If you’ve been following Garage Gym Reviews for a while, you know that Coop has had some pretty sick home gym setups. But you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
In this video, Coop gives us a full tour of his newest garage gym (the fourth tour we’ve done on this channel, by the way), covering everything from his favorite machines, like the Free Motion Functional Trainer that he kitted out; fun additions that deck the place out like the Titan Ronin and Sorenix Frankhyper; and even the wall-mounted vacuum that he fashioned to make cleaning a breeze.
How do you think this gym stacks up? Check out the older iterations of Coop’s home gyms below, just to compare:

I would like to see an "unsung heros of the garage gym" video; stuff like the chair you have over next to the ronin, maybe signs or clocks, power outlets, tables, storage to make the garage functional as both a gym and a garage, the seemingly mundane stuff that might be overlooked when planing or building a gym. For instance something in my gym that has had a lot of value is my double cell cellular shades. they get the sun out of my eyes in the morning, they block out or in light and give me that garage cave feel(or help me forget its 4 in the morning) plus they add some additional r value to the windows.
Absolutely in love with your home gym but also absolutely opposite of what I personally want. There's a certain beauty and intent with minimalist gym (squat rack, barbell, weights, and gymnastic rings)
W
I have a rack and bar at home. I've also got a recumbent bike, adjustable bench, asst. DBs up to 40lbs, resistance bands, an ab wheel, the wife has a treadmill. A few other small things. It's not quite enough. I mean it's adequate. I could go my whole life never buying another piece as long as the pins or j-cups didn't wear out. But I do wish I had -
#1- a rowing machine or maybe assault bike
And #2(most importantly) a way to isolate quads and hammies. You can do so much shit with just a rack and bar setup, but you'll absolutely never roast your hammies the way you could if you had a way to isolate them. Yes there are ways to hit them but compound movements = high systemic fatigue and generally low isolation. I just want to roast my hammies without deadlifts, some other variation or BW exercises. Narrow stance squats hit the quads real well and lunges are great for glutes but again the fatigue. If you have a home gym and you like working out, then not being wrecked matters because sometimes you just get bored and want to workout
This is so awesome! I love this channel, and I can't wait until I get my own house to build my own home gym in!
Cue my best Rick Harrison, "Best I can do is $20"
As long as you throw in a signed Bench Prop, I'm in.
That'll get you a month of Future if you use Coop's code.
Been waiting for this one, niiiiice!
Love, love, love your Freemotion innovation!!!
Adding the strip to the functional trainer was such a good idea
Please do a video on how you attached the 3x3 upright to your feemotion functional trainer. That is an awesome idea. Want to know how you did the supports. Did you add support to the back also?
You have given me so many ideas over the past two years. Keep bringing these fire videos.
A video dedicated to cable machines and the best ones currently available would be cool.
Love it brother! It's been amazing watching GGR grow! Keep up the amazing work!
Yes, we need a video on that free motion!
Sick video. Thanks for taking the time. Also.. you’re looking great man!
Love it Coop! Legendary
Coop, off the intro, hitting us with some diy and it’s fire 🔥
it's really cool how much stuff you can fit into one gym. Though if/when I get to build my own gym I think I'd focus on getting the least amount of things to o the most with.
Thats the initial goal but eventuallly you get tired of setting up different exercise like in a power rack and start to buy dedicated machines for certain exercises. It sucks being in the groove to have to spend 5 minutes having to move safety straps, j cups, weights and the barbell around just to do a different exercise.
Awesome home gym, congrats Coop! I wish i had all this available space for my workouts, i have to settle for my balcony 😆
Amazing home gym Coop. Wish I had the space / spare cash to build something half as good as that… you’re living the dream, my friend! Love to see it!
Outstanding
Beautiful
You should do a video on the best dip belts for weighted pull-ups and dips. Haven't found any solid videos about it online. would be helpful.
This is absolutely goals
Super cool space coop! Thanks for the look.
Of course! Thanks for watching.
Nordic board review please, thanks Coop!
That Vipershop chair though at 3:50😮💨🔥
That peanut butter color is crazy!
