We have a big double garage. One side is my wood shop, and the other my wife does her seed trays and gardening stuff. I get so fed up with dustpan and brushes, scissors, hammers, etc getting borrowed and not bought back when finished with, I bought my wife her own tools she can keep on her side. Of course she still loses her own tools and comes over and takes mine so the situation is barely improved. 😟 BTW I use what is the same as a Jonathon Katz Moses apron, but without his add on holster for the small square. They last me about two years before they are too shabby and falling apart to wear, but they much nicer to wear that overalls etc, and the pockets are super useful. I absolutely love mine.
That is too funny, and sounds like a good idea! Our shop is only 2 rooms in the basement and we have the space maxed out. We did some organizing a year ago because one of us is organized and the other is not.😅. We decided on his and hers work benches. I put things back but those tape measures I hide on myself, hopefully the work apron will help. Thank you for the tip on that, I will check it out!
Here's a lesson I learned from my father 50+ years ago. "A tool that is not in its proper place, does NOT exist." I use a very similar oil canvas apron. Much better than the soft cotton cooking type. Right now, I occupy one side of my garage as I still put my Mustang Convertible in it. I would love to get an "out-building" placed on my property for a dedicated workshop. Just cannot justify the cost at the moment.

I love that!😊
That would be sweet with an out-building and dedicated work shop! I hope to be there one day.
You can use the hammer ring for tapes if the tape clip is big enough, getting it off the ring you hold the tape and push the ring with your thumb
Good idea, thank you!
Nice shop. Keep going.
Thank you😊
