Really enjoy watching your journey through Berserk. I look forward to the new updates. It's one of the greatest reading experiences of my life. After watching your 'My 10 Favorite Books' video, I decided to give the fantasy genre another shot (I already liked it but hadn't read much) and it turns out I'm a fantasy guy. I read the first book of the Malazan series and the first book of the Bloodsworn Saga and loved them both. Now I have the sequel to both series on hand and I'm trying to decide whether to read The Blade Itself or The Dragonbone Chair next.
@@hamz7044 what a journey! Bloodsworn was a great choice. Diving into Malazan like that takes guts but I’m glad you enjoyed it so much. Between the two you’re considering, it just depends. If you want a slow burn, Dragonbone chair is where it’s at. If you want something you can get through quickly with equal enjoyment, then go with Abercrombie. Both of those authors are in my top 5 in terms of style and prose. Both have had a big impact on how I characterize and give my characters voice.
@@Chance.Dillon Thanks for the advice! I think I'll go with The Blade Itself. Because one of the books I'm currently reading is American Prometheus, and it's like 900 pages long, so a quicker read would be good for me. By the way, I'm also trying to write as much as I can. Any tips or advice for me? It's nothing professional, I'm not trying to publish or anything, maybe in the future, but for now it's just a hobby for me. Anyway, good luck with your book. I look forward to see you publish your work!
@@hamz7044 American Prometheus is so interesting to me-one I have to get to. Excited to hear your thoughts on Abercrombie when you finish it up!