Coop seems to really be going after the nordic theme here lately. He actually mentioned it twice in this video. Has he noticed a lot of improvement in his knees or ankles? Curious as to what is currently driving his motivation to focus on this exercise. Great video :)
Since doing nordics, I've been able to jump higher (tested) and feel more stable in every movement. My knees also no longer have pain, although it was only at certain times previously. I also have a current goal of doing an unassisted slow down, explosive up nordic curl and I think I'll be able to do it in a few weeks when I test. I'm getting close. Big believer in the movement.
@@GarageGymReviews oh wow, thank you for the quick reply and real life testimony of it’s effectiveness. Wishing you success and definitely want to see it happen. Maybe even a montage of the beginnings of you doing it and along the way. Good luck!
@we explorere haven’t heard of them. May have to check them out.
Please review competition kettlebells! Great video as always
This garage gym is such a flex! 💪 🔥
This is amazing
Hey coop, ever think of doing a video of how to lay out a garage gym, maybe a sketch with measurements? I’m setting one up and can’t figure out which way to orient rack etc.
An interesting idea! Thanks for the suggestion. Will certainly take into consideration.
-Nathan (Videographer)
Interested to know why you have two open trap bars on hand and if you're going to eventually compare them to the Prime Fitness Trap Bar. Would love to watch that review
I'm def choosing my future forever home based on where and how big the space is for the gym!
Your future home is a barn
I bought the eleiko hybrid bar with the coating in February. Love it.
This man is proof that being able to buy tons of shit and equipment doesn’t automatically make you jacked 😭😂. I still like the video tho
Dope video Coop! I especially liked the whole "storage+rack+storage" setup you have along that one wall! I would like to do something like, with my rep pr4000 as my rack 'anchor' - can you recommend (or make a video) on various storage options and/or attachments for 3x3 5/8" dimensions ?
Make a video on your different tricep extension attachments!
Contrasts sharply with my set up. Rack, bar, bench, plates, rings and kettlebells.
Great video Coop! Where is your adjustable DB storage system from?
Sick
I like that Nordic curl idea
Can you blog a “how to” mount the upright to free motion:Which upright you used? was it mounted off center? My free motion has a bracket in the center of the weight stacks.
The best garage gym ever. Probably took a very long time. ( I need a barbell)
I rather have Brian Shaw’s gym.
Lol, I still need drywall in my garage. It’s exposed beams everywhere.. a work in progress I suppose.
@@dannyrivera2 It's better that way. Enjoy the easy mounting!
I’d rather have mine lol
I enjoy your work, but I'm proud of my stall mats, kettlebells, and pullup bar! Adding a SeaBag sandbag today.
Those PowerBlocks are so good looking. I think they are the best looking of all adjustables. I am jealous.
What peg board are you using for storage? Thanks for the video!
Any chance you could do a functional trainer attachment/handle review. Interested in seeing your thoughts on best attachments
hey coop what is that storage called you got for the power blocks.....looks really useful
Love the garage flooring. I was planning on using the rolled PLAE 18mm flooring but like the tile sound dampening idea. Do you think the tiles cause any issues when doing double unders with all the seams?
Yo, I am going to need a quick video on that mounted vacuum and Coxreal setup. Like a parts list and stuff would be awesome.
I couldn’t be more jealous Coop!
keen for a detailed video on the free motion functional trainer!
Coop, please, could you explain in detail how did you attach the strip to the FreeMotion? Many have already asked and you told about that “future” video… please 🙏🏼
Coop, would you please do an indepth video on the prime fitness selectorized HLP? Thanks in advance!
Coop, what kind of drill & bit are using to make holes in your machines? I have a TSS 3x3 6 post rack. The problem is they only put holes on the front & back of their posts and I’m not a fan of the hole spacing either. Thanks
Coop, who do you recommend for stall bars?
Can’t wait for the proper 3 hour run through of EVERYTHING 🤩
Hey coop, So I pre-ordered the Rep Fitness Ares Cable system, and I was just wondering if these rack ecosystems are something you like. I know that other companies are making power racks with functional trainers built in. But I bought the Ares (1) because I already have the PR5000 V2. And (2) because it offers a lat pull down as well as a row with the plate. Are you planning in reviewing the Ares cable system? I’m excited to get it in august.
