Totally enjoying this playthrough. In Creations there is a free mod that could be useful to you for this playthrough. It is called Map Markers Complete and among other things it gives markers to all the Dragon Burial Mounds but more importantly to all the Shrines. Hope that will help, regards Gary.
I despise the ragdoll effect from getting bucked off as well. And geeze! You certainly are setting quite the challenge for yourself. This will be a rough run
@Obsidianoak it's such an annoying mechanic. Like in mid combat as well when you are getting up from paralysis 😅 My main concern with this was would it translate to watchable content, so I'll to make sure I get the health/armor rating and the damage output scaling above the game as we progress to remedy that. I dont want to be running away from solitary draugr all the time 😅
Yeah very true, that's the plan next time out I think, do a 360° around Whiterun clearing out a few locations. I need smithing materials too so the various mines are a must as well.

I I would last maximum of half an hour playing this way before I started making potions and picking up my BOW 😂 That said I plan to watch you show me how its done! Happy New Year Mike 🎉 Edit: I’ve got to say this episode was a bit of a drain in the stamina. l like all the choices you made, no stealing from farms, Survival needs met, sticking to a role. The only one I don’t like is the hard difficulty, its going to make every battle a marathon. However, I’ll stick it out for a few episodes at least because I love the basic principle of what you’re attempting. Just a reminder, if you go to Katla Farm SW of Solitude you can pick a few crops sell them back to them and you become a friend and can enter the farmhouse and take any of the food freely, you can make your veg soup by their fire and voila, you have some food without stealing.

That was my worry about doing this, it's a challenge for sure but I wasn't sure whether it would translate to watchable content if it's taking me 15 minutes to down a single enemy. This Nord nonsense…but, I meant no disrespect. Oh Proventus, you are puffed up. 😆 I’m digging the run so far! I like the idea of a “pure” Dragonborn run, though I understand everyone may have a different idea of what that is. I particularly like the idea of not pillaging nord barrows and draugers. The would be sacred to the Dragonborn.
Good idea picking sword and shield . I probably would have picked orc, though. My survival mode is glitched. My health doesn't regenerate over time when I eat the soups and the other foods that are supposed to regenerate it over time. It's the same on Xbox and PC for me. I really sucks because I love survival mode. So thank you for making this video. It's nice to watch
@pmuttenthaler thank you! Yeah the orcs are the best race for survival, by quite some distance as well. That's annoying, I've heard about that problem quite a few times actually, seems to be fairly common

Will ask questions also how about doing some more creative storytelling about Skyrim like you do for your character builds. Really interested in how you would tell your characters story's

Luv the self imposed challenge, I try not to sell crafted items cuz since you can farm creep+mora+scaly it breaks the game when 1 potion is worth more than a house.
boss chests you must loot since it's reward for ending a dungeon and so on and also some conteins quest items if i recall correct, but still boss chests and end of dungeons chests.
As to Tiber Septim’s race, one name associated with him is Hjalti Earlybeard who was considered a Breton. I am not sure if any were Imperials, as Talos of Altmora is considered Nord. I use 2 small mods for horses. The first whistles the horse to you and the second have the horses go to certain stables. 2 horses are assigned to each stable. I Just got tired of going through every aspect of “Convenient Horses”
@michaeltelson9798 ah okay I wasn't aware of that, I thought he had imperial blood. The mods sound convenient, especially the whistle one. I like that about The Witcher 3. Means you aren't wandering through bushes trying to find where they've ran off too 😅
I always thought it was ridiculous how much food CC survival mode requires you to eat a day and I had no idea 10 hours are the requires amount of sleep you need for 100% rest.
Haha I can't remember the last time I got close to 10 hours, maybe that's why I'm always knackered 🤣 Agree on the food though, it felt in this episode that the hunger drain might be a tad slower. Will see how we get on, if it's too high and I'm needing to eat multiple meals for breakfast then we'll turn it down 😅

Skyrim has far too many things that could use adjusting. My gripes with survival are how many food items it takes most of the time, how there's like a blizzard every 12 hours up north which seem to go for longer the colder you are, and how you can be a Nerd fully dressed in Skaal fur armor holding a torch under some rock formation outside and STILL freeze to death quickly while everyone else is out there shirtless. Normal mode feels too easy and survival feels too unbalanced.

The nakedness of NPCs makes me laugh, oh you are literally wearing a short sleeve shirt and are coping fine 😅 The hunger felt like it may be fixed in this episode, could just be me but the drain didn't feel as severe. I'll know if it's fixed if I don't need two meals just to cover breakfast 😅 if it gets like that I'll just turn it down a notch
The damage nerfs to players just don't make any sense to me. It doesn't make fights any more difficult, just drawn-out and tedious. A good hit should be equally effective IMO. Hulda gave you the skinny on the magic usage, not much more to be said there. I'd be more inclined to lean into smithing personally. Find a mine full of ore and maybe a mammoth tusk or two I could sell off for steel. I'm also not so sure draugr engaging in battle would be considered honored dead so much as fallen foes, free for looting. Just as shelves in a cript aren't synonymous with items in a coffin or offerings at a shrine to Talos. I do admire your respect for tradition. This should make for a good series, even with the twinkle finger bits.😅

They don't use any new tactics, block more, parry more, use stronger spells etc..it's just damage sponge after damage sponge, which is a shame but oh well. Regarding the looting, I can see your point, I just thought for the sake of keeping it simple I'll leave it all rather than picking and choosing what I take. I'd likely forget as I'm playing or end up questioning whether pot A is okay as it's on a table but pot B I'm not sure as that is on that floor over there near a grave 😅 I think I'll make an exception though for boss chests, I hadn't considered quest or special items being in them from time to time

The second is even enchanted!!! #notmydragonborn Real talk there is a lot more Dragonborntype heavy armor 'Blades' 'Nordic' and some Uniqe Ancient Nord enchanted pieces on Solstheim.
@seanwilliams7059 yeah that was more just because I said I'd stick to light armor, I did want to wear that helm honest 😅 especially the one that was enchanted I found on Mr.Thalmor I did consider using only ancient nordic items for this, armor and weapons etc. Thought that would be incredibly hard on legendary though, as you say you need to go searching for them and Solstheim isn't an area you want to me on as an early player on legendary 🤣

@ If you do the sword retrieval at the Old Hroldan Inn the name Hjalti comes up. The battle for it in the Second era was important.
