OMG it wasn't that great. i have been drawing for a year or two and i can confidently say my skill is better than hers (in anime drawing) if you aren't on par with hers than maybe practice more idk
The eyes were realism eyes, not anime eyes. Chin was too pointy, ear was too low. It was a solid first attempt, but nowhere near "great anime". Something tells me you're definitely under 16

I think the secret to making thin, smooth lines is to turn your drawing around OFTEN to get a good angle that lets your draw with the natural pivot of your wrist. Lets you draw faster and with less ~wobble~. Also, don't worry about your ink line matching up *perfectly* with your sketch line, better to have a good looking line with less than perfect placement.

I've been drawing anime for about all my life :/, I can say it's a good start...WATCHING U DRAW ANIME IS ALRIGHT BUT I JUST GET SO FRUSTRATED WITH REALISM LIKE HOW DO PEOPLE EVEN KSGSKSJSHS
And if ur doing some really pale fair skinned anime characters you should do a more reddish shadow
Hey I draw mostly anime and cartoony art so here are some tips if your ever struggling (especially with men)
I started drawing when I was about 7 and got really serious and good at when my 9th birthday came along. For anime boy hair I always like to take a lighter and slightly duller pencil to do the sketch. I usually start with a base depending on what hair you can start with different shapes I usually use a circle then build out the different strands and the trick is to make them slightly uneven in different places (usually I do size but you can also to width,style and more) then I add texture a way to do that is adding lines for strands and shading + more. Then I use posca paint markers to add color and highlights to the hair. For the face shape if it is a male I would make the face more straight and rectangular square shape and bold jaw line and chin. For eyes witch is one of the most important part of the drawing I start by making a simple slightly curved line then make it border in the middle of the line I add a half circle and then add a piuple then I add shading and highlights after I make a line connecting to the privious for the under part of the line but still now connecting to the other side. For eyebrows I hake a simple line but make the ends go down then connect the two sides then color and shade. For the mouth I make it pretty simple but it depend on what expression your character is making if it is neutral then I’d make a very slightly curved line for sad I’d make it more curved and connecting it at the bottom almost mirroring the line above. Another tip for hair is to add a straight line were ever you want your Divisonto be in the hair

My tips and tricks and possible improvements for your anime drawing (which is still very nice tbh):
1. In terms of anime, they generally fit the normal proportions of a human, BUT eyes and mouths are exaggerated and oversimplified respectively. With eyes it seemed like you were scared to draw them too large which is fine if you want that to characterize or stylize but it can look a little bit small with the rest. As well as the jaws being generally smoother and curve WAY up if you have a normal sized chin. (Which you did, and normally anime would have their chins very petite and small closer to the mouth.)
2. Your lines! They are very nice but the easiest way to do them is FIRST! After you do your rough sketch you want to define it as much as possible into what is basically lines already but without ink. After you want to perfectly trace that and then erase the pencil and THEN color.
3. Your coloring is pretty amazing but ways you could improve is with the skin, you would want more dynamic and sharp shading. Basically no blending for shadows, only with color. Choose a color that is slightly more reddish and dark than the normal skin and shade using that. That’s just generic shading and such.
4. Your hair is perfect! All that’s need improvement is the volume. Anime hair is wild so play with your hearts content and make it so it’s large and in charge! Just stick within the general realms of reality.

When I was scrolling through TikTok I liked a drawing video then a couple hours later I went on RUclips and saw that she posted a new vid so... I actually draw in a very stylistic style myself. I've only been drawing for a couple years. But here's some advices if you're so inclined:
When it comes to fine lining I suggest variation, make some lines thicker where you want it to stand out more. Also it's a good rule of thumb to have the ears between the nose and eyebrow in a question mark shape. You can split the head into thirds, the top being the forehead, middle being eyebrows, eyes and the bulb of the nose with nostrils and mouth at the bottom. The head isn't a circle but an oval so that there is room for le brain.
If you continue with this style I highly suggest looking at other styles and how they use shapes and how they exaggerate them to create a unique style.
This being said, I am no critic or professional, these are just common guidelines, NOT RULES. Personally I really enjoy the piece and it's very well done overall.

Oh my gosh, I know all about the shaky hands. I have tremors, and one day just had to accept the fact that I'll never be able to do art at all. It was heartbreaking, but at least I can watch amazing people like you do what I can't. Watching others is bittersweet, because not being able to do what you can do is crushing, but sometimes I can imagine that I can do it too, and it's wonderful. Thank you for sharing your fun videos and equally fun personality.
Tremors shouldn't stop ya from wanting to do your passion, I'm sure you'll find a form of art that you love and do well despite the challenges ❤️
Art is really subjective, art can be almost anything so don't say that you'll never be able to do art at all ^°^

Edit: Rae here are some tips on drawing anime. I’m in no place to say this tho but the chin was a little long. You can also use the chin to show age. I normally draw a circle, a line in the place where I want to pinpoint where my character faces, then draw the chin, with things like age in mind. Then, on the circle lines, I draw another line to where I put the eyes and yea. Of course this is what I do so you don’t have to do this.

Little tip with manga facial proportions: generally the whole face lies in the bottom 2/3rds of the head and manga heads are a bit more vertically squashed.
Other than that it's really good for something you feel uncomfortable doing!
Idk about that. I've seen that very commonly in anime, however, some artists have more proportional styles so I think it entirely depends on the artist themselves. Anime isn't really exactly even an art style since it's literally just comic art in Japan and every artist has their own art style based on a loose set of "guidelines" I guess you could call them and that's large heads, large eyes, exaggerated features, and dramatic hairstyles, etc. So I wouldn't even go as far to exactly call it a style since, again, every artist has a different style themselves within the "art style"
@@ReverieOfThorns i get where youre coming from, but with more 'serious' manga styles they also have very defined facial features and theyre usually elongated.
Ive seen manga styles split mainly into two categories: line dense stylised realism (For exampe Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul, and Attack on Titan), and more toony exaggerated proportions (more commonly associated with anime from the 90s-00s eg Pokemon, Sailor Moon, and Naruto. However more recent ones are My Hero Academia, Kakegurui, Danganronpa).
Not that there arent any inbetweens such as instagram artist @thececilz but they display the difference between manga and anime styles. Manga can have more 'toony' shapes but then the detail and rendering is very high detail. Or another artist would be Sakimichan. She does incredibly realistic rendering of something that would be considered manga.
Rae's didnt really follow either but from what I gathered with the large head, spiky hair, and heavily stylised eyes she was going for more of an old-school style

Here's some tips for the lines. Don't grip the fineliner too hard, cause you'll transfer your shaking mercilessly. Don't put your hand down on the paper cause it limits your pen movement and you could just drag the ink everywhere. Draw the line in ONE smooth motion to prevent "overlap" hooks between lifting the pen and putting it back down.
Thanks to my teacher from technical drawing class about 11 years ago. Trust me, we had to be able to draw smooth curves and straight lines without tools and this is exactly what he had told us 😉

The things she’s bad at are better than my best drawing EVER.
Like an anime artist that I am here are some tips:
-don’t focus on proportions that much
-do no add that lot of shadows, lights and don’t blend a lot
-to first fine line and then color
-don’t make that much details, it isn’t necessary
-BIG eyes, not so realistic lips, a divided line for lips is okay
-not so realistic an detailed hair

Oh my god. I LOVE the anime style but I can't draw with lines.. when I sketch it it looks fine, but then when I take the fineliner, everything falls apart
