I pretty much stuck with the standard specs with the exception of the stainless steel jumbo frets, white pickups, and sapphire blue color. I'm hoping to get the jb200c in a couple of months in purple burst.

The Walnut top was a good choice. I went with the traditional Sapphire Blue like Jason had.
+krelbar How does it sound when it comes to metal? I am on the verge of buying it but there's no "true" metal reviews for it.....for obvious reasons...but yeah...worth asking if it sounds decent for metal lol
+1097jad When you say 'metal'...I am assuming you mean dropped tuned ultra high gain stuff?
I don't really play that, I'm more of an old school 80s metal player...this guitar excels in this....but with the beefiness of the pickups, the ability to switch between active and passive...I see no reason why this guitar couldn't handle ANY metal you throw at it.
Oh no, I should have specified more, I meant more stuff like megadeth/ other thrash...so yeah 80s metal is definitely what I meant! thank you!
I just love the versatility of it, knowing that it can play what I like the most is...well time to go sell my legs xD

Sweet. If anyone manages to pry my EBMM JP13 from my cold dead hands, I might actually get GAS for this guitar :) I would suggest having the backing tracks quieter or your guitar louder; your guitar was nearly drowned out. Otherwise, great vid!

It's a JB200SC...yes there is a walnut option...
That is a beautiful guitar. I'd be interested to hear it without the backing track.
It doesn't have enough knobs and switches. It needs at least 14 knobs and 37 switches.

mohd harith Jackson owned the original design back then or something like that so they couldn’t use it
sorry but those are not dimarzios, carvin only uses there own pickups on there guitars, exception made for the jason becker tribute numbers, and you never put the tone zone on the neck , it´s an only neck pickup to much high output! nice playing and i gonna order 3 neil zaza models soon, all the best
Who said they are Dimarzio pickups. .I compared them to a specific Dimarzio models yes..These are Carvin M22SD and M22V pickups...Said that clearly in the video..
it's beauty. i love carvins it's not that shit like fender or gibson and is cheap in amazing quality.
Where is the serial number? I have one...I read it is under the truss rod cover, but it isn't under mine
Carvin serial numbers are on the input jack..

What, in your opinion does the walnut do for the tone? I That thing must have some good, chunky low-end between the walnut top and the mahog back! Thank you in advance for writing back. Al Williams Im not realy a fan of Signature guitars..Most of my Guitars are custom made Carvins...That JB carvin that you see in the video is a custom shop guitar..The base of it is a JB model yes..I did it to support Jason and his illness..
Hi, When i ordered it it came with the regular truss rod cover..Carvin shipped me a Jason Becker one after and i installed it.. Carvin is a custom shop guitar factory you can customize any model you like...

Wouldnt be a JB anymore...The Jason becker signature model is a replica of Jason's Carvin guitar that he played in the late 80s early nineties.

I just ordered mine! Super excited! I went with the standard blue and also stainless steel frets.
I also have a Legacy 3 head and cab. My question is what kind of effects do you use? And is the guitar a true shredding machine? That's kind of what I am hoping!

Usualy I use my Rode mic and channel everything thro the mixer but it got lost...Went live with My Canon internal mic...
