Super well done, as always. You have the best advice at every level of the game for these setups, ad the video footage looks good and your points. Your loadout videos are probably the best and most helpful series out there for MA right now.
That last build can be done mid game as well. Stasis 12 with rocket 8. Little less damage, but just as effective. Also, this build works great with carbine 8 or long arm 8 as well. Just depends on play style.
Well, more budget friendly than carbines or railgun. But it's an end game build. You're kind of expected to put some resources into stuff. Whether it's upgrades or purchasing costs, everything gets costly in the end game.
Thanks for making these videos I'm 3 weeks and it saves me wasting precious resources. I already have Mr 8s on my guardian so I'm doing something right they actually helped me win GM tournament 1st place on my 2nd week. Tournament though is a grind fest for 1st I wont be doing it again in a hurry unless I'm super desperate for a coins
There is also another close range build for gaurdian that i use in early game, its arc torrents with range implant, its really strong and really great taking out a lot of mechs
Hey Scape, great video as always! Just wanted to say that I have been using the Guardian SB 12 R5 with the MR8 R4 at EN20 and am completely sold. It has become my favorite Guardian build... so I absolutely agree with your choice of showing that SB16 version. I think end goal for me is still dual Carb 12s... but this combo is awesome.
Thanks man! It's definitely a solid build. I like the SB 12/mr8 too, but since the SB costs almost 3k acoins, it wasn't one I felt I should recommend. The 16 is far better costed and what you will want end game. Honestly both are great weapons though and if you already have the 12 its awesome at 20 energy.
@@scape211 Fair enough... I figured that was why. And yes, I have the 16, too, but my only 24EN mech is the Panther, and I have PC8 on it with the 16... which I found works well with the Stasis Field in certain circumstances. It's more of a sustained build meant to suppress and eat up Jug shields than a one shot killer... so I use it more for team play than as a rambo build. They both have 60m optimal range so I find myself trying to stay beyond the range of Zeps and Guardians' abilities as much as possible and that build does that.

Now that we have MR12 I think that plus MR8 is the premier Guardian build, at least at 20 energy. I’ve gone off using different guns on the same mech a bit (eg MR + carbine) except for some rare exceptions as it reduces the amount of time you can take cover and synergy with pilot related buffs. It’s a hard choice sometimes as many mechs are great with MR8 (ie KS and Ares and Jug and Zephyr) but I can’t resist being able to equip 12 and 8 instead of dual 8s, even at the expense of mobility or shield. That said one build that I find goes very well with Guardian is Arc Torrent 10 and MR8 or 12. It even works with AT6 if you want to save 10 for Zephyr. It’s not perfect cos Guardian is a bit slow but if you play in a similar peekaboo style to MR Guardian and spring out and hit them with system crash typically you will wreck the opponent before he scuttles backwards out of range. I am less enthused about running carbines on Guardian though I only have 8 and 10. Yes it’s damaging but as a sustained fire weapon you need to be out in the open more (corner shooting with just one carbine is not very damaging) and Guardian is too slow and weak to do that. Better to save the carbines for Ares or Zephyr and run MR on Guardian imo
awesome combos except for the rocket mortars. the guardian's ability is only limited at 30m range, and rocket mortars require at least 75m of range. and if an enemy comes close, how will you defend urself. it means not using your ability. but i LOVED the missile rack 8 one
Yea all the carbs are solid weapons. I do think if you are budget conscious or you are saving for end game though, you can pass over the carb8s for a time. But if you spend money in the game, they can be great to pick up early and come as a dual copy so they have immediate value.
Both are great options. I use panther more so I would pick him first. But others might prefer Guardian. I think in the case of these 2 mechs, both are top end and great for everyone. Pick which one you like best or use more, or play better with.
Yeah I love guardian with dual carbine 12s! Personally I think the railgun sucks.. I have one and it's so overrated and I've hit numerous targets and it did very little despite being strong supposedly. I wish I'd never spent the money on it...
It’s legendary one that can show up in basic and advanced crates. Very low chance in either though. Like less than 1% for that specific implant. I don’t have it either.
its not a bad one, but it depends on how well they are leveled. TL6 starts being decent once its around star 3 or 4 and the overheat happens pretty quick. PC8 also relies on upgrading to help with its initial low accuracy. So if both arent too upgraded, they may not feel too great. But overall they arent bad weapons and TL6 can pair nicely with sustain weapons since its a sustain weapon itself.

