Ha… I like how at 2:07 Walt saying “don’t go don’t go don’t go don’t go!” Matches up with the eerie tone in the background… and also how the tone gets lower as Walt’s hope diminishes
The level of game theory that Gus is deploying here is wild. Every now and then Gus just gets a 6th sense and then spends a solid while playing out every possibility in his head. In this instance, he probably doesn't understand how Brock's condition relates to Walter, but before leaving Jesse suspects he is involved somehow - Walking out onto the parking floor just adds a conclusion to that suspicion; assassination attempt. It takes Gus a little while to conclude he's safest using another route out, for him to be correct about this being an assassination plot, using Jesse as the bait at the hospital - he has to assume Walt is capable of poisoning a child. Which really, even for people in this line of work, is unlikely.
For the people in the comments apparently it was just Gus's gut feeling and he didn't see Walt. Which makes sense because Gus didn't act like he saw Walt and if did he didn't do anything about it.
I don't know if anyone noticed this but in the minute 2:27, Walter is about to cry, his last plan so far had failed and he lost hope little by little. Bryan Cranston's performance and music make a very good combination in this scene.
I like how Gus' thugs don't question why he's stopped. They just start watching the flanks to make sure no one comes from behind while Gus is distracted looking out at the rooftops. Shows that he chose his men well.
Gus is crazy as hell he's like a robot or something. But if you see the scene in Better call Soul when he speaks with his employee's after Salamanca visits him he's the nicest and kindest man ever.
These moments in Breaking Bad where we are shown something but not told are powerful. Better Call Saul expanded on this, showing and almost never telling throughout the entire show. It forces you to be more involved in the show, to reflect on it a bit. It's a lot of fun.

Walt had no money here.... I believe he might've had like $50k....
For some reason I remember it as him trying to snipe Gus.
Gta v has a mission kinda like this, where you snipe a dude in a parking lot
@@dwagin6315 Hn, cool.
Damn that makes me want to go back play that what good memories.
@@dwagin6315 Snipe a dude from a parking lot.
@@dwagin6315 i think it was an assassination for lester, anyways its 100% similar
When u go upstairs and forget why u went upstairs
Gus assassination plot was freakign awesome. Its one of the few stories to not bungle killing off a very smart opponent without dumbing them down. 10/10
Big true. The only thing that was dumbed down if you ask me was him coming to kill Hector himself. Which cost him his life.
I like how Walt brings cardboard to sit on lol
Gustavo Fring, a man who for a very long time, led an even more charmed existence than Walter White.
Gus is genuinely one of the most complex and intelligent characters in TV history. If Walt was a certified genius by helping make Gray Matter yet couldn’t run a drug empire for more than a few months, then Gus was the Einstein that ran it for a decade while balancing family, Los Pollos Hermanos, the DEA and rivals
@@abeedeahmed5626 The best thing about Gus is that I haven’t watched Better Call Saul, yet. So, I know that I still have a lot more of Gus to look forward to.

