    Completely agree with everything you mentioned! No truck is perfect, but I love my truck and hope the reliability holds up as much as Toyota is known for

    Great video!!! One of the most sensible assessments I've seen and heard concerning the new tundra. Beautiful truck and your property is even more beautiful. Please keep the videos coming.

    Yeah I remember saying what a good truck it is. I like it. Toyota in general are renowned as almost indestructible and so last forever . Good choice of vehicle . A good work horse and a lovely ride. Range Rovers are very similar when compared to what you said about the high quality suspension and smooth ride. Well done getting that one there me man ....And definitely continue to Enjoy it . Ive successfully upgraded most of the cars I have owned . It's fun to upgrade them and worth while doing so .

    Nice review Tyson. I like the reliability of the Tundra. While hard on fuel, the motors are virtually bullet proof. Hope that knee heals up fast my friend!

    Good video Brother. I still think the 350 limited and the ram crew cab are still more useful than a half ton. But each truck has its pros and cons and uses. Take it easy on your leg / knee.

    I just traded in my beloved last year of the Tundra Platinum 2021 I force V8 for a New Ram 2500 HD due to me buying a 5 acre property in the White Mountains of NH that I’m going to build a log cabin house on. I need a truck that can support a big plow & tow skid steers . A 1/2 ton just won’t cut it for me .

    My platinum 2024 tundra with the avs suspension and air bags in the back is by no means smooth. The back end is a bit rough when going over rough roads and jerks you a bit. I was surprised how rough it is. And I verified it’s not hitting the bump stops. It’s about 2-3 inches space in between them. Otherwise I love the truck.

    Good video!, what is your horse power, and torque?, I'm looking at the Toyota , to trade my ram for, and I think Toyota offers 3 different hp versions, I tow often, up to 7,500# , my ramrebel with 395hp and 410tq, 392 gears does a great job towing, and I don't want to lose that confidence when towing, but I really want the long term reliability Toyota is known for, and the smooth ride...

    We don’t know yet if Toyota has exceeded the competition. Time, along with proven reliability and longevity will tell that story. I’m sure when the 07 models came out the same opinion was said then but time has shown that the 5.7 truck was light years ahead of the competition. Some might say the 5.7 is still ahead of the current competition.

    I love the Toyota and if I was buying a new 1/2 ton it would be a tundra I understand I need to sacrifice some features that the other trucks have and that’s fine I’ll trade that for resale and build quality. I’m the same way with my atvs I love Yamaha even though they don’t have a vtwin I’ll still buy a grizzly because they have such low maintenance and excellent resale

    MBRB makes an exhaust for the new Toyota.
    Me personally I would keep it quiet because a 6 cylinder truck with exhaust work just don’t sound right to me.
    That said, I would opt for a dual exhaust out both sides because that out the drivers side thing looks odd to me even though it’s kind of Toyota going back to its roots.

      Just listened to the new flowmaster exhaust for the Tundra, they made it a dual set up, one pipe on each side, I think it sounds really good. I upgraded my Tundra to the TRD dual exhaust but its sound is still very mild.

    What did you do to yourself break ankle. The price of new trucks is out of this world, I looked at the local Ford dealer website they have a 2024 F450 pickup for 130,000 dollars 🥴who in their right mind would pay that for a new truck. I did a build and price on a truck similar to your Toyota a little less options it came to 68,000 dollars, I'd guess it would compare to an XLT Ford.

    Toyota has killed their trucks by using turbocharged engines and through the roof prices. My opinion is not changing.

    • @richardoaks3597
      @richardoaks3597 9 месяцев назад +3

      I think you need to put yourself in Toyotas shoes and look at the North American market. You can’t build or sell your global diesel here without a bunch of emissions crap and certifications. Probably can’t sell a v8 without cylinder deactivation, what’s your next bet for building a reliable but better output engine… probably turbo charging, and I’m sure that’s why they over-engineered the hell out of the cooling system for these new trucks so they could last. Time will tell. I think the automakers have been put between a rock and hard place with emissions BS and trying to deliver us more powerful and efficient vehicles at the same time.

    • @gearmonkey5904

      @@richardoaks3597 I think that the US government needs to get out of the EV business first and then stop the war on oil and gasoline and diesel vehicles

    • @richardoaks3597
      @richardoaks3597 9 месяцев назад

      @@gearmonkey5904 absolutely. Starts with Americans waking up and voting leaders who put them first instead of these virtue signalling politicians like Gavin newsom, Joe Biden, etc. the impact and influence these sell out politicians have is unaffordable and unacceptable. California sets these ambitious environmental targets and basically the rest of North America is forced to follow suit because California is one of the biggest car markets and the automakers adjust to their protocols and the rest of us follow suit.

    • @gearmonkey5904
      @gearmonkey5904 9 месяцев назад

      @@stevenwilkes9373 I have looked at and test drove both the 2024 Tundra and 2024 Tacoma. The new downgraded turbo charge engines are not as impressive as the previous engines are. The prices are through the roof and the quality of interior feels cheaper than the previous generations. That 5.7 L V-8 is a beast of an engine. The 3.5 V-6 is also a great engine.
