@elygia Do you mean because the laugh isn't in the beginning line? We actually didn't do that because a master take of the song wouldn't have it. Seeing how AI interprets laughter is an interesting idea, though! That said, I understand your concern with AI; thankfully for us Elvis fans, Elvis is probably one of the last artists that will be even half-decently replicated by someone who isn't putting a lot of time and work into it.

I first heard the original version about 12 years ago in bootleg CD, since then I'd imagined how it would sound like if he completed the song. I've tried to listen to many impersonators, but no one has ever come close to my imagination. Now you have completed my life as an Elvis fan. I recently asked "google" to play some rare Elvis and it played the original "Poor Mans Gold" that we all know and love and wished very much that Elvis had completed. Then it started to repeat or so i thought, could have knocked me over with a feather when the vocals carried on through the first line with no laughter.. I was gobsmacked and had to find out what was going on!!!!! To hear that this has been Artificially created is amazing and to hear it sound THIS good is astounding. Preservation is the key and i am very sure you guys will not overstep the mark. Cheers.

I've been a huge fan of Elvis since the 70's and I havent heard an AI song worth listening to until now. This blew me away! I'm sure all of us Elvis fans would love to hear more of these unfinished songs. Incredible job! Elvis would have been proud.

Honestly, I'd hate to keep it just to one-liners and attempted songs, there are some pretty solid songs that were sent to him that would be cool, and ones we've come to know that he was thinking about that might be interesting. But anything like that will take a while before we get to that point with something like this, and it would only be songs that we have a solid arrangement for.
Elvis isn't recording anything new. This is a great AI use. Using the technology up to a catalog of material up til 1978 would be great. But, keep it what he would do. No Disco Duck😊

Amazing. Have to say as a fan of 40 years i can tell a fake after the first few seconds but this is soooo authentic all the way through. It sounds like it has hints of Dont Cry Daddy and Lets Be Friends and authentic to the unique Memphis Seesions recordings of the same time. So not only does it sound exactly like him but also to the exact time period. Amazing.
Thank you!! It's all down to the technique of how the base vocal is sung, and how good the ai is at interpreting that, so there's alot that goes into getting the sound where this is. So we really appreciate that that work comes through!
As a fan of longer I can tell its fake the tone of his voice was never the same all the way through a song. This is.

For most ordinary people they would say it's definitely not an impersonator so it must be Elvis rather than thinking it's obviously then computer generated with new artificial intelligence technology. As I said previously, it reminds me of "Let's Be Friends".

This is amazingly accurate. Imagine the potential of hearing every song Elvis ever recorded but AI using his voice from different eras. For example if all the He Touched Me songs were with the His Hand in mine voice or Until It’s Time for you to Go with the Something For Everybody voice or Fools Fall in Love/Come What May with the Elvis is Back voice or Tomorrow is a Long Time with the Memphis 69 voice etc etc
Thank you, John! Funny enough, that idea doesn't work as well as one might imagine, just because Elvis used his voice so differently - even from year to year. But, with some assistance from folks who understand these differences, general approximations could possibly be made!

It’s only when listening very closely that at some points it sounds slightly different. What a shame Elvis didn’t record it back in the sixties. Jamie, just incredible work. I am a little torn about AI and great artists of the past but it is great to hear "Elvis" do a song that he never fully recorded. Amazingly good. If Elvis Presley Enterprises were smart (and I am guessing they are), they would hire you...get you in a recording studio and do an album of new Elvis songs that fit his style and voice like this did then do their AI magic. As a bit of a singer myself, I see what you did and am impressed. The key here is you know exactly how Elvis used his voice (inflections, how he would have phrased, etc) and emulated it as much as humanly possible and added in the AI secret sauce. Again, I hope the powers that be jump on this (in a good way) and get you into a studio so we can have the next best thing to the man himself...so many songs could use this treatment!

@@jettsteari3062 I should say... it's not usually about "knowing better" - different fans have different approaches to listening to music in general (and thus Elvis in particular), and so they hear different aspects of Elvis's voice more prominently than others. So, especially with early tech like this, what it covers hit certain sounds but not others - which is partially why you get wildly different reactions to the sound of it.
I think it would be cool to create AI recordings of songs that we have audio of Elvis singing a line or two. Songs like "Don't It Make You Want To Go Home" by Joe South, or "Rainy Night In Georgia" by Tony Joe White. I think these AI songs could sound great, as they fit well with Elvis' style of singing. I'm actually a big fan of using Elvis' AI voice in songs he never recorded, as long as the results are of a similar quality to what you achieved with "Poor Mans Gold".

After listening to much of the Elvis A I on RUclips this is the only one that really sounds like Elvis!

listening to this over and over and comparing from his other recordings from 1969, this is incredible. in fact as this places i can imagine like a piano/organ, strings, and horns playing with the song. and chance of overdubbing other instruments with this??

@@EAPSociety The song I was thinking was "I'll Be There" is soooo similar style to this. The style, the voice tone. Probably reason iI was thinking the horns and string/guitar and piano/organ.
