Ik you aren't going out rn, but a good point of advice for blending the face is using a heat gun. Monster clay melts in the heat, so it will automatically smoothen out. It also lets you shape the clay it a little easier if you need to.

I have sculpted many things for tv shows. You can smooth the skin texture by running a wet sponge over it. But lumpy misshapen skin can only be fixed by more sculpting to get better at it.

A little tip: it’s better to press holes in your head, where the eyes should be and literally create eyeballs, that you put in the holes. Afterwards you can create the eyelids and lay them on top and blend them with the skin of the face. It is a lot easier and also looks realistic!!

For smoothing out the clay, cold tools or clay work a lot better since it won’t stick. In sculpture we’d use the back of spoons or butter knives so our hands wouldn’t melt it!
