Your patterns have been my favorite so far ❤❤ started my sewing journey last year and it’s so nice to have your sew alongs to reference! Please keep making videos 🌺
So excited to see what sewing adventures await you this year 🎉 I took a break for RUclips of a bit and your content is what brought me back. Wishing a happy and productive year ❤
I would love a pattern/video of the denim top! Also would look so cute with an option for how to make it with like claps/hooks rather than ties so it can be even more closed towards the top? Thank you for your content!!
I'd love a video on how to do your skirt pattern! I'm very picky when it comes to skirts and can't usually find one that I like in stores, so I'd love to learn how to make my own!!
Sitting here watching you in cold snowy UK I’m so jealous of your summer. I love all your Pinterest picture book designs . I look forward to to all you’re new makes for 2025 . Happy New Year 🎉
I really like the looks, especially the denim tie top and the skirt. I would like a tutorial for skirts, for me it is sometimes difficult to get the right fit with skirts and I really like the way you explain things.
I love the way you explain your thought process!! Everything turned out so cute :) I can't wait to use one of your patterns, so happy I found your channel
Thanks for another great video Caroline! I love the white top. Also I think a video on how to make the skirt pattern would be great. Happy new year, i hope you’re feeling better
Happy new year!!! 🎊🎆 I made your Becca dress in the summer out of an Indian sari and it turned out great 😊 I wonder if you would make a blouse that princess Diana wore on a polo match in 1985? It’s a white blouse with puffy sleeves just like your Becca dress and the special thing is the giant square marine collar in front that almost covers the whole front side. She matched the blouse with a tight fit turquoise floral pencil skirt and a cognac colored belt, which makes it sommery and alive 😊
Hi Coraline, Absolutely stunning work as always! I’m completely in love with the pattern-it’s so inspiring that I’ve already started rummaging through my scrap fabric stash to try something similar. The denim one especially caught my eye-I’m obsessed with it! If you wouldn’t mind, could you quickly explain how the bows on the denim top were covered? I’m a bit stuck on that part! 😊 Thanks a bunch
I'm so glad you liked it, my dear! I cut a 4 cm wide strip of cotton fabric (since I didn't have enough of the denim anymore), that was wide enough to cover the interfacing I added + seam allowance. This strip I cut on the straight grain because the center front was a straight line, but the neckline strips I cut on the bias. If you need more assistance with finishing necklines/armholes with bias binding, I recommend watching the Mylena Dress tutorial. I sewed the strip to the center front panel, right sides together, covering the ties. Then I trimmed the seam allowance to reduce bulk, folded the strip to the inside of the garment, and ironed it in place. And to finish it off, I hemmed the strip by folding it 1 cm inside again before topstitching. I stitched it 2 cm away from the edge in total.
Hey, I love your patterns and content! I have the same sewing machine as you (and I think the same topstitching thread). I used to have the same problem with the bobbin thread looping like crazy like it did in your video. But I found out that you don’t have to put the topstitching thread in the bobbin. Just use your normal sewing thread! It will save you a lot of heartache, just thought I would share.
Thank you for the tip!!! I was actually using regular thread inside the bobbin, but back in the days, I also didn't know you didn't need to use the thicker topstitching thread for the bobbin, and I used to always struggle with that 😅 not sure what happened with my machine that day, to be honest!
Thats a great question! For the denim skirt: I wanted to add a slit to one of the sides, so I finished the seams before sewing, because I needed to iron the seam open afterwards in order to finish the slit the way I did. The rest of the seams I didn't actually need to finish beforehand, but I wanted to keep the same topstitching detail on both sides of all the seams, so that's why I made them the same way. For the top: you could also finish the seams before, but I have noticed this armhole princess seam looks a tiny bit better when you finish it with an overlocker (because I trim the seam allowance with it) and topstich it towards the center panel. But I have made the Mylena Dress (same style princess seams) finishing them before and it also worked. It's just a preference of mine after trying it with both methods.
Hello, could you Please advice me what should I do if i don’t have overlock, but don’t want finish with zig zag stitch? French seam, biastape? Thank you!
It depends on the type of seam. The princess seams: I don't recommend french seams, it would be too bulky/strange to sew the curve. I would finish it with bias binding. The seams of the skirt: for this case you could sew with french seams, but if you want to add the slit the way I did, you'd need to finish the panels before sewing them to each other. So you could also use bias binding, or you could add +1cm seam allowance and fold the panel twice and topstitch (as if it's a hem) For the bottom of the facing of the puff sleeves top/for the sleeve seam: bias binding For the side seams of the top/shoulder seams: french seams. For the shorts: french seams (you would need to add extra seam allowance there). For the top of the elastic/hem: just fold it twice. If there's something I didn't mention let me know
Such a powerful message! It’s clear that success isn’t about avoiding challenges but about how we adjust and move forward from them.
Thank you, my dear ❤️
Love all the looks. Can’t wait for the “everything I made in 2024” video.

Nice! Can I made it without a industrial machine? I only have a domestic machine.
How do you decide whether to overlock each side separately like with the denim skirt, or overlocking the seams together like with the denim top?
Thats a great question! For the denim skirt: I wanted to add a slit to one of the sides, so I finished the seams before sewing, because I needed to iron the seam open afterwards in order to finish the slit the way I did. The rest of the seams I didn't actually need to finish beforehand, but I wanted to keep the same topstitching detail on both sides of all the seams, so that's why I made them the same way.

But I have made the Mylena Dress (same style princess seams) finishing them before and it also worked. It's just a preference of mine after trying it with both methods.
I really prefer your voice than the "pista en español"
I really would love to Made My pinterest favs outfits
Or u could use another fabric as facing
Hello, could you Please advice me what should I do if i don’t have overlock, but don’t want finish with zig zag stitch? French seam, biastape? Thank you!
It depends on the type of seam.
The princess seams: I don't recommend french seams, it would be too bulky/strange to sew the curve. I would finish it with bias binding.
The seams of the skirt: for this case you could sew with french seams, but if you want to add the slit the way I did, you'd need to finish the panels before sewing them to each other. So you could also use bias binding, or you could add +1cm seam allowance and fold the panel twice and topstitch (as if it's a hem)
For the bottom of the facing of the puff sleeves top/for the sleeve seam: bias binding
For the side seams of the top/shoulder seams: french seams.
For the shorts: french seams (you would need to add extra seam allowance there). For the top of the elastic/hem: just fold it twice.
If there's something I didn't mention let me know
