In a way, I kind of get where Kadoc was coming from. His chance to save the world was taken from him before he could really do anything, and given how mage society is he was really hoping to have been a part of something bigger than himself, only for someone that by the standards of a mage even worse than him accomplish it. I can understand why that bothers him so much and why he held a grudge at first, but I think now he realizes that it wasn’t our fault for his circumstances, and now he finally does have a chance to save the world from the bleaching.
If I’m still being honest, it still doesn’t stop Ritsuka from being the bigger gigachad. And I think Kadoc was doing spell crafting, basically combining other comparable spells like Aoko.
Him being the introduction to the Lostbelts was honestly one of the best writing decisions I've ever seen
