There are some days where everything just goes wrong. And lucky for me, this filming day was one of those days. 🤖
I sat down to film 3 times and my battery died, the look didn't turn out how I wanted (hence the glitter and stained eyelids lol), and I got tired of hearing my own voice. So I decided to just leave the camera rolling (with my backup battery ofc) and do my makeup to unwind. 🧠
I've seen Alissa Ashley's makeup therapy videos and I think a lot of us can relate to makeup application being therapeutic. I've gotten several comments on makeup tutorials in the past from non-makeup-wearers saying they just like watching the application. So this is for you!
Sometimes, I get into a really bad mental space (esp when it comes to my videos) about everything having to fit a certain vision...which makes sense - it's my art. But it gets really exhausting when I begin to panic about things not going right. I stop wanting to film, and then I panic about not uploading. So this time, I decided to let loose and see where the liner took me. ⌇
I didn't really have a direction going into this; I just knew I wanted to play with graphic liner. Colorful graphic liner is trending this summer! It's so cute and was oddly satisfying to do. I love eyeliner application. But what was even more satisfying was doing my makeup simply to do my makeup. I wasn't going anywhere, there was a high possibility that the makeup wasn't going to turn out well, and I didn't even know if the footage was going to be usable. But here we are, and I liked the video enough to upload it. ☕️
As much as you can try to prevent it, things can and will go wrong (curse you, Murphy's Law) so here's a friendly reminder that it's ok to be flexible sometimes! (you heard me, Virgos)

i can relate to this to a whole level. In my everyday, I consider skincare and makeup as my therapy or time for myself so I don't really mind the time when doing both. I'll shorten my bath time if i'm running late but not my skincare time😂
And when there are days wherein I feel sad or bored, I sit infront of the mirror and just start doing anything to my face hahahhaha. It's really therapeutic and relaxing.

I love your content because even tho it’s a makeup channel which can get quite repetitive, you never bore me and always make makeup videos in a creative way.

Makeup used to be my 'war paint' which I used as armor on the bad days when I was really ill because of treatments but still needed to go to school. The idea of experimenting and going all out got me out of bed on many mornings. I am really happy that nowadays I can do makeup just for the fun of it, but still, especially on bad days, doing skincare/makeup is the best way to unwind and relax. Makeup taught me to appreciate my body.
this video made me so happy bc everyone i know thinks that makeup is just a front and for show but for some people like me, it's very therapeutic and relieving to just do it. Maybe it's the steps or that your mind is just free with creativity and does whatever it wants but it's good to just sit down and do it :") i rlly enjoyed this video ❤
