    I personallly don't like the ones that aren't broken down into chapters. I like to be able to see the topics discussed and skip around listening to what interests me/skipping over what doesn't. Can't be doing 1.5 hour blind episodes.

    I was a full time concrete carpenter and never went to the gym. Got promoted to more office work and got super fat picked up kettle bells. It mimiks real world work very well. Its interesting to see all these fitness coaches realizing what actually helps a person become and stay healthier are the movements working on the farm or on a construction site are very normal. I know there are a lot of injuries associated with construction, which i think stem from a lack of understanding of how bodies move and repetitive motion. Being a drummer, i have always done things both handed/sided to break up monotonous movements and it helped keep me injury free.
    Its intersting to view Dre and see things
    From my life line up with his philosophy.

    I fell in love with this man and his lifestyle when you had him on pretty darn recently, and, I agree, kettlebells and clubbells are so versatile that I would definitely rank them higher than basic barbells and dumbbells and I'm the kind of guy that swings a 205 lb kettlebell for 4x8 and definitely having more in the tank

    I personally am weaker on my chest and back/arms. I can attest that ignoring any specific upper body exercises really helped my strength in those areas. I've been trying to add more chest exercises and practicing some pulls ups each day. I'm going to be getting pretty strong soon I hope. :D I am hoping to be able to do 3-5 pulls up unassisted by the end of the year.

    • @sveng35
      @sveng35 2 месяца назад +1

      Keep it up bud. Pull ups are a bitch, especially if you're a heavy man. I weigh 95 and can pull up 4x with strict form. I now keep milking the LAT pulldowns with different handles at a lighter weight. Helps to really feel the muscle, especially with slow negatives.
      Cheers.

      @@sveng35 Thanks! Yeah Im around 240lbs. I have some weight to lose of course but I do think my height and muscle account for some of that. lol I can do 1 proper form (2 chin ups). With a band I can 3-4 reps. I practice something each day to maintain and improve.

    How do kettle bell purists train their chest? He also didn't really answer the question about arms.
    I have a theory that all the kettle bell people just post their fancy kettle bell moves and don't show everything else they do/did to build the physique that they're capitalizing on.

    • @sveng35

      Don't think there are many purists when it comes to kettlebells bud, they just compliment whatever you're already doing.

      You can do kettlebell bench press or floor press as well as chest flies.
      A lot of "purists" also train various calisthenics movements such as pushups and dips.
      There's also kettlebell pushups where you put one hand on the bell and the other on the floor. It puts more emphasis on one side.
      Vertical presses also train parts of the chest.
      Fitness modalities are just a tool in your repertoire, you should use what's available to you, but more importantly, you should do what you enjoy!
