I was born and raised about 45 minutes from where Loretta grew up. I’m not a country music fan at all but I love Loretta Lynn. She reminds me of so many ladies I knew and respected when I was young. She was the very definition of a good woman from Appalachia. They’re as genuine as the day is long. They don’t make’em like Loretta anymore.
Loretta: “I didn’t pay my dues to be here”.
Doolittle: “We’ll pay them later on then.”

I fell in love with Loretta Lynn when I was 16 years old when she came out with the song “ Somebody Somewhere Don’t Know What He’s Missing Tonight “. I’ve been a huge fan ever since 1976!!! I even had my downstairs bathroom decorated of all Loretta Lynn’s Albums covers!!! Back in 1982 Your are such apart of my soul now Loretta thank you for your heartfelt songs that you gave me throughout those crying lonely nights. Rest In Peace I’ll NEVER FORGET YOU!!! Love Stella who has loved you for a very long time.
I miss Mr Tubb on the Opry. I really liked how he asked for people to clap for the talent.

In the movie, they used Ernest's 1958 version of Walking the Floor over You. What you're hearing are the legendary Billy Byrd on guitar and Buddy Emmons on steel guitar. By the time of this movie, Ernest's emphysema had wrecked his voice. In the movie, those were his present-day Texas Troubadours.
