own and do a more than adequate job in doing so I think..... and open up a massive amount of floor space in my garage for activities. And by activities I mean more equipment that used to be deemed a luxury. Like a dedicated leg press machine or belt squat platform. Or maybe a hammer strength chest press machine. Or a seated calf raise machine. Or maybe I'll graduate to a full dumbbell set (10-125 lbs) and rack setup instead of using adjustable dumbbells..... or maybe not seeing as a functional trainer kind of makes dumbbells - pointless. This rack..... is what I've pictured in my head as the ideal rack way back when I was lifting regularly in my early 20s.... before my 9 year bulk phase, Haha. I'm just shocked it took until 2019 for someone to make it and apparently...... apparently perfect it like prime has. I want this (selectorized) rack....... I'm BUYING this rack. The space saving alone makes it worth it. Sticker price for a rogue monster lite half rack is $1200. Their fixed high low pulley machine is again a dumbfounding $3200. And as for a functional trainer..... you're going to spend at LEAST $2500 on one...... with maybe 200 lb stacks (likely 150 or 165 lb stacks.... which is pathetic). That's 6900 bucks right there.... with 0 attachments for the rack, 0 handles for the cable machines.... and not including shipping and tax. The prime selectorized version I'm going to buy will be in addition to buying the weight plate storage pegs, dip attachment, step up platform (I currently use a wooden box I made), the pulldown seat, the low row attachment, and prime's RO-T8 bar handle accessory bundle they have on sale for $325. All that will run me $7075 before shipping and tax. Still waiting on prime's estimate for shipping. Tax will be around $470. I'm thinking $530 for shipping adding an even $1000 to the sticker price. So...... just over $8000.
Since rogue doesn't have a functional trainer, their single stack adjustable pulley column costs $2500.... typical cost of a low tier functional trainer. Half rack from them plus spotter arms will cost $1375. Their high- low pulley machine as mentioned is a dumbfounding $3200. Toss all this into the cart.... add tax and shipping and it'll cost me.......juuuuust under $7900. That's with no weight storage pegs, dip attachment, step up platform.
Point being you'll be paying the same price through rogue to get everything this one machine costs...... and with the single stack imo being lesser than a functional trainer...... I'd say prime's setup is better.
So loooong story short - prime has this thing priced on the money...... if not UNDERpriced by a few hundred dollars. I personally can't wait to get mine. I've been due for an upgrade and I see this rack as most definitely an upgrade. The fact I'll have shit to sell to make room for this I think I can make about $3000 off my HOIST machine and RML-690 with attachments. Meaning this selectorized prime rack will effectively "only" cost me $5000. Less than what Rogue's new MONSTER CAVE will cost you and imo looks far inferior to this prime fitness rack option.

what is the rack you have next to the prime? the red one?
I would like a 1 to 1 ratio. What turned me off these are that they come with 150 lb weight but you are only lifting 75 lb so you then have to get another set of weights . I went with the V03 impulse series lat pulldown/row machine for cable work 1 to 1 ratio, then free weights and Vo3 XFIT squat rack witch I also use for bench press. then a Iron Man for dips and pull ups all for much less money than I would have paid for 1 of those cable machines and I can go from one work to the other with out having to change every thing around. Plus I can fit it in a room and hall so I don not need a large room . I set up for upper body one day then legs and guts the next. and I have a extra bench for dumbbell work. On the V03 impulse you put 100 lb on and that is what your lifting not 50 lb. On a 1 to 1 ratio you pull 24 " and the weigh moves 24 " where as on the 1 to 2 you pull 24" and the weight only moves 12" It is one way to make you have to buy a second weight stack.

I'm 6'4 so as soon as you said you had to bend knees to do a pull up this option was an instant no for me. If they get height options Id like it.
There is an extension you can buy to get the pull up bar higher. I think they keep the stouter frame so that more folks can fit it in their garage or home, but they have a number of useful accessories.

