Is it possible for these signs to differ regionally? Some of the signs I learnt (from a native BSL user in a class) for various months differ from in this video.
Patricia S I think they must be somewhat regional. I’m learning BSL in Aberdeen, Scotland and my signs for the months are pretty much all different! I’d love to know the answer to this 😊

I want to assume it's a matter of context and lip reading
It depends then on lip reading
Months, Mother and Monday are all the same
I find it very interesting that in America use ASL which is based on the French sign language and yet we're still English speaking like Britain. It's strange to see another alphabet that is so seemingly counterintuitive to ASL
The sign at the beginning meaning months, I thought was used for the word Mother.