This is the moment Gus saw Heisenberg's shiny bald head and reflections.
This is the moment where Walter white became the IRA
An under-appreciated aspect of this show, specifically season 4, is the way it uses music so effectively. The electronic and slightly industrial tinge is so good.
Ha… I like how at 2:07 Walt saying “don’t go don’t go don’t go don’t go!” Matches up with the eerie tone in the background… and also how the tone gets lower as Walt’s hope diminishes
The sound of the music winding down. Yep.
I've just realised the guy with Tyrus and Gus is the same guy who gets killed by Mike after he kills Chow.
Nice catch
@@bookeblade Agreed
He was also the guy sitting next to Gus before he walked into the nursing home to kill Hector.
I never noticed that
The level of game theory that Gus is deploying here is wild.
@@bobhenry6159 no he didn’t. Walt had binoculars and could barely make out his face.
I don't know if anyone noticed this but in the minute 2:27, Walter is about to cry, his last plan so far had failed and he lost hope little by little. Bryan Cranston's performance and music make a very good combination in this scene.
"I always think everything could be a trap. Which is why I'm still alive".
-Prince Gustavo Humperdink.
This is one of the most frustrating and intense scenes in the whole show
I like how walts binoculars have red lenses, that together with the glasses kinda makes him look like the devil with his horns.
Imagine gus came back after walt removed the bomb like: “sorry i left my phone in there”
fun fact: at the end it’s the same background music in this scene as when jane dies
This is the moment Gus looked
I like how Gus' thugs don't question why he's stopped. They just start watching the flanks to make sure no one comes from behind while Gus is distracted looking out at the rooftops. Shows that he chose his men well.
this is the moment gus walked around
Imagine if Lalo Salamanca is who gus is thinking about right here that makes him walk away from his car with suspicion
Like how the henchmen don't even question Gus Fring's intuition.
I like to think that Gus always does this when going back to a vehicle, just in case.
Gus is crazy as hell he's like a robot or something.
But if you see the scene in Better call Soul when he speaks with his employee's after Salamanca visits him he's the nicest and kindest man ever.
Imagine if Walt brought a sniper rifle as plan B
1:35 Walter looks practically demonic.

The music in the Breaking Bad universe is truly second to none. Truly.
Plot Twist: Gus does this everyday
The reason Gus doesn’t get into the car is because the bomb isn’t up to Los Pollos standards
This is the moment when Gus decides to get some fresh air and go for a walk.
Imagine if Hank and the cartel were also watching Gus from a distance and were also freaking out when gus knew something was up.
Here, Walt is sporting the venerable Casio calculator watch in black resin.
Walt looks like eggman when you see him staring at the camera with his binoculars
This is the best scene in all of breaking bad and better call saul universe
This is the moment when Gus became Spiderman
These moments in Breaking Bad where we are shown something but not told are powerful. Better Call Saul expanded on this, showing and almost never telling throughout the entire show. It forces you to be more involved in the show, to reflect on it a bit. It's a lot of fun.
Damn such good work on the soundtrack
What's the soundtrack name
I never noticed Walt put a cardboard under his knees to also hold his tools. Such a Walt thing to do
All of them see a shiny bald head and cant find out who it is because too many ppl with bald head
Someone should meme this with shine effects that obviously point out a bald head on the roof top.
I noticed the music that plays when Jane dies plays when Gus doesnt get in the car
This is the moment Gus realized he left the gas stove on
Gus can sense Walt’s ki nearby.
Last time Walt tried this attempt, Gus almost went to the tunnel while driving but casually continue in a different direction when he realizes the tunnel was actually a wall painted as a tunnel.
1:44 the ultimate game of where’s Wally?
On the big white building
The music accidentally syncs up with Walters "Don't go, don't go!" at 2:07.
Walt looks badass with the bandaid
Ikrrr
Bandaid Walt is the most dangerous TV show character ever.
little did he know walt anticipated that this could have happened, and as gus was walking for the exit, walt smiles and reaches for a second walkie talkie as he watches gus walk right into his backup trap...
I always wondered what tipped Gus off. But I was rewatching the show recently and figured he realized something was up when Jesse insinuated that Gus was the one who poisoned Brock. Knowing that he wasn’t the one who did it he must have realized that Walt was planning something after his conversation with Jesse in the hospital.
Gus is embodiment of professionalism and intelligence
One of my favorite scenes in this show
Man, I remember the absolute gut-wrenching tension of watching this scene the first time.
Gus knew something was up when he heard about the poisoned child
This is the moment Walt turned into Dr Eggman
Did anyone else think from walt's perspective gus was actually very close and would've seen him on the rooftop
Binoculars
It's just the zoom on the camera when it's behind Walt. When it's behind Gus you can see it would've been nearly impossible for him to see Walt
For those who were wondering what happened here, this is where they display Gus’ animal telepathy powers to spy on Walt. Vravo Bince