They’re the best. I’ve bought almost $1000 worth of just handles and attachments... 3 kinds of prime handles (kaz, regular prime handles and a 4n1 bar), 2 different sized adjustable bars( short and long bars) & 2 different size squat wedges (10 and 20 degree) and all of them are game changers for what they do.
I wish I got this instead of the force usa g6. Forceusa uses thin metal and the attachments are cheap aside from the legpress attachment which is absolutely well done.. Think marcy quality because I've done some digging and they have to come from the same Chinese manufacturer. I don't have anything against marcy because its priced what it should be and forceusa is not . I can see why you never reviewed force usa the quality for the price is not met. And the prime prodigy rack is not that much more expensive.
I got my rack and a used hoist 210 I use for accessory work. Problem is that I had to take the rack down for my car.
I was quoted $4,850.00 (base unit) with the plate loadable rack, I will look around for cheaper options without suffering too much on quality and flexibility.
The footprint is also pretty big being 62” L x 75” W x 92 H. Nothing on rated weight capacity which would be nice to know for comparison to other machines, especially cheaper ones.
It really seems they are split of which market they are trying to go for. With the contact sales rep for price, you already know that for a home user, you would probably be better off with rouge rack and buying a plate loaded cable machine. So realistically, this is for commercial gym owners.
As for a choice in that scenario, sure. This rack is a lot better than those trash half racks that they usually buy. But good luck getting to the clueless person who is spending the money in that scenario. Because I'm not so sure that a knowledgable gym owner would even buy it vs an elitefts and a duo cable machine.

"Its a short rack.... you won't get a full stretch..." it's a 92" rack.... the fixed pulley is literally at the very top of the machine so lets say where it attaches to a handle is like 89-90". How friggin tall are you to the point you couldn't get a full stretch on a lat pulldown? I have a "home gym" machine from hoist fitness. I got it 3 years ago used mainly for the high-mid- and low pulley attachments.... it also has a leg extension/ standing leg curl pad and bench press handles.... that thing fits under my garage door tracks and my garage door is your standard 7 foot door.... so it's not even 84". I'm 5'10".... but have comically short legs and long arms. I get a full stretch when I do pull downs on that thing. Adding another 10" I'd think would accommodate someone.... 10" taller than me. So.... someone 6'8". At the very least 6'6". CERTAINLY anyone under 6'. If you're talking pull ups.... bend your knees slightly. I'd rather have a pull up bar I don't have to jump up to to reach and grab anyways like is the case on my 90" RML-690 rack's pull up bar. To me it's the perfect height because I can grab it standing on my tip toes so after doing 10-12 pull ups I can "cheat" at the bottom by just pointing my toes down and taking mini rests as I hang. I'd also recommend to people if their pull up bar is a hair too low to actually NOT bend their knees putting their feet behind them but instead keep them locked out and just raise your feet forward by bending at the hip. Like the fist 1/16th of the range of motion when doing leg raises on a pull up bar. Flexing everything and keeping your legs straight makes pull ups a lot more doable. Just a tip for beginners. Flex every muscle in your body and hold it while doing pullups. You'll go from doing 0 to 5... to 10... to 10+ in no time. My biggest pain, literally, when doing them is my knurled socket pullup bar eating the shit out of my hands. I know coop loves his knurling but I'd say.... go for a smooth pull up bar. That is if you like having skin on your hands and don't like having your calluses ripped off. Hanging from a knurled bar for 30-45 seconds straight while doing a set of pullups is more murder on my hands than when I do sets of 2 rep deadlifts at 500 lbs. I can easily hold a 500 lb deadlift and just stand there for 10 seconds more easily than i can dangle my 205 lb ass off a knurled bar for 30-45 seconds. I don't get it either.
8:01 - 8:10 - Are you guys being so careful because this rack was a loaner? Seems like there was an exaggerated amount of care when putting the bar on the j-cups.
Just got a selectorized one today and the numbers were laser cut. Not sure if that's just selectorized or if they upgraded that for all racks.
