    Just a matter of perspective. The Lostbelts are doomed to fail anyway, like Fairy Britain or India. Even Atlantis, supposed to be a paradise, faced the Primordial Chaos, which required a Lostbelt incarnate to counter it.

    I don’t think it’s a villain arc. If you put eight people in an arena and poison all of them, with each having one of the required ingredients for an antidote, if one of them kills the others in order to survive there is enough moral gray zone to prevent a definitive villain label imo. Granted in this case the analogy has to be scaled up to the millions or perhaps billions, but it’s still a matter of kill everyone else (and their worlds) or you (and your world) die.
    Edit: To clarify, it’s definitely not the “we are heroes” vibe from the singularity chapters. I’m not saying that killing everyone else to ensure one’s own survival is a morally upstanding decision, just that coercion (The Foreign God is coercing Ritsuka) and securing one’s own safety prevent a full blown villain label from being justified in my opinion.

    What I want to see in Ordeal Call (where the JP server is now) is Novum Chaldea gaining a new identity as Lostbelt: Beast VII, the destroyer of failed worlds, and being forced to come to terms with that fact before they can enter the airspace of their home in Antarctica.
    For those of you who may not remember, the Foreign God appeared briefly at the end of Lostbelt 5 with the class signal of "Beast VII", whom we were completely unprepared to fight. However, she was driven back by Kirschtaria Wodime's Sirius-Light-enhanced meteor spell that came at the cost of his life. Nevertheless, the Lostbelt eventually ceased to be, though we never even touched its Tree of Emptiness (it was burned down from within by Muramasa).

      My god, finally! Someone else that shares my headcanon!
      Yes, Chaldea meets all the qualifications to be Beast VII. A monster born from human origin, who destroys humanity despite loving humanity. Additionally, it was stated that because Beast I came into existence, as a consequence Beast VII would also come into existence. And what else came into it's current existence because of Goetia? CHALDEA!

Beast VII Chaldea, an Organization who seeks to save humanity by destroying humanity. A perpectually dead Lostbelt that clings on to life by destroying other worlds.
      Sadly, regardless of how fitting it would be, it's never gonna happen. Fgo grew so much that it encapsulated more than Nasu fans. And the people who are in the game just for the waifus and husbandos would never accepr an ending where they become the villain.

    It's not wrong but quite a stretch. He's definitely a villain, to the one playing a god.
    Ruining their game, messing up their plan, and spoiling their entertainment. The one false lies on the hand of those who bleached the earth white and Chaldian A-Team just has no choice but to comply, being their puppet, altho some might be more enthusiastic than others, but their choice is either to perish or take chances to live another life.
    False trees planted down in your backyard and meant to overgrow the whole house that was meant to be empty, suddenly, you, its owner come up from the basement and start pruning the tree to minimize the damage to your already doomed house then uprooted the entire tree itself.
    Although your house is doomed, robbed, empty, and barren, yet, it's still your house. Once brimming with life, death, misery, pleasantry, all the same. Who the fu*k this 'god' think your house is? Their sandbox??
    They think they can just walk in willy-nelly, building sand castles and claim 'These are towns of tragedy, altho filled with despair, there's still hope and its people' then expect us, the owner of the house, the very landlord ourselves, feeling bad from topple their make-believe sand castles despite it a little too real?
    No.
    They are outsiders, the foreigners, the aliens that want you to believe you're taking life, but in fact, you only taking away their fantasy. This IS our house, there're many post-war nuked-out houses but this one is MINE. They would do best to the GET THE FU*K OUT OF MY LAWN!
    ===================================
    Cosmos in the Lostbelts feels a little over-the-top where it just upright Goetia-ed the whole world as an opener where the former failed to achieve then this one just does, a literal snap of fingers. But it's such an emotional roller coaster of joy and experiences to ride.

      Not really. First if you even count him as "destroying" the lost belts, which is debatable as all he is doing is removing their connection to our world their non existence is do to what made them lost belts in the first place, none of lost belts has a healthy population. lost belt one is just a few villiage in Russia, lost belts 2 and 3 have heavy population controls, 4 is not so slowly erasing it's population. 5 is only a small number of islands that have no population growth and 6 has no true humans and the fairies got what they deserved as all the descent ones came with us or were killed.

    • @nagatouzumaki3492
      @nagatouzumaki3492 6 дней назад

      Unlikely.
      At this point, I would say slightly around 10k at lowest (since Lostbelt 2 had 100 villages with 100 people in them). Lostbelt 3 and 4 had an unidentified number of people, but I doubt it had that many (at least based on our interactions within it). While Ritsuka had the intention of destroying Lostbelt 1 (which likely had many people in it due to harsh conditions of living) and 5 (which had at least 10 million people living in Olympus based on early statements), Ritsuka never destroyed Lostbelt 1 and 5. First, the Lostbelt foreign god priestess cut down the tree, and in the fifth Lostbelt, Muramsa destroyed it. Now granted, Ritsuka still planned to cut down both trees, so intent is still there.
      In terms of Lostbelt 6 and 7, then Oberon/Fairies and Ort pretty much destroyed the entire population of them.
      So Ritsuka likely at this point has death count (indirect kills) of over 10 k people.

