I found a interesting watch; the Omega DeVille Hour Vision. It has a very interesting case with see through sides and uses their inhouse calibre 8900 movement. It comes in two versions. One with and one without scilicon hairspring. The ones WITH scilicon hairsprings all say "master chronometer" on the dial instead of just "chronometer" as on the non scilicon varients. Its a easy way to differentiatie them! Can find them around 2500 USD pre owned. A killer deal for a really unique watch. And probably one of Omega's last non scilicon hairspring movements ever.
Hi Group - Any suggestions for a watch with day night indicator function with in-house movements? My budget is under 10k. Love the channel Bill. Keep up with this informative content. Cheers~
Here you go George: www.ebay.com/itm/296271879152?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28 I have a Parmigiani Hemisphere and find it is by far the best dual time; dual night/day watch available. You can also set it to off-set for places like India where their time is on the half-hour. This is also the best price I could find. Good hunting! Take care, Bill
Hey Bill, Dressage is a great choice. I’d encourage folks to search for the one with a moon phase as it also includes a retrograde date! All the best, Ed
Hi Bill, would love to see you make a video on a progression of 3Hz, manually wound watches. Entry point haute horology through complications like tourbillon.
@@watchartsci My understanding is that the Dandy Arty’s are automatics and the Dandy ‘s (ref W11281-20B) are manual wind based on the ETA7001 movement. Another interesting entry point is the (Amazon description) Whatswatch Parnis Watch 44mm Black dial Seagull 6497 [ETA6497 clone) Mechanical Hand Chain Movement Men's Watch PA-01188. $87! Amazing watch.
Three great choices Bill. I've always liked the Hermes Dressage line. I would love to have a Daniel Roth, I just can't get past the Roman numerals on the Excalibur. I don't know anything about Louis Erard watches. I guess I'll have to do a little research. Thanks for the video Bill. Best regards, Brian
I find the Hermes Dressage reference with the Vaucher movements to be “no brainers,” particularly because the current Hermes H08 sport watches (although equipped with Vaucher movement) are designs which do less and less for me with each viewing while the Dressages are much better looking and more versatile for those who do not live in shorts and flip flops.
Hi Bill. The Dressage would make for a great everyday wearer. And a quality 40mm gold cased watch for just shy of three thousand dollars! Well that seems like the bargain of the century. In comparison, brand new, the asking price for a very unassuming, but gold, 35mm Tissot quartz is around £2000.00.
Yes, that BVL 191 is a quite nice movement ("...Ceramic ball bearings for the -bidrectional winding- rotor. Total of 191 components..." ... so that's where the '191' comes from Zack! Take care, Bill

Great finds Bill, it is always good to know how much one can save with some watch research :)
Abdul, you are one collector who really understands research-that my wife considers it 'play'... and she's right. Take care, Bill
You really understand research, Abdul. My wife considers my 'research' as 'play.' (In this case she's absolutely right.) Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci hehehe I totally know what you mean Bill 😁👍🏽
Excellent picks Dr.!

Having spent far too long looking at Hermes! My conclusion, I still prefer the Slim d’Hermes range but Dressage has some more interesting options.
I was going for the entry level, but you absolutely right, Ed! There are some very unique Dressages! Take care, Bill
Uber intersting as always. Greets from Germany
Thanks for coming Axisskin! Take care, Bill

Duncan, I'm not sure whether I'd know where to start in a progression. 🤔 Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci How about ETA7001 in say, a Chaumet Dandy? I bought one from Chron24 for a little over $1K.

Before a Louis Erard, I'd keep looking at DRs and some more RGs to your taste. Take care, Bill
Thanks Bill. I did a little more digging. I'm going to take your advice.

actually been looking at 36mm variants. Its a insane watch for the price.

Hi Howard, I quite agree. The Dressage is quietly unique and is in a class by itself. Take care, Bill

Tuna, I'd just skip the quartz, though. Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci I agree Bill. But just as a means of comparison, why pay £2000 for a quartz watch, when your automatic choice has more gold for $3000?
bulgari bulgari with bvl 191 are on the secondary market for damn near 1000 😂 it’s absurd value for money