Just preordered too I’m super excited to get it!! I’m sure coop will do a review at some point
Love the guns up reverse hyper, WreckEm
Coop can you do a video on single stack cable pulley systems? It seems like not a lot are available, especially ones that aren’t 90”. I would love to see your comparison.
More equipment than a commercial gym.. amazing 👏
Love that it is a bit messy and not totally colour matched :)
Do you think there’s a way to add a stabilizer to the xmark cable stack? Like how you did with your free motion machine.
Do like the Rhino Belt Squat? I was thinking about getting one since I have a funky low back.
Would you recommend more 2x Prime Single Stacks or the Rogue CC-1 cable crossover? Not sure which setup would be better
👍 Good stuff, Coop! Where can I buy some of those angled supports to stand on for when I'm squatting? Really need to get a set of those...
I really like Primes, but I also have some wedges from Rogue and some foam ones from Amazon.
Hi Coop, could you please advise if the knurling on the Rogue stainless steel war bar is the same as the Pyrros's weightlifting bar? How would you rate the knurling on the Pyrros bar? It would be great if you could please do a review on this bar. Thanks so much!
Coop, you need to explain the gun handle attachment one day. I want to need one.
What are your thoughts on the Tri Bells attachments? I have been looking at them for a while but never pulled the trigger
Where do you get your used gym equipment? I’m trying to find and build out a squat rack with bumper plates but don’t mind them being used
Lots of 💰💰💰very well invested 👌
That 360 degree forearm trainer you have on the wall. It’s two attached circles with handles inside the circles. Do you like that piece? Is It worth the money?
Holy crap!!
You inspired me to purchase the freemotion. Now I have an expensive dust collector lol. You rock!!
What’s the peg board system you have to organize all of the little accessories next to the garage door?
Wreck em! Wonder where the reverse hyper came from, definitely was t in the rec center when I was there
I am so freakin' jealous lol. my home gym isn't anywhere near what your iron paradise is but, hope upgrade within the next couple of years . love your channel coop.
Woah I need that powerblock stand with the drawer what company makes that
Coop with the tank one have you had issues with the tred on the wheels … and if so what do u recommend on replacing the tire? Thanks for help
Also with dumbbells do you recommend or have any ideas about change plates/ magnets for the dumbbells to get that in between weight of dumbbell …
Microgainz and Platemates make fractional weights for dumbbells and both are pretty good
Can you do a pegboard review? I want to get one, but I'm not really sure what I'm getting myself into.
What brand of carabiners are you using? The all orange ones look really nice and I can't seem to find those exact ones anywhere 😅
I want a video review of the squatmax md stand alone version....with the row and glute attachment.
Absolutely garage goals! What's the connection on finding a college that's selling off equipment? Have to imagine the big programs are constantly rotating out high quality gym equipment.
Interested in the GHD/Reverse hyper. Try out any other brands versions? Saw Rogue, Vulcan and Elite FTS have one as well. Vulcan being the most “affordable”
What did you do with the Watson dumbbells you got in the bulk purchase from the university with the eleiko plates?
Is that rogue 3 bar vertical storage used to hang the steel clubs from?
Hey guys this is COOP! 👏🎬
Gonna be turning downstairs room into gym room for training for bow season would appreciate any help thoughts or dos or donts thanks
Hi Coop, are you able to cut those flooring tiles to fit?
I’d definitely like to see a video about all your cable attachments-the “doo dads”!
What was the knurled handle hanging on the left of the free motion?? We need a video of handle attachments lol.
I got a gym but it ain’t in my garage and I finally save up for the rogue 3rml fold out rack or something. I forgot what it called and I saved for some rogue echo bumper plates and I love it. Garage Gyms are legendary
Bring back the TSP videos! 💪🏼🏋🏼♀️
Where that functional trainer comparison video tho?
Do you have a sound system in the garage? TV’s?
Coop this is great but do u used any of these equipments? 👀
@ 0:50 what are the black baseball bat looking things hanging on your storage rack? What do you use them for?
I can’t wait for the FreeMotion customization video!!
What are the heel elevation boards you are using?
I need to know more about the gun handle we see in some of your videos
Wreck'em Tech!!
