Pure magic ! I wish RCA-Sony would go back and remaster some of the strong outakes, like this one, and release it, to retail stores, so even the casual music fan, can purchase it and discover the talent of Elvis Presley, that they may have overlooked. Elvis was more than just the guy, who sang "Hound dog".
LORD JESUS, is my briged over trouble wates!! outstanding video, very good!!unfortunaly Elvis is gone,i beleve in his salvation, even with all mistake,on drugs and etc....etc.GOD gave him, such a voice, whem u listen, we can fell his voice! so may GOD!! keep his soul and his voice!!!!
"When I first heard Elvis perform 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' it was unbelievable. I thought to myself, 'How the hell can I compete with that?" - Paul Simon
I don't know how that thing came out about Elvis being inspired by Roy orbinson. I heard it even a long time ago on somebody's version of a biography of Elvis. But he was out years before Roy Orbinson was. Maybe he inspired him to do different vocal ranges and types. But he wasn't trying to copy or be like him. I like Roy orbinson. But I believe the inspiration was the other way around if any
steve mann Roy Orbinson saw Elvis play in 1955. How could Roy be Elvis' idol? He was a fan when Elvis was first starting out. Roy didn't make it until the 1960's/
***** lol okay believe that if you want but it's the other way around. Roy got into music because of Elvis. Roy Orbinson was very talented and I love his songs but he doesn't possess the diversity of Elvis. Roy can't go from Jailhouse Rock to Surrender to In The Ghetto. Elvis can and did.
People have great voices, people have outstanding voices. There are phenomenal voices even. This right here is A VOICE OF PURE GOLD.
Even when young, Elvis had so much range in his early music! It still amazes me after 50+ years!

***** Never doubted he was a fan of Roy, but Roy being his idol? That's a stretch. Elvis was a fan but Elvis was Roy's idol not the other way around.
From what I read, there was mutual respect between the two for theire respective accomplishments. Elvis admired Roy's range.
Nixon head in a jar but no elvis
If we ever have visitors from another planet who want to destroy us........play Elvis music! This kind of music could calm the devil himself!
yes kkkkkkk
