Some of you asked how I decreased my tilt, so here it is -- our first ever "skills & drills" video.
Here are a couple of quick drills on how to decrease your tilt (spin) to create a stronger ball roll and more consistent ball reaction.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions & which skill/drill you would like to see in the future!

What about if you need to rotate the ball as you move far left? More axis rotation. That should not effect your track?
Love the video, my tilt is naturally low or track near thumb and been trying to do the opposite ( your before shot ). Nice Video ! Thanks
ok this is good information; I've been struggling with the same issue and for the longest time. I did not understand what was going on, I was feeling like all my equipment was hooking too much and I could not understand why, so now I do like you say, I keep the index finger close to the middle finger and spread the pinky out a little and when I release, I'm focusing on staying more under the ball and I really just let the ball roll off the hand without any turn knowing that the ball will hook on its own, and its been working out much better with good predictable smooth ball motion.
I have one. I just recently got my wife a bowling gauntlet. A robbie rev 3. She's having difficulties using it. She wants to suitcase it, but ends up holding onto the ball for too long and the ball ends up spinning 120 degrees (Backwards). I'm trying to get her to come up the back of it, but she feels defeated. Might be a topic to touch on, how to use one.
My track is always closer to my fingers and farther from my thumb. Not sure what that means. I also am more up the back of the ball but mine don't do what yours is doing i think because I'm not as much under the ball. I also have 20 tilt with 35 rotations. I'm definitely going to work on these drills more than what I have. Great video
I am struggling with this. I learn it that way with lots of axis tilt 10-15 years ago and stuck a habit with it until now. When I don’t axis tilt, I tend to not cup the ball and it forward rolls and the ball goes straighter, with less revs too. I am gonna try this method and see if changes anything. But I can see that it strains the wrist less and more efficient during bottom swing to hold briefcase style.
Valerie, it would be nice to see how you hold your ball in the beginning of your stance and then how you turn it back like you said to be behind it and then your full release with the full approach maybe even slow motion… can you do that? That’s what I’m trying to do which is not have so much tilt.
What you are saying is true. Axis rotation isn't always bad. It there is dry boards to the right you get some extra area to the right. The trick is to increase or decrease rotation when it is called for.
I think the flaring is more related to drilling/core position than cover..
Thank you so much for sharing I am a low track bowler and I am excited to try it tomorrow
Did you change your layout with the new track location?
Suitecase release I use when bowl on house pattern😀😀😀😀
