Good video.. but one point most people don't know is Sig Klien had Kettlebells in his Gym in NY way back in the 1920's, he had globe barbells, kettlebells, clubs, etc. What an amazing place to train that must have been.

I have a 2 pood kettlebell from 19th century Imperial Russia at home. It's still in a pretty damn good condition. The window of the handle is a bit too small to properly snatch that kettlebell. Thanks for the history Taco and Steve.

A kettlebell is like a sword to a samurai, it is the ultimate weapon for strength, physically and mentally.

I read onec that KB was known and used by Greeks but with a little bit deferent shape....later it was used by Turkish or ottomans as a training tool for the soldiers.....one of the Ottoman Sultans used to swing his 104 KG KB for an hour so no wonder if you hear the word Turkish get up exercise....some of these KB is still kept at Taqseem museum in Istanbul but there grip is not comfortable as todays KB

    KETTLEBELLS ARE FUN !!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
    I OWN A 20 KG, 32 KG, AND A 40 KG KETTLEBELL. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM.
I ACTUALLY KEEP THEM IN MY BEDROOM AND TRAIN IN MY BEDROOM TOO. 👍👍
I AM NOT GOING TO WASTE ANY TIME TRAVELING TO AND FROM A GYM.
MY FAVORITE EXERCISES ATM ARE "AROUND THE BODY" SWING AND FIGURE 8 THROUGH MY LEGS. 🔥🔥🔥
I START WARMING UP WITH YOGA SUN SALUTES FOR 15 / 20 MINUTES, THEN PICK UP THE 20 KG KB, AND THEN THE 32 KG KB.
THE 40 KG KB I MAINLY USE IT FOR ONE ARM DEADLIFTS.

I have recently purchased a powder coated 35 lb. Kettlebell from Kettlebell Kings. I still intimidated by it. The swings I felt comfortable in. But I don't feel right with the cleans and more so with snatches.

Unless you've mastered the clean, you should not even be looking at snatching. If you study this video you will master the clean soon enough ruclips.net/video/0BBKQQ4kZ5A/видео.html

@@Cavemantraining recently did snatches in my backyard wearing underwear only with a 24kg kb in the rain.
It's a blast you need full concentration to do it to avoid the kb slipping out but my how satisfying.

Dr. Vladislav Kraeyvsky who introduced Kettlebell to the Russian wasn't a russian. He was born in Poland - dr Władysław Krajewski.

I think you’re talking about the stone locks. Like the kettlebell but the handle is in the middle like two bricks attached together unlike the kettlebell where the handle is on top but yes they’re very similar.