Yes, this video was made before Arc Torrent was released. Arc Torrent can be good on Guardian as it fits with his ability. You just might have to pick the right targets or time it well as quicker mechs will try to run and Guardian cant easily catch up to them.
This is something you could do at the 20 energy (4 star) spot. It's just not maximizing his energy. But if you don't have the carbine 12 yet, its not bad. Its actually a solid build for tanks and one I commonly use on brickhouse.
@@JaceTMSUltimate For the Longarm 10? Yea its not bad to get, but making is dual just for a 20 energy build doesn't seem great if thats all you want to do. No mech maxes out at 20 so 20 energy builds are often temporary. That being the case, its a lot to invest into a 10 energy weapon fo dual copies just to use it for a temporary build. But if you plan to use both 10s it can be worth it. Like carbine 10s can be useful to max if you have 2 mechs that max out at 18 energy. That way you could run a carbine 8/10 build on both. Ultimately it just depends on how you plan to use any given mech or weapon long term. Its always better to spend resources with the long term in mind so you dont waste them. Good luck!

Yeah they are good. It’s a decent build. I believe I have them on the video as a good load-out. I will say though that I prefer the long arms on Panther because of the protection of its stasis barrier. Then I would put Missile rack 8s on my Guardian to make use of his system crash ability.
Rocket mortar 12 and 8 is HORRIBLE, but with the new pilots you could probaly get a range implant but I think rocket mortar 12 and missle rack 8 goes very well, you can knock out a jug shield with the missle rack and then rocket mortar

It depends on what energy level you are at for him. But since he is a tanky guy, tank type weapons work well on him; pulse cannons 8s, carbine 8/10, Longarm 8/10, Missile rack 8s. All solid weapon choices.

Yea the longarm 8 is one I have tried a bit and its nice. I think i like the Missile Rack version slightly better since it can hit better at closer distances. Both the longarm and Rocket Mortar are designed for long range. The Longarm version will probably do the most damage, but be the most limited below 100m. Rocket Mortars will have a bit more flexibility, but less damage as a single RM8. I chose the missile racks since it does damage really well and works better for the various ranges.
You could use 2 10s but you’d have to max them. And if your goal is to get guardian to 24 energy, its a lot of resources to invest for a temporary build at 20. But if you know you’ll use both, longarm 10s are a decent weapon to max.
@@Xamno95e6 well you can’t really have under leveled 10s (plural). You can only get a second copy of a 10 or 12 of any weapon after you bring it all the way up to 6 stars. So you could max the 8s and skip the 10, but you can’t run 2 under leveled 10s. But that’s why I recommended an 8 and a 10. This could be under leveled. But yea if your 8s are like 4 or 5 star and your 10 is still 2 star, go with dual 8s.
Very true. Rocket Mortars dedicates you to long range camping. Guardian has a small defense with his ability when enemies get close, but you will need to rely on teammates to clear them as Guardian cant reliably get away at that point.
Not many unfortunately. Once weapons get over 8 energy, they either cost a good chunk of credits or acoins to purchase and upgrade further. The cheapest build I see at this point is the Longarm 8/10. And even that needs good upgrading as it starts at only 2 stars. You could just focus on the Longarm 10 and do dual Longarm 10s at 20, but that takes a lot of time and resources. Quite frankly, anything above 16 energy builds starts to require a time/resource investment as its pushing into end game level energy builds. Until you are able to really do that, you may end up using 16 energy builds on guys with 20 energy.

