The paper-circle thing on 9:23? yes, you guessd it right, it's an oil absorber (can be found in Daiso japan). It's actually used while cooking though, like you'd make a beef stew and you need to scoop out the fat floating on top, so you use the paper circles. Using it in restaurants to remove chilli oil is overkill though. just ask the cook to make it non-spicy!

I think that soup cover is to remove excess liquid, not a specific one, but just to soak up extra so that it's less of a soup and more noodles. I also wish we'd get links for some of these inventions too cuz these are pretty cool.

3:09 I've build houses for a living and studied home construction for decades and the reason why the laundry room is away from the bedrooms is because historically, the machines were very noisy and would keep people awake at night. New machines are much quieter but still can keep people awake... additionally. it makes more sense from a structure point of view to place the room close to either the kitchen or bathroom because you have to run plumbing to the room and if it's close to one of those, it takes less work and material to run lines and drains from a room that already has them installed...

The tool used at 10:30 is called a roadry cutter. It makes cutting fabric a lot easier and it’s like a very sharp pizza cutter
There's nothing new about a laundry chute. That one apparently has a vacuum assist, but gravity alone can do the job just fine.
