- Bordon is a relatively new player in the boot market and like a lot of new businesses there have been teething problems. These Tukano boots are from their Wetland Collection released in February 2023 when they were using a third party in the production process. This caused delays and a three month projected delivery time extended to six months. For their latest collection "The Alps" October 2023 they have brought all production in house and are offering a version 2 as well as the style you see here.

Nice video! I’m still waiting on my W&C Black Latigo ordered on May 09. I suspect the wait will be worth it, but it’s a bit disappointing. I also ordered an Isidro from their Save The Ocean release. I like to support these small passionate makers, but that can mean having to wait longer. Your boots look awesome! Also that GS pair is a keeper!
Thank you. I don't want to be too critical of Bordon but i twas annoying to see people getting delivery of the following release before I had mine. The wait is worth it Tony.
I have 3 pair of boots "on order" with Bordon. Running behind on delivery of the 1st pair. You cannot beat GRANT STONE. They are starting to fill up my closet!
Grant Stone have settled on a great business model. I'm sure Bordon will get there eventually.

How is the arch support on this compare to the PNW 55 last?
Question if anyone knows. Is the W&C black Latrigo a struck through or tea-core type leather?

1. What size are your Grant Stone Brass boots, in this video?
2. Are the two boots, in this video, the same size?
3. How does the boot volume of the Brass boots compare to the volume in the Tukano boots? The Brass boots look more roomy, than the Tukano's, but I'm not sure.
4. After owning your pair of Tukano's, for a about a month and a half, would you recommend them to someone else?

Great questions. GS don't do EE or half sizes this large so the Brass are 13EEE on the roomy Floyd last. They are a bit too long for me but the volume is way too much. I asked GS about this and I thought they would say 13E. No... 12EEE for Floyd or Leo. Nervously I ordered the new Garrison on the Leo in a 12EEE and the fit is identical to the Tukano 13EE. Perfect for me. I know I'm not the only person struggling with GS sizing so it's worth asking them for advice.

Def keep doing these high quality brands. And since you are in the motherland, do a visit to Trickers, Loake, Crown Northhampton would make for some great content. And a journey to Spokane Washington Colony for the PNW brands..
Thank you. I'm going to have a look in some London shops for great Northampton brands. I'm actually a Lancastrian so LANX are on my radar for when I go up to Manchester in a few months time.
So, do those blocked heels seem a bit clunky, or would a slightly dogged heel be better for lots of walking?

The Tukano is a great boot. In my size, 13EE it's close to the same size Truman on a 79 last or 12EEE for Grant Stone. Some may not like the rolling action but I do. Quality doesn't quite match those brands though but I'm being very critical here. Acid test is would I buy again - yes definitely.
I'm not the person to ask as I have fallen arches. The Bordon, Nicks and Truman are all OK for me which means not intrusive arch support.