@@astonishinganiket2776 Then you may want to do an early game build thats 16 energy for now. Missile Rack 8s or Pulse Cannon 8s can work. You could also blend a couple types together like a Rocket Mortar 12 and Missile rack 8. That would be flexible and keep you safe up close and maximize 20 energy. Also - one I didnt mention was the Stasis 12 and Missile Rack 8. It works the same as the 24 energy version (stasis 16/mr8), but just takes a little longer to freeze. The main reason I dont recommend it is because its a stepping stone to end game and to spend close to 3k acoins to purchase the stasis 12 is not really something I like. However, its another option you could try if you'd like. But it might slow progress temporarily. Hope that helps!
Imagine that in the new update you can mount as many weapons as possible until you fill your max energy . Just imagine double carbine 8 and single long arm 8 or maybe double JAVELIN RACK 4 on the top and doivle javelin rack 6 in the sides jist imagine
This would be cool! I remember in early beta the devs said they didnt want to add more weapon mounts on mechs. They didnt want it to get too complicated and I think have done a good job at keeping it simple. However, having stronger versions of weapons like RPG 8s or mechs with a higher energy cap would be nice. Imagine 32 max with dual railguns!

I use Shotgun 8s on my Guardian, Working great so far. Its insanely useful for Close Ranged Maps.
One load out I used on panther and guardian at 20 power was LA10 and Carb10, depending on range I think they clean each other up nicely.

Yea the longarm 8 is one I have tried a bit and its nice. I think i like the Missile Rack version slightly better since it can hit better at closer distances. Both the longarm and Rocket Mortar are designed for long range. The Longarm version will probably do the most damage, but be the most limited below 100m. Rocket Mortars will have a bit more flexibility, but less damage as a single RM8. I chose the missile racks since it does damage really well and works better for the various ranges.
Mortar 12 and carabin12 work really well together
if ur at 20 energy why use a longarm 8 and 10 instead of teo 10s?
You could use 2 10s but you’d have to max them. And if your goal is to get guardian to 24 energy, its a lot of resources to invest for a temporary build at 20. But if you know you’ll use both, longarm 10s are a decent weapon to max.

@@Xamno95e6 well you can’t really have under leveled 10s (plural). You can only get a second copy of a 10 or 12 of any weapon after you bring it all the way up to 6 stars. So you could max the 8s and skip the 10, but you can’t run 2 under leveled 10s. But that’s why I recommended an 8 and a 10. This could be under leveled. But yea if your 8s are like 4 or 5 star and your 10 is still 2 star, go with dual 8s.

Very true. Rocket Mortars dedicates you to long range camping. Guardian has a small defense with his ability when enemies get close, but you will need to rely on teammates to clear them as Guardian cant reliably get away at that point.

Not many unfortunately. Once weapons get over 8 energy, they either cost a good chunk of credits or acoins to purchase and upgrade further. The cheapest build I see at this point is the Longarm 8/10. And even that needs good upgrading as it starts at only 2 stars. You could just focus on the Longarm 10 and do dual Longarm 10s at 20, but that takes a lot of time and resources.
Quite frankly, anything above 16 energy builds starts to require a time/resource investment as its pushing into end game level energy builds. Until you are able to really do that, you may end up using 16 energy builds on guys with 20 energy.

@@astonishinganiket2776 Then you may want to do an early game build thats 16 energy for now. Missile Rack 8s or Pulse Cannon 8s can work.
You could also blend a couple types together like a Rocket Mortar 12 and Missile rack 8. That would be flexible and keep you safe up close and maximize 20 energy.
Also - one I didnt mention was the Stasis 12 and Missile Rack 8. It works the same as the 24 energy version (stasis 16/mr8), but just takes a little longer to freeze. The main reason I dont recommend it is because its a stepping stone to end game and to spend close to 3k acoins to purchase the stasis 12 is not really something I like. However, its another option you could try if you'd like. But it might slow progress temporarily.

They updated it so you can only equip longarm 10 and 12 to 1
If you check their stats, longarm 8 has equip limit of 2, while longarm 10 and 12 have a equip limit of 1

This would be cool! I remember in early beta the devs said they didnt want to add more weapon mounts on mechs. They didnt want it to get too complicated and I think have done a good job at keeping it simple. However, having stronger versions of weapons like RPG 8s or mechs with a higher energy cap would be nice. Imagine 32 max with dual railguns!