    • @nagatouzumaki3492
      @nagatouzumaki3492 6 дней назад

      @KaizenArcadian Unlikely.
      Lostbelt 1 was a very unfriendly world for survival, so it was unlikely it had many people in it. Albeit Ritsuka had intent to destroy it, ultimately the tree was cut down by the foreign god priestess. No kills by Ritsuka here.
      Lostbelt 2 was, if I recall correctly, a population of 10k (100 villages with 100 people each). Unless maybe we count Giants.
      Lostbelt 3 (I don't recall if the number was stated or implied), but to my recollection, it didn't have that many people in it, at least from our interactions (it was almost entirely rather primitive village work with a city that had some artist in it, but mostly it looked like mechanical).
      Lostbelt 4 also was a village world that was regularly pruned by its king to the point there was less and less in it. So I doubt there was that much in it either.
      Lostbelt 5 is where it starts to get ugly number-wise, as Olympus (not counting Atlantis, but unlikely the population was that high given it consisted of rather small islands) was stated to have a population of at least 10 million people. Albeit Ritsuka planned to prune this Lostbelt too by cutting down the tree, Muramasa (working for the foreign god) does it first.
      In Lostbelt 6 and 7, their population is gone, either due to Oberon and Cernunnos's actions in the former and Ort in the latter.
      So Ritsuka ultimately destroyed only Lostbelt 2, 3, and 4 (albeit he planned to destroy also 1st and 5th, and 7th; it's just someone else stole his kills).

    The foreign god is the true villain not Chaldea and not the lostbelts because remember it was the foreign god (an alien) who invaded our world and destroyed it killing most of humanity. It was the foreign god who created the trees of emptiness to anchor the lostbelts putting Chaldea in an inevitable collision course with them as the lostbelts need to go for proper human history to survive. Whether its Chaldea or the lostbelts, both sides are merely fighting for survival with the alternative being oblivion, so the true villain is the one that put them in the position where they had to destroy each other in order to live

    • @nagatouzumaki3492
      @nagatouzumaki3492 6 дней назад

      To my knowledge, Chaldea remnants could survive and already did survive the pruning of human history (hell, even crypters from human history were allowed to survive in Lostbelts and even outlived their own Lostbelts). So at this point it's not really about survival, and Chaldea could technically throw lots with any party, such as Losbelt or even foreign god, or just stay neutral. So it's not really that foreign god forced them to do so. It's foreign God that created situation which was at odds with Chaldea remnants goal of restoring proper human history. In the end Chaldea remnants made decision they made to destroy Losbelts much like Foreign god made his decisions to destroy proper human history. Both acted from perspective of end justifies extreme means (albeit Chaldea remnants are doing so in very irrational and inconsistent fashion).

      Uh what you are talking about is a singularity. Lostbelts are whole different timelines that were pruned from existence bcs humanity in those timeline hit a dead end, either from not being able to progress in technology like our normal history or in some worst case scenario, completely wiped out. These Lostbelts don’t have a grail to power them so they can function, they only need a Tree of Void to anchor them onto the EARTH itself so they can keep developing and potentially one day overwrite our own earth as we know it.
      Unlike Singularities where a grail made a small shift in the timeline and we can easily travel back in time to set things right by cutting off that branch right when it was formed.
      Lostbelts tho are literally parallel timelines where things got messed up at some point and those timelines have progressed on their own for THOUSANDS of years, and we don’t have the choice to simply go back in time and cut the problem at its roots, no, we are literally killing a whole other developed history so that ours can survive. It’s made worse by the fact that these different worlds under the right condition can easily detach from our earth and survive on its own. That’s why every time we erase one Lostbelt, we are killing everyone in it. Ofc they all just vanish at the end of their lives, no pain involved but it doesn’t make it any better for Ritsuka.

      @@ucmanhvuong4301That would basically make Chaldea into Lostbelt: Beast VII.
      Think about it: Beast VII is quite literally the endbringer of the world in which it appears. Because of its love for humanity, it wipes out an entire world so that humanity cannot destroy itself with its own folly.
      Since (as of last year on the the JP server) we have destroyed all 7 Lostbelts for the sake of our world's (and thus, humanity's) survival, Chaldea has more than earned the right to be called "Lostbelt: Beast VII". That may also contribute to the reason why we cannot approach our old Chaldea Base yet, but we won't know for a while.
      I, however, will call it now: Novum Chaldea is Lostbelt: Beast VII; hence why the Counter Force kept us out of our base at Antarctica. And until and unless we accept that truth and deal with it somehow, we cannot get past the barrier erected by the CF.
